I
spent
a
huge
chunk
of
my
childhood
and
early
adulthood
in
this
library
and
the
children's
library
next
door.
Only
stopped
visiting
and
borrowing
as
I
moved
away.
However,
Earlston
Road
holds
a
very
special
place
in
my
heart.
PLEASE
don't
let
subsequent
generations
be
deprived
of
the
privileges
we
had
in
the
'60's,
'70's,
'80's
and
beyond.
Libraries
provide
so
much
community
cohesion
and
much,
much
more.
The
wonderful
books
I
read
that
fed
my
lifelong
love
of
reading
and
developed
my
imagination.
Everyone
should
have
this
opportunity.
And
a
word
about
the
architecture.
Even
as
a
little
girl,
I
remember
being
awed
by
the
majesty
of
the
building.
Please
don't
sell
it
off
and
turn
it
into
apartments.....It
also
ignited
my
love
of
architecture.
Thank
you
Earlston
Road
library
for
so
many,
many
years
of
happiness.
May
you
live
on
and
on.
