Absolutely impressive, with a wealth of knowledge between the whole family.. if they dont have the fish you want then they can order them for you! Honestly I didn't want to leave! Please give this review a like :-)

Read reviews on this place but my experience was not great. Dirty tanks, snail issue in nearly every tank. Some dead fish, can happen but just seemed more than you would expect. Stood at the till for 10-15 mins waiting to be served while 2 members of staff where standing there. Another customer walks in and gets served straightaway. Wasn't impressed. Return visit? NO.

Great family run business. Prices are reasonable and staff knowledgeable. This was my first visit and I'll defiantly be going again. Not much in the coral tank on my visit however the shop owners tell me they were still in the process of restocking after the Christmas rush. Some really nice Beta's and a good variety of tropical, marine and fresh water fish. There's also parking which makes lugging heavy water butts to your car much easier.

Absolutely wonderful place, fish all looked happy. Helped us pick a new thermometer for our tank and helped us decide what to start off with. Will be going back over the next few weeks to pick out some more little fish. The best aquatics shop I've seen in a long time.

The staff here are absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable and best of all don’t force fish down your throat as soon as you step inside. They guide you and advise you and offer knowledge unlike any other fish shop in Liverpool. I’ve never had a bad experience and been going to this shop for the best part of a year. Selection of fish, plants and equipment is amazing and I’m always stumbling across my next pet or items for my next project. Honestly, if your looking for fish or just want some advise this is definitely the place - plus they have a online plumbing site if you need anything for your tanks Well done to the family who run this place Jordan 👍

Excellent knowledge of fish, clean shop, great prices on salt water. If they haven't got what you want they can order it in. Lots of Rock and decoration. Tanks well looked after and the owner even has his own display fish there which are huge and great to look at. Top quality advice for diseases and issues you may face in the hobby and resolution methods which you can carry out to get things back to normal. Top shop and I cannot fault it.

Quite upsetting to see several of the tanks being far too small to accommodate the fish within. Additionally, there were very few features to entertain the fish within the tanks. There was one fish unable to even turn around in the tank and another trying to escape. Furthermore, the pond fish seemed very hungry.

Bought 2 electric blue acaras, staff incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Great selection of fresh, tropical and marine fish. Very well priced as well! I normally go to Southport for my fish but perhaps this will be me new local.

Mostly get my water tested by Mike and Sarah as am new to the marine fish. They are very knowledgeable and really good to chat to, they sell everything you need and would recommend this aquatic shop.

Very clean tanks fish well looked after and a large variety of tropical and marine fish to buy. Staff very helpful to give advice about the fish and very knowledgable. Will definitely be going back to buy more of my tropical fish from there.

Don’t normally write reviews but this place deserves one, I was going to go to Liverpool aquarium in Speke but it was closed so decided on here instead and I’m very glad I did. The chiclid selection was brilliant just what I was looking for they had everything I wanted and more and the member of staff who I spoke to was excellent I believe her name was sue her knowledge was exceptional and she was engaging in conversation with us making us fell very welcome this place is 10 star never mind 5 I will be visiting again any time I fancy buying some more beautiful fish

Popped in at the weekend to have a general browse of their selection and purchase some Methylene Blue. Very friendly owners, the guy behind the till is extremely knowledgeable and has such a passion for fish, we learnt a few tips too. Also a great selection of fishkeeping equipment/solutions/decorations, this will be our new regular fish shop and will definitely be back soon!

I have been going to aintree aquatics for some years now they are very friendly fish place they are not all about the sale. Sue and micheal are always on hand to give u any kind of advice you need They both are very knowledgeable about all kinds of fish ,setups , etc I have managed to go from a starter tank right up to a 3 ft buyo tank with diff setups down the years and any advice I've needed I just simply pop in no matter what day it Is and u get the help u need everytime. I would recommend this place to any fish lover you won't be disappointed.

Cant see how some previous reviews said not many fish choices. This shop is full of fish and fish related things. Staff are very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable, lady behind counter gave me and a work colleague lots of information to get us going and we didnt feel like there was any pressure to buy. We bought 2 fish and will return. Many thanks.

Come here frequently to buy all things fish related. Lovely family business, always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Last visit got some beautiful corries, black phantoms and anubias plants.

Don't get me wrong the shop isn't bad at all, nor is the staff but when you go to this shop you need to be aware your going to spend alot of money. My intentions today was to buy a new fish tank plus set up plus fish to fill it. There was 3 staff working in there today and not one of them acknowledged that we was in the store I made it quite clear I wanted the expensive fish as they are the 1st ones as you walk in. As my tank at home is a 5ft well Established tank with a good selection in. But yet the lady was to busy speaking to other customers at the lower priced fish. The fish tank alone I wanted in there was £500 that's without anything to go with it. Did I get ignored because I had 3 kids with Me? Was it because we are a young family? We will never know but I will never return to find out I wansnt expecting 1st class customer service but a little acknowledgement would have been nice and maybe I would have spent alot in there today.

Upon walking in, you are greeted with over-sized display fish in under-sized tanks. The marine section is absolutely diabolical. All the tanks are disgusing, full of algea and you can tell no care or attention is given into the basic care needs of these animals. The tropical section isnt as bad, however there are still large species of fish such as oscars, in tiny little tanks. While i understand it is retail and they anticipate fish to be moved on quickly, this just isnt the case. Not many people have the space to facillitate oscars, so the animal is left to be in a tiny tank. Not impressed by the care of the marine animals provided by Merseyside Aquatic Warehouse.

Great shop. The staff was really helpful and polite! I've acquired all I wanted and needed and even knowing that I'm an amateur they did sell me stuff I don't need. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely love this store, we do not go anywhere else for our fish and their essentials. Very knowledgeable and understanding owners that are more than happy to give you the best advice. They take great care in their fishies and it shows, the water is sparkling clean and all of the fish seem healthy as ever! The pictures below are of my beautiful fishies purchased from here and my Betta Trio aqua one tank also purchased from here. The fish are really outstandingly beautiful (especially the Pearl Danios). Thank you a lot Sue and Mike, you will always have us as returning customers! <3

Been going here since it opened and 9/10 of my fish are from this store my son who has autism visits Merseyside aquatics with me and the whole family team are patient and explain anything we need to know about the hobby and always answer queries over the phone if needed nothing is ever misinformed or any hassle for mike sue ray and even lily quality shop quality advice deffo recommend a visit deffo a 10/10 pity top marks are 5/5 haha

I have never bought fish there but I always go there to get pretty much all my other aquatic needs and advice. I much prefer places like that to big chain pet stores that sell fish etc. The staff are very knowledgeable and approachable and they offer a huge variety of aquatic goods and obviously fish. I have no doubt you'll find what you need there.

I am new to fish keeping and visited them for the first time today. The people who I spoke to were very helpful and knowledgeable. The young lady spent quite a bit of time with me and I came away with everything I needed. I will definitely be going back.

Great store with large selection of healthy fish which are very well looked after. Fish are quarantined and treated if needed unlike every other store i have been to in my area. I bought a load of cardinal and neon tetra and they are doing amazingly in their new tank very healthy and well looked after, staff are amazing and helpful too will definitely be back in the future.
