Drove an hour to this pet shop as It looked cool on the pictures, I wish I hadn’t of bothered, the place is okay but the animals weren’t cared for as I think they should’ve been, one of the reptile cage lights wasn’t working properly and I told one of the girls that worked there and she said she’d go check it soon, then I seen the fish and a few of them looked ill especially the one I videoed, his eye was badly damaged and he wasn’t swimming much/properly and the other fish kept eating his eye! I told another couple of men that worked there and one came over and said it’s fine it won’t die and he just walked off!!!! I was so shocked I was hoping he would put it in a hospital tank or give it treatment but he couldn’t care less!!!💔 so sad

Excellent service only spent £3 for outside pond part fitted perfect good advice dont try anywhere else . Mr p

Tried to buy pond weed for my fish tank, have been duly told off that it is for fish tanks only but was what I meant anyway, the lizards gave a positive review of their meal worms... 😅😅

Staff here haven't got a clue about proper, safe care for reptiles. Prices are a joke, live feed bugs are usually all dead before you've even bought them. There's better stores elsewhere on the Wirral.

Asked about pond tubing. The sales assistant just pointed and said it's outside. Upon the sale her really seemed like he didn't want to be there and didn't care about the sale. If it wasn't for the fact I needed it urgently I would have walked out the shop and gone elsewhere

Disgusting the way I heard the owner speak to a customer today. Dark, dingy, dated and dirty shop. Wish I had read the reviews on here before I go. Will never return

Took my autistic daughter to buy a fish for her birthday. Staff refused to sell us one stating that the tank must have been set up 4-5 days. We explained we had followed guidance and tank was set up 48 hours ago. My daughter left extremely upset, resulting in a meltdown trying to get her into the car as she couldn't understand why she couldn't have her fish.Thanks for ruining her birthday !Will not be visiting again. Use Carr farm or pets at home, much better customer service,advice and support

Sooooooooo helpful and full of advice just from general questions. Never feel rushed and helped my son and myself lots with our enquiries. Once we've saved up we'll be there to purchase everything!

The fish are kept decently (mostly) but the goldfish display tank was filled with sick, dying and dead fish. The staff that helped me didn't seem bothered and wasn't as helpful. Also it smells.

Best shop on the wirral, Andy himself is an absolute Bible on fish species and care knowledge, take a trip here you won't be disappointed.

Oh my what a shame. This used to be my goto place. Live plants for sale for animals like tortoises 2 out of 6 were dead and the other four looked like they hadn't been watered in a long time (soil shrinking away from pots) Mainly fish being sold now. It looks like a clearance warehouse dust and cobwebs everywhere. On the flip side though the staff are still lovely and very knowledgeable.

This is the best place to go for anything fish/pond related! ..First time we went, was to get a replacement UV bulb for our filter, & he gave us tips on how to do it, without breaking it! .. Been again for advice on feeding fish&new babies. The young girl, gave us excellent (&honest) advice - we could have bought lots of needless stuff otherwise. Great choice of plants, for aquariums&outdoor ponds. Dried, live & jellypots of foods. If this place doesn't have it, you probably don't need it!

Beautiful fish came with my sister to buy guppies. Wish I could have a fish tank haven't any room.

Good shop, has a wide range of stuff for 🐠 , 🦎 , 🐸, 🕸 (apparently a spider emoji is a Web) bit on the pricey side but really good customer service

They had what I needed, when I needed it and at a good price. This got my pond system up and running again. What more could I ask for?

Terrible had fish from this place died not long after all my waters ate good I use api master test kit never buy from you again disgusting place have reported to wirral council when u tell them they say oh must be your water never wsmt to admit that the owner is crook

They’ve got the food fresh and frozen that my axolotls need. Also, they sell axolotls, one of mine is from here and it’s done so well! Never an issue with it.

Staff here are allways super informative, excellent prices compared to the bigger stores. Well recommended.

Excellent for the slightly exotic pets from the Japanese fighting fish & if fish don't rock your boat they even have praying mantis' in colours you wouldn't believe, they have every kind of reptile from snakes to geckos, also baby bearded dragons & as for the insect range from tarantulas and scorpions with colours that I've never seen before. It's a brilliant place.

Just taken on some fish from a neighbour and needed some advice.Extremely helpful and knowledgeable.Came away with more fish and plants 👍🏻
