Absolutely amazing experience. I visited a while ago and I met James. James supported me to get the fish tank fully cycled by providing seeded media and a 'prime' solution. I revisited today to buy some fish and he was really friendly and knowledgeable. I love shopping at Premier Aquatics because Ste and the team go out of their way to find the more interesting species to bring into the hobby rather than the sort of 'bread and butter' you find elsewhere. Due to me living quite far away and the snow we've had this week, I placed my first online order on Saturday evening. Straight away on Monday they were dispatched and arrived safely to me the very next day! The plants look fantastic and are in amazing condition. They're also very generous portions too. Please do what you can to support local businesses like this, when they go into this amount of effort for you, it should always be returned! Thanks Premier!

I've been a customer for nearly two years since they opened, I can honestly say Steve and the lads are the most genuine people you could wish to meet, what ever you want to know they will put you on the right path, and in the shop what ever you want if it's not in they will go out of their way to get it for you.

Well equipped shop nice staff, bought some tropical fish and they all died within a few days all my other fish are fine. Went back a few days later to find most of the tanks in quarantine this unfortunately puts me off coming back here.

This the only shop you will ever need to visit. If you have not been you need to go stop going to all the commercial places and getting rip off. Go see ste and the team if they don't know it about fish keeping it is not worth knowing and they know everything there is to know. As for the stock list there is everything you could ever want and need and more well worth a look. The biggest thing is there live stock i have never in 30 years seen such quality, and range of happy healthy fish all in one place and you see species of fish you will never see anywhere else. I can't sing the praises of the shop anymore than i am doing if a veteran fish keeper like myself thinks this highly of a hidden gem of a shop i can't see why you would not want to pay them a visit if you are a fish keeper or want to start keeping fish

Drop around last Sunday. From R2D2 builders club in opp building. Explain I'm lip reader (deaf) and my problem with the tank. Very patience and helpful. Bought a bottle to try. Seen the fishes I want in my tank. Deffo coming back as never see just clean tanks with happy fishes elsewhere. To buy some oranda fishes once I buy bigger tank. Thank you for your help. Me and my partner visited this store yesterday, we’ve been to most fish stores in and around greater Manchester and I have to say premier aquatics is the best! The service received was amazing and Steve and his staff are clearly very knowledgeable and really friendly. We can’t wait to go back when we want another goldie!

Probably the best aquatics shop in the North West. Quality and variety of products is brilliant and very reasonably priced. All the live stock is in excellent condition and very well cared for before put on sale. All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, with years of experience in fish keeping. Ste (the boss), is just the best, with years of previous experience from working at Blue Planet Aquarium and Chester Zoo, he certainly knows what he's doing and thus can be seen when you go and look at how brilliant the fish look when you go in store. Well worth a visit wherever you are from, I travel 40+ miles to visit this store, as my local ones are nowhere near this good. 🐟😍🐟😍🐟😍🐟😍🐟

Been going into premier now for just over a month as a new keeper. Everytime I pop in with my little 1 year old the guys in the store couldn't be more welcoming and helpful (complete novice here). Always an interesting conversation to overhear as a new hobbyist. It's well stocked, clean & the guys have very high standards for the livestock

Decent selection of tropical fish, and a lot of super weird stuff; there's stuff in their tanks that I've only ever seen in textbooks. Knowledgeable staff, owner is a decent guy with encyclopaedic knowledge. If you're after some unusual and lesser known tropical fish, this is where it's at.

Excellent range of fish, plants, hardscape and everything else you need from custom built tanks to all the equipment you need. Friendly and helpful owner/staff, knowledgeable and willing to help. Fish are healthy, tanks clean and generally a really awesome place.

Visited for the 1st time while in the area a while ago last year. What can I say, the place is amazing. Have been buying from Steve for years now online, And had to visit the store. It's a great place for beginners to advanced and everything in between. If this place was nearer, it would be my go to place for all things aquatics. The tanks are spotless and fish look healthy and active, which is what you look for. The staff are all knowledgeable and it shows, as well as their passion for the hobby and fish alike. Always ogle the mother plants Steve shows on his stories etc. Hopefully a new big tank later in the year, abs will be ordering fish and plants from Steve, as want mother plants 🪴 Onwards and upwards Steve

This is the best tropical fish store i have been to and i have been to a few. The staff are very friendly, informative and couldn't do more to help you. The selection of fish is second to none, with a great variety of stunning, healthy and vibrant fish. I couldn't recommend anywhere better. Great job premier aquatics, keep up the good work

1st time visit today doing roughly a 240 mile tour of a few different Aquatic shops along the way, and this one was hands down the cleanest, most well presented shop I've ever visited, its almost surgical it's that clean. There's a saying "love what you do, and you'll never work a day in your life" And I think it's true where Steve is concerned, in the little time I spent in there, it didn't seem like it was his job! It looked like a way of life!

I can't recommend this place highly enough! The staff are always genuinely friendly and extremely helpful offering advice and recommendations, regardless of whether you're buying or just browsing. The store is immaculate and very well stocked with a massive variety of both cold water and tropical fish. They stock an excellent selection of accessories such as tanks, treatments, foods and other essentials at very good prices. As a novice aquarist I have asked countless questions and the staff have always been really keen to help and encourage. I genuinely can't recommend this place highly enough.

If I could leave a zero I absolutely would since that is the level of service I received from this company. I decided to invest over £500 into a bespoke fish tank for my sons Christmas present. I have saved up and liased with the owner of this company many times and exchanged many emails. I chose a date which was agreed and calling up to double check today and pay any required deposit I am told that he ‘forgot to write my job down and he can’t do my job for Christmas’ now my little boy will be let down and no attempts were made to rectify this. Disgusted, what an utter waste of time!

Such a lovely atmosphere when you go in and the lads are so friendly and very knowledgeable. Bought fish from the shop and all in amazing condition. Have got alot of plants online plus food and again amazing quality and service. Would 100% this place .

Went today for the first time. Easy to find, loads of parking. Shops clean, all the tanks are spotless and they have a great selection. Got a male betta and some plants all in really good condition looking healthy. Will definately be back

Absolutely love going here. All the staff are so friendly and professional and most importantly they are always smiling. I would highly recommend Premier Aquatics to anyone who is interested in the hobby of fish keeping regardless of how much or little experience they have. The staff here will happily answer any questions or queries without judgement and the quality of the stock is phenomenal (from livestock, to food and even aquascaping).

All round satisfaction - excellent. All the staff are willing to listen and give practical advice. I have bought fish at the shop and have ordered food and plants on line or on the phone. Steve's videos on Facebook have been very informative and I look forward to them, particularly the fish viewing ones. Every experience has been positive and 10/10. I travel whenever I can from Wigan and the journey is well worthwhile.

It's got evertlything you need from a spectacular variety of stunning fish, to a fantastic range of plants and amazing range of treatments/decorations and mantainance items for every tank. Hidden tropical fish gem. Called in on a recommendation and was not disappointed had a wide selection of tropical fish, real plants. They dont cost the earth either like some other mainstream aquatics shops and im pretty confident they are better quality too!

Very knowledgeable and well presented establishment, with a good selection of stock. Livestock looks healthy and the habitats very clean. Make sure you call on arrival - makes the whole process smoother.

Could do with more fish in and the fish are not cheap but its clean and dont smell in the shop.. bit of a ball ache finding it even with sat nav and you havto ring the shop to get in which some people have no phone or credit.. but id go again as i know where it is and how to get in there
