Took my 90 year old Mum to see this lovely, well laid out and impressive garden centre in the quaint village. I stayed in the village last year on holiday and remembered the garden centre. Mum had an interesting time aided by a very helpful and knowledgeable member of staff, getting what she wanted.

Came in for a browse and was immediately drawn to the wonderful houseplants! Hannah was really helpful and made me want to buy every single plant, especially the beautiful begonias! Just wish I had space for more plants, Hannah really helped by answering all my questions! Lovely member of staff, I can't wait to go back soon to fill my car up with plants - hoping Hannah's there to help me choose! Best houseplants section and selection I have ever seen in a garden centre.

This is now the 3rd time that we have travelled over to the garden centre, to enjoy a breakfast, to be greeted by the restaurant is closed or only serving drink and cakes. I know these have been strange times, but they can't even be bothered to announce these changes on their website. That is the last time. Perhaps you can afford to lose customers.

Shop doesn't take cash which is unfortunate since you're only aware when you're about to make a purchase, half the plants are withering with rot/black rose spot/bugs munching on the leaves, prices are exorbitant, and the workers are rude and ignore any questions about the products. Wouldn't recommend this garden centre even to my greatest enemy. It's a shame since I had high hopes for some nice plants :(

If you are in Port Sunlight then make a trip to the garden centre. It is lovely and really well stocked with lots of gift ideas. Plenty of parking available. They have started to get in the Christmas stock. Could have spent all day here and done my Christmas shopping but we were too hungry so had to go to find subsistence elsewhere...Thought there would be a cafe there but this seems to have closed. There are toilets there.. Nearby eateries are the Bridge Inn and the tea room opposite station and restaurant in the museum...

Visited yesterday for the 1st time and loved it. The home / gift section indoors is fab and the large outdoor plant area is hugely varied and has everything. The young girl on the till went over and above with her lovely manner and helpfulness on ordering me a wooden bench. Great service .... will be back soon for a lot more bedding pkants 😍

I visited here today and spent a good amount of time looking at all the plants and chose some beautiful flowering ones for my garden. I approached the till and produced cash and much to my embarrassment was told you only accept card payment. I only had cash on me, which is legal tender. I was so upset and left without the plants I wanted. What a disgusting way to treat your paying customers. It was a complete waste of my time and petrol. You have lost a customer with me and I will give my support to garden centres and nurseries who value their customers.

Swapped our broken Christmas lights without quibble. Katherine from customer services was extremely helpful and was patient with my disability whilst I explained what had happened. I understand the difficulties in running a restaurant and why it had to close but could a small space not be rented out to a coffee cart and or a cookie cart firm just to give the customers a chance to purchase a hot drink . Food for thought.. Great service though Many thanks and praise to katherine.

Really nice garden centre. Prices were reasonable and there was a good selection. friendly staff too. Not sure why there are so many reviews about not taking cash. I find it quite refreshing that a business takes a pragmatic approach to this in order to pass on savings to customers. Well done for being brave and sticking to your principles.

I visited the garden centre last weekend looking to purchase a gift for my friend's birthday. The staff member working in the indoor gift section (I think her name was Erin) was most helpful! She recommended quite a few gifts and I was really happy with her choices (and my friend who received the gifts was too!). Lovely gifts and very reasonably priced too! I previously visited over a month ago, purchasing some outdoor plants and again the friendliness and helpfulness from the staff was superb. Alison, who was working outside, had great knowledge and recommended some lovely plants (I cannot remember what they are called but they are beautiful!) Again, very reasonably priced and excellent service by all!

Can't recommend this garden centre more highly. Firstly, all the staff are so attentive and helpful and the entire place is well presented and easy to find your way around. They have one of the widest selection of plants in the area and their prices are always really competitive. Love when they have the double and triple points days too! Just such a shame there is no longer a cafe to enjoy any more.

Staff member Alison was very helpful and she gave me lots of advice on how to care for different plants and trees. Great service and a lovely well kept garden centre. Highly recommended

Lovely little (big) garden center. Everywhere you turn it seems like there's more to see. Massive range of products, from your typical gardening supplies all the way to incense, you'll find something here that interests you. Some good discounts and what seems like genuine bargains. Seasonal section all themed up for Halloween when we visited which was lovely. Dog friendly in store. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The outside surrounding area of port sunlight is picturesque, a very relaxing walk and some nice local sights. Definitely visit if you're in the area.

Nice garden centre in the boundaries of port sunlight. Good selection of flowers/shrubs and gift ideas available. The incense sticks where you can pick any 10 for £1.99 is really good and they had 30 different ones to choose from when I went a week ago sp bought all 30 to try 😊. Free parking at the garden centre but also plenty of parking on the quiet roads nearby too in the village itself.

Love it here, could spend all day browsing especially this time of year. Beautiful stuff, wish they still had a cafe

Just waited between 10 to fifteen minutes to be served at till. Woman in front ordering a bench not her fault but wouldn't it be better if ordering was done at customer services. To rub salt in the wound the woman on the till never even said sorry for your wait. It's a shame because the garden centre is lovely shame about the tills.

Lovely place. Loads of choice. Didn't know where to start, could have spent a small fortune with the amount of items to choose from. Loads of parking and friendly staff.

Been many times. A lovely little garden centre with helpful friendly staff. They sell very healthy plants and quite a few bargains. There is no cafe now here but doesn't stop me from visiting time and time again. There,s the added bonus of a card that gets stamped each time you spend 10 pounds. A good little saver scheme. Nice place.

Gorgeous garden centre, but when the restaurant closed it lost its heart. It went a bit too fancy last time they reinvented it as a restaurant with fancy food. I could blame the order at table service on the pandemic but it continued when it didn't need to. I used to visit weekly with friends/family, always bought something and finished in the cafe with a sandwich or cake or both. It's just not the same anymore.

Great products... too many your spoilt for choice. What made it perfect was being able to take my dog too. Had a great afternoon and the staff were so nice. Def going again!

Good range of plants and garden extras . Well stocked with lots of great items . However you have a no cash policy which actually meant on that particular day that you didn't want my money and I couldn't spend anything! I must say the teenager explaining this on the door could only say "company policy " when I asked the reason of this and was some what rude and arrogant about not excepting U.K legal tender. Repeating company policy . It's a shame the cafe is gone . Seems a heavy handed approach when it could have been scaled back rather than closed totally. I know these are challenging times with costs but it brings a lot of people to the garden centre. Please accept cash payments. It's not asking too much is it?

We always enjoy our visit to your garden centre, your range and quality of plants is excellent. Garden items, house plants and accessories fantastic. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Your delivery service is also very welcome and delivery staff very accommodating. Thank you for everything, we will visit whenever we can.

Went for large shrubs not a lot of variety but plenty of smaller shrubs and bedding plants . Couldn't find enough to buy to justify the £32 delivery charge

LOVED this place! First visit to Liverpool and fell in love with Port Sunlight. This garden centre find was a welcome delight full of fabulous Christmas decs along with a good range of plants etc. The cafe was a good size with well spaced seating, the service first class with super friendly staff with a good choice of tasty lunchtime food. Will definitely be visiting again next time we visit 😊 👍

We went for our breakfast the other morning as we had a voucher 2 breakfasts for £8..there normally £5.50 each..this was the light breakfast and we got two coffees they were £3.30 each. Total £14.40 bit expensive I wouldn't go back again but I will say good quality produce nice and hot... Amazing service.. But we starving

It was late in the day on a Sunday but the staff seem disinterested and things seem too much effort. We ate in the cafe first the food was OK but not value for money. We bought some flowers for our outside baskets but no one really wanted to help with our inquiries. We will be back as other visit have been much better and the quality if the plants are very good but we won't be visiting the cafe again.

Lovely independent garden centre. Well stocked with plants pots and everything you need for the garden. Decorated extensively for Christmas with different colour themes in each section as you walk through. Lovely place to visit and take the kids. Lots and lots of lovely decorations to buy and a gift and home section too. And the cafe after shopping. Well worth a stop there for lunch. Could spend a good hour or 2 wandering around outside and in.
