The people who run this hostel make it a great place to stay. They're really kind and make sure the hostel is never silent or awkward. One time we spent the evening in the back yard rather than going out to a pub and had a good time. It's also not very far from the centre of Liverpool, and the breakfast is nice.

Excellent value as it's so cheap. Hostel is very shabby - no lock on our bathroom door, no toilet roll, very springy and uncomfortable beds, not very nice duvets. The radio was playing on the landing until after midnight - I had to ask staff to turn it off, which was weird. Generally the staff were friendly and nice and the place felt safe. Location is fine, though a little far from the action.

Really cheap place so great for budget travel. Decent breakfast, full kitchen with equipment to use, lots of fridges and freezers to use too. One of the bathrooms had a dodgy door and the shower/bath was all pulled apart from the wall and just sitting in the bath. Not too clean... the place just needs a bit of up dating. People are drinking and smoking so if you're not about that then be aware. Good for a one night stay. They didn't mention that we needed to bring towels though, and the dorm rooms were boiling hot.

I absolutely loved everything about the hostel. The workers are really warm to their customers and their service is flawless and prompt. Clean environment and comfortable room to relax. No noise and no disturbance. I admire the hostel and the setting and will always recommend.

Liverpool is a great place to visit and it makes perfect sense to have a nice place to crash after your tour in the day. I was shown a very cozy room in Everton hostel when the cab driver dropped me off. The service there is top notch and I appreciated the treatment I received. They are very professional and their priority is truly their customer's satisfaction.

Was brilliant, nothing like I expected ever! I decided to travel on a moped around some city's in the UK, this was one of the hostels I stayed at, really friendly, funny, and helpful people there! Had such a laugh. Please before you visit, understand there is multi national and multi cultural differences with everyone! Remember this is a very cheap hostel, please don't expect 5* luxury, visiting here is for the experience, not for the price of the bedding your going to be given!

Fine if you're drunk and don't mind going to the toilet in front of people. Wouldn't sleep in those beds unless you're fully clothed. But it's cheap and the staff are fun.

My college buddies and I recently visited Europe. We decided to stay at the Everton Hostel in Liverpool. This was a great decision. We loved it. It was clean, cozy and the neighborhood was nice. After a long day of site seeing when we came back to the Hostel we had late night pool games. One day we even hung out in the garden and grilled. This was a great choice.

Everyone on staff is excellent. Very friendly, and welcoming. When I came home early one night, an employee convinced someone in the commons area to take me out. Had a blast. Bed is comfortable enough, location isn't the worst but you're not directly at the city center. You can either walk about a mile, or take a cab for about £6. Was originally only booked one night, but ended up extending my stay.

My stay at the hostel matched the price. The people running the joint were friendly enough but the building was just lacking. I was not provided sheets like everyone else and my room was freezing due to the window not closing properly. Luckily I was able to find some blankets to use. The rooms are very cramped though that is to be expected with 6 bunk beds. The toilet didn't work half the time and the shower door was off the hinge so it didn't close properly and created a huge puddle whenever anyone showered. Not to mention the showers were extremely touchy and many people ended up having extremely cold showers. Breakfast is included. The location is not bad at all and it is only about a 15 minute walk to the center of town. Overall, the hostel was satisfactory. At such a low price you take what you can get.

Cheap place to stay, managed by volunteers. There is to many people hanging around, however only a few ones take care of the house. The kitchen is quite dirt, the shower doesn't work property and the breakfast it's acceptable. The beds are very old and there is only one bathroom for 12 people, so you may get up very early for having a pee.

I did not have a good experience at all. The photos I saw were nothing like how the hostel looked in real life. It was hidden about 20 minutes north of the city. It did not even have a sign out front so it was hard to find. The room was run down and dirty. One of the beds broke while my friend was sitting in it, & in the morning there was a huge puddle of water surrounding our toilet. On top of that, the wifi didn't work & the breakfast they were supposed to provide was barely more than a few pieces of bread. Spend a few extra bucks to stay somewhere nicer and closer to the city, it would be worth it. The only positive was that the staff was friendly and the sheets seemed clean.

The welcome was ok, but the overall place was very bad. One single bathtub (dirty) + one single toilet for a total of at least 10 beds. No fresh bedsheets, no way to know if the sheets on the bed are clean or not. For a price of 25 pounds per night. (on the weekend though) The place just does not seem to be adapted for a Hostel. Luckily we staid for a single night. I really cannot recommend this place !
