The best place to eat in central Birkenhead by far. I ve been going to this stylish place for a couple of years now. It has a impressive historic fascia , very attractive interior and relaxed atmosphere plus good choice of food and ..friendly staff ( hello Dana). See the pics here. Right opposite McD s on Charing Cross in the heart of Birken-vegas as us locals call it. I can always go to Riviera and relax , enjoy the stylish decor and not feel pressured at all. Good for meeting friends over a snack n coffee or drink ( the bar serves lots cocktails etc if that's your thing) or for a full blown meal. High recommended . SMc

Enjoyed a really good, well cooked steak with a very nice mushroom sauce. Will come again without doubt.

This is an amazing restaurant, we in Birkenhead should feel privileged to have such a top quality eatery on our door step. You could pick this restaurant up and put it anywhere in Liverpool, Manchester or London and it would not be out of place. Always amazing 👏 ❤️ ✨️

Went with my elderly parents,daughter and partner.Had a mixed platter for 2 with my Dad.Couldn't work out which were the lamb chops, lumps of grizzle.Three 2×1 inch pieces of frozen chicken breast on a skewer.Likewise with overcooked chewy lamb.Lamb kofta was ok ,chicken wings best thing on plate and 2 ALDI ribs. My mum got overcooked lamb chops,my missus got meatballs which were awful and my daughter got a steak burger which she enjoyed.(one nice meal out of four).Poor food.Wont be rushing back.

I'm not a salad person, but the Caesar salad was to die for. Delicious. Great portions. Great service, Great restaurant.

Just happened on this resteraunt whilst on a stop over. Food was amazing, everything cooked perfectly, staff friendly and accommodating. Shame it wasn't busier but overall had a lively evening. Would definitely go back there if I'm in this area again.

Booked in 2 weeks ago for a table for my mother's 80th . . .which was booked for 5pm on the 4th January . . .we have been calling since 4.30 no answer . .still yeting to call at 5.15 . . .had to then go look for somewhere else to eat for a family meal . Not happy at all x

Visited here with my Hubby whilst staying in Birkenhead a few weeks ago. The food was so lovely and we had cocktails from the happy hour menu which were delicious. The service was okay but could have been better. The young staff members didn't check back to see how our meals were. Apart from that, we had a good experience.

Absolutely amazing!!! Food is absolutely delicious and the service was incredible and very friendly, went out their way to ensure we had the best time. Definitely coming back here!!!!!

We never ate our meals due to the disgusting food served. Everything taste the same. The chicken was the worst quality I have ever tasted. We got a children's spaghetti Bolognese and it tasted and smelt like it had gone off, and the pasta was soggy. We then had to buy another meal for our son which he did not eat. The most that got consumed was 3 fajita wraps, the cocktails were also disgusting, sugar, sugar, sugar. Not worth a visit at all would not visit again and will be advising people to go elsewhere. Our bill came to £70 an it was the worst £70 ever spent. I am not a fussy eater but that was disgraceful.

The food was excellent, me and my kids went,we all totally enjoyed our meals,the cocktails were delicious but a little pricey but I would go there again.

This place has a really homely beautiful set decor. The service is great and the owner very friendly and hands on. It's all cooked fresh and home cooked. Well worth a visit and in general the value for money is great. More food choices on the specials for lunch and early diner would bring in more customers. Little gem in Birkenhead that should be visited by any tourist.

Never again, my wife ordered a lamb shank, after digging through the stew that had been poured over it, the centre was stone cold. Was asked if we would like it heated back up or pick something else, to which my wife refused, then charged us for her meal, and when asked to see the manager was told they had just left, typical 🤢🤢🤢
