When I was last in there, the barman announced he would be closing at 9.30 because they had run out of cellar gas. Our group were the only customers, and as we were drinking cask beer the lack of gas didn’t affect us. I suspect he just couldn’t be bothered staying open for 4 customers, but as we were playing a boardgame that still needed another hour to finish our evening was ruined. Since then I’ve discovered this is a regular event with this barman, and happened even on a busy Friday night. Hard to see how the pub can survive when it turns away customers like that.

Fantastic award winning craft and cask ales direct from Liverpool Brewing Company with sublime Nepalese Street Food upstairs. DnD Mondays, Redtooth Poker Tuesday nights, Quiz Wednesday Night, Rock Karaoke Saturday nights and much more. Amazing new city centre venue!

Was eager to go here to try the beers and seeing they do Nepalese Momos made it top of the list on my visit to Liverpool. Tried 4 different cask ales and all were delicious. The staff were welcoming and the bloke running the place was chatty, helpful AND brought little tasters of beers to our table as the barrels were put on. We ordered some of the dumplings from the Nepalese place upstairs and they were also outstanding and a good portion for the price. Ended up staying longer than I expected because it's so great! They were setting up Rock Karaoke downstairs as we left which sounds fun too

Several months since back in Liverpool city centre where thankfully no shortage of some great pubs selling quality cask ales! What a surprise to find this tap as another addition to the already impressive list of great places to drink. Great choice of their own beers which are very drinkable! It was very busy ( it's certainly been found!) Staff great & friendly & if you are a Camra member you get a discount how great is that!

Nice beer, nice vibe...but what they don't say (and they should) is truly amazing and authentic Nepalese street food. I love spicy food and they really did satisfy my cravings. The pan puri (little crisp balls that you fill with vegetable curry and a sour, spicy sauce, then pop whole into your mouth) were so good, they alone warrant a return visit. I almost feel bad adding that the food was amazingly cheap, but the quality would grace a more expensive restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Must visit for residents and locals alike. A truly independent bar, great place for a chat and to try some truly local beers. Although there's plenty of guest beers from breweries from up and down the country and a great selection of drinks for non-beer-lovers!!

Boss boozer. Indeed a sanctuary from the chaos of the city centre. If you like good music and good beer, go here. A welcome escape from everywhere else.

Loved everytime I got some drinks here. Everyone was nice, even though we clearly weren't from around. On our first time in this bar we got to try several different drinks, but our favourite was definitely the mango cider, it's sweet and different from everything we got back home. These were some great memories guys, thank you for all the niceness, you made our vacation be that much awesome.

This is a place that's clearly been conceived by someone with a clear idea of what makes a pub good. Everything is slightly ramshackle in the best possible way, the beer is good, the prices are beyond reasonable, they've quietly thought of everything you'd want and provide it without any fuss. Nowhere better anywhere near.

Nice little independent bar/pub. Pint of Lilley's cider for £4 is a good price! Decent range of other ales/stouts. Also do specialist beers to take-away.

Great little pub. Some great beers, and the music is good. And located right by lime Street so ideal for a cheeky drink before heading home

Good selection of cask beers on. Open 🎤 mic on was a good shout for a few hrs. Friendly batman and customers. Toilets and areas need tlc.

Hands down the best pub in Liverpool. There's always a great selection of local beers on and they're all of superb quality. As well as beer you can also get a huge variety of spirits, ciders, wine, and soft drinks. The staff are friendly and contribute to the warm and friendly atmosphere. In addition, you can also order Nepalese streetfood from Momo's upstairs. This is a 5-star pub even without mentioning how the prices are comparatively cheap compared to other pubs in the area. Not far from Lime Street station too, so it's perfect if you're getting off a train after a long journey. Definitely a must visit pub when you're in the area!

Very local feel to this bar. Staff have all been really friendly and helpful when recommending drinks. Not a huge place but cosy. There's also a place open above it that sells Nepalese food called Momos. The food sold from there is amazing and nice to nibble on whilst having a beer. Would definitely recommend it!

Amazing bar, great atmosphere. Just wish they had a better selection of drinks. Some popular lager and strongbow dark fruit would make this place the best. Maybe get some bottles of brother's toffee apple and other flavours too? Then I'd be in here all the time with all my friends.

Was on my way to the vines opposite when I spotted this place. A really great little place. Food available upstairs and can bring back down to the pub which I will do next time. However the star of this place was Joel who spent a lot of time going through the range of ales , he is incredibly friendly and a huge asset to the brewery, his enthusiasm and knowledge is second to none . I look forward to going again and again

Great real ale venue. Momo's serving Nepalese street food (on any of the three floors of the building). Staff working hard. Smashing

Had some great beers in here, the dark ale was the star of the show for me. Very welcoming place and the bartender was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend this place to others!

A real friendly local in the heart of Liverpool - top class cask ales at very reasonable prices - even cheaper for CAMRA members

A group of us were in here on sunday night after the Everton match. The choice of real ales was excellent, as well as craft beers. Great choice of music all night. The barman was very friendly and informative Will definitely return to this gem of a bar 👍

Great little hole in the wall brewery. One of the few places with barstools and as an American that made me feel right at home. I became a regular pretty quickly!

Reopened under new management and so much the better for it. Bar manager is chatty and welcoming. Good beer, and the winner for me was the Momo dumplings on offer. In the words of Arnie-I'll be back! Loved it !

Cracking venue for a few before a night on the town. The staff are top notch folk. Friendly and attentive. Amazing prices with a great selection and always happy to offer advice if you're not quite sure what you fancy. I think this has to be a new favourite, not encountered a chilled out venue like this in Liverpool in a long time. It's clear they're not just after your wallet, but are here to stay with a focus on providing a haven from the craziness of the pool. They live up to their name. If you're after a swift one after work, look no further. If you're looking for a place in the centre of town that feels like a local, you're in good hands.

Absolute hidden gem in Liverpool, not a long walk from Lime St station. Always amazing with their selection of craft, cask beer and an amazing atmosphere

Great craft beer bar, a short walk from Lime Street Station. The staff were really friendly and the table service was efficient, even at 7pm on a Friday evening.

Totally not a chain or theme bar. This is a good beer enthusiasts find. It was quiet being the end of Tuesday night but plenty to choose from. I am definitely going to be visiting this place for a couple of pints and try the bar snacks next time I'm in Liverpool

A bar that has risen from the ashes of it's previous incarnation. Now run by Liverpool Brewing Company, the bar has about 8 cask beers on, and importantly for me, two of them were stouts. My Mrs was pleased too as they sell a decent bitter too. Well worth a visit but the seats could do with an upgrade!!

Visited late on a Wednesday evening, the bar was quiet but the owner & other guests were friendly and chatty. Great selection of beers. Warm & cosy atmosphere. Vastly better than the cheesy themed pubs nearby. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Rustic is the word that springs to mind. Limited choice of craft ale but two extraordinary stouts on offer. Nepalese restaurant downstairs in the evening I believe

Fantastic news to see that this wonderful little Bar is back open, I was last there in 2018 I'd been there a few weeks previously and received a warm welcome, lively ales as I remember with the Plum Porter a favourite of mine hope to visit there in October when the Tattoo Convention is on.

One of my favourite pubs in the city centre with a great selection of beers, ciders, spirits etc at very fair prices. Good people running it who've made it really friendly and welcoming. Met a lot of great people there in the last couple of months 👍

One of my favourite bars in town. Tucked away from the busier streets, good for a quiet drinks and chat with friends while enjoying rotating guest ales. Often frequent here before traveling on the train
