I'll start by mentioning the ample car parking, even though this establishment can get busy on weekends I never have to wait for a space. It's well laid out, with a beautiful variety of decor and plants to choose. Inside the store you'll find outdoor furniture, decorations, BBQ equipment, gardening tools, fertilizers, seeds, things like candy and scented candles, decorative vases, outdoor lighting... Right next to that is a smaller section selling clothing articles. There is a cafe and they serve traditional English tea, which I haven't tried yet so can't comment but I will update the review once I do so. It always seems to be busy which is a good sign. Outside, a myriad plants, flowers, paving slabs, water features, and more to choose from. Helpful staff too that was happy to provide advice about what would work well for my garden. At the back there is a Maidenhead Aquatics store that I reviewed separately. This is a lovely establishment to visit with lots of variety to see. It's my choice for gardening needs and I don't see it changing. The only negative I should mention is that I often have to stay on the line for checking out quite often. I think checkout should be straightforward, fast and staffed appropriately but I experienced on several occasions the tills being empty with staff standing around while customers were waiting to pay - not very smart...

We went for an afternoon tea as a group of four of us. Payment was required in full on booking. (Not impressed with this) The venue was lovely but the toilets were quite a way from the restaurant bit we didn't have to worry about this as the unlimited tea and coffee didn't happen.(only got one extra drink for one of us and that was because they had drank her coffee before the afternoon tea arrived)The service to say the least was non existence they visited to give us our drinks and afternoon tea and that was it. We had a person with a food intolerance of dairy and gluten and the afternoon tea they were offered was definitely not worth the money. The cake selection was one small cake cut in half and 4 sweets. (We found these on sale in the shop) We have been going for afternoon teas in different venues and Palmer's were one of the worse for people with choice. As for the rest of us the afternoon tea was nice but had been prepared before hand as the bread on the sandwiches were dry. It's such a shame as it was a lovely place. I would have gave you my feed back if we saw a server that we could speak too. I truly feel that because we had paid in full before you didn't care about the service or food quality. If you read my previous reviews you will see I don't give many bad reviews. Sorry Plamers as a shop you were great but your restaurant needs to be looked at.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Good selection of products at competitive prices. Plants amd flowers all looked healthy and well maintained. The cafe was great. Friendly staff, nice and clean and delicious food. We've now made this a weekly brunch stop!

Well what a fantastic find. I'd ordered our Christmas tree from Palmer's after searching through Google and comparing prices from all providers. We got a phonecall today to come and collect it. The garden centre was very well organized, no hiccups, really professional and what a fantastic healthy tree it was. Will certainly be ordering my next year's tree from here again. Many thanks. Called just after Christmas for a browse and coffee. Decided to stay for dinner. Busy cafe but promptly shown to a seat. Ordering was quick and payment taken at the table. Food arrived quickly and could have been a tad warmer otherwise good value. Cleanliness in the cafe and toilets was faultless considering the number of people in store. Always a good selection of goods and helpful staff. Well done!

This garden centre sells everything you didn't know you wanted! Once actually in the plant part of the garden centre a good selection of plants. Good cafe and service.

Called in to Palmers for some Peat Moss. Found the staff to be very friendly, polite and very helpful. Recieved good advice helping me to find a replacement for the Peat Moss as you can no longer purchase this from most Garden Centres. Had a very enjoyable time and would recommend them to anyone who needs help with their Garden requirements. Thank you 😊

Palmers is a fabulous garden centre with almost every plant you can think of. The prices are competitive compared with another I visited recently. The whole centre is easy to navigate, with stock being displayed mainly in the same area. The cafe is very good with lunches served as well as snacks. The afternoon tea looks extremely nice when I've watched it being served, too. The staff are smiley & knowledgeable. My only gripe is if you need to sit for a couple of minutes whilst walking around (like me), there aren't any seats to do this. Palmers is definitely worth a visit it's a lovely place to go.✅️

I love this place. It's always a lovely day out at the garden center. They have a large selection of indoor and outdoor plants. I buy all our garden plants from here and so far have not had any problems. The staff are knowledgeable and really helpful. Friendly coffee shop on site too. Definitely recommend.

What can I say but was the best afternoon tea I've had. Plenty of filling in the sandwiches which were very yummy.Cakes were all very very nice. Good choice of inclusive refillable drinks including various different teas and coffees., And if you can't eat it all they will give you a box to take home. Staff were 10/10.

A great place and much more than a garden centre! There is a very popular cafe here, a huge variety of gift ideas from jewellery, pebble art, garden ornaments and they also stock Charlie Bears and Jellycat soft toys.

The garden centre has good parking A d has the works .Edinburgh wool shop ..a d maidenhead aquatics as part of its attractions. Good selection of gifts and cards and gardening tools..seating ect. However the cafe really let's garden centre down. I would argue that when visiting a garden centre a coffee and cake is part of the experience. Been twice recently as like garden centre but put of by over officious staff..poor service and lacklustre cake and bitter coffee. Last two visits plenty of tables but had to Q with servers smiling and saying be with you in a minute which on both occasions was 5 minutes. When adked where would like to sit then told as party of 2 couldn't sit by window as reserved for larger parties and other choice reserved for afternoon tea. Time was 10.30am Service was slow and coffee arrived with most of it in saucer..no apology and when asked for napkin it appeared that we had made unreasonable request. Cheese scone was dry and cake small portion for price and again dry. Such a shame as cafe prior to alterations was excellant. Garden centre fine though

Not been for years, but went to the cafe for coffee and cake and was not disappointed. Also enjoyed the Works, craft shop and other gift shops. I also bought a couple of pictures in the sale. Most enjoyable day.

Great place to visit (Ullesthorpe site). Lots of interesting plants for indoors or outdoors, as well as home items, books, The Works and other franchises, and also a great cafe. All of the staff are very helpful and can advise you on what plants to use in certain areas and also how to deal with any plant problems. On our last visit with our six year old granddaughter, a very realistic Santa Claus was there wandering around and greeting everyone. My granddaughter was so pleased and had a lovely chat with him!

Always looks fresh, appealing and well stocked. Their Christmas displays are truly outstanding. The food in the cafe is nice but service is slow and not always very friendly - there are one or two staff who clearly just do not like their jobs and are unhelpful and miserable looking. However, to be fair, there are good and bad days so it's not somewhere I avoid, I just don't see it as a reason to go there as it is with other garden centres. Lovely service elsewhere through the garden centre anad overall a nice place to spend an hour or so.

A lovely garden centre with well tended plants and, not surprisingly at this time of year, a profusion of Christmas paraphenalia. Staff are friendly too. Toilets (for those who are interested in these things) are excellent! The only reaon I have marked the store 4 out of 5 rather than 5/5 is that we searched high and low for a garden pot, finding several we would have liked to purchase, but they were all either chipped or cracked which is disappointing.

Went for lunch - the cafe is lovely with plenty of choice. Santa was also walking around so it was a great opportunity to get my little one used to seeing him before Christmas is officially upon us and Santa's are everywhere 🤭 Also the Christmas decs are up and it looks beautiful - worth a peruse

Always gorgeous food at the cafe, good sized portions, lovely staff. Observed a young waitress having a very rude elderly customer who was complaining about everything unnecessarily and she handled her so well. So polite, even though the lady was very rude. A lovely place to unwind and walk around. Plants are a bit expensive but beautiful.

Love Palmer's,bit today was not the best visit, the drinks arrived very quickly, 30 minutes later, panini arrived with a side of coleslaw, which looked lovely. But on first mouthful it was very warm right to the bottom of the dish, like it had been sat under a heat lamp for quite some time. So a little disappointed today.
