I made a reservation, but I had to wait 5-10 minutes to get a seat guide. Some of the water glasses that were prepared at the place where they were guided were dirty and asked to be changed. The drink came out quickly, but it took about 45 minutes for the shareables to come out and the main food came out. I was able to check the time it took for the food to come out with the time I took the photo because it wasn't too much. Also, when the adult was almost finished eating the main dish, the french fries ordered from the kids menu came out. However, the food was delicious overall, and the overall atmosphere was very good. I would recommend this restaurant if it doesn't matter if the food comes out late.

I’ve frequented Stanley and Seafort’s over the years and I do believe that they used to be a 5 star restaurant. The service is fantastic and the view is always amazing. But, it seems as if the quality of food has gone down. When ordering a steak for more than 60 dollars it should have good flavor and be cooked specifically to the order. Unfortunately mine was extremely chewy and over cooked whilst lacking flavor. The calamari also seemed as if it was more breading than meat. Other than that, the drinks and service were absolutely phenomenal.

Stanley and Seafort's is an institution in Tacoma. If you want to step back into time a few decades to see a great view, lots of dark wood, and marble, come here. I got a bowl of lobster bisque to start and a 16oz prime rib to finish me off. The bisque was excellent. Creamy, tangy, and thick. The will say my dinner arrived a few minutes early, in my opinion. But, damn, was it great. The herbs stick with the beef, no matter where you are munching. Thankfully, it's not overly salty. The potatoes are lovely but the cream kale? It was OK, if a little odd. Come here for the food and the excellent service.

We went here for the first time last night for my birthday. The food was so delicious! I was not disappointed. The drink quality wasn't there for the price though, but the service and food was amazing. Best clam chowder and prime I've ever had. The view was nice. Perfect date night spot.

Service was great. Food was good. The dining room was way too cramped. I had to squeeze into my chair to sit down due to the table behind us being set so close. I'm a slim guy at 6'4" and 190 lbs. Noisy atmosphere due to too many people crammed into the space. Wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a calm and quiet and spacious environment.

My husband and I had a reservation here on 3/7/22 at 530. We got there a little early and we’re seated almost right away. The staff was phenomenal and just absolutely amazing. It was our 2 year anniversary and we wanted to try something new. The food was INCREDIBLE!! It was savory and full of flavor and we were so impressed. If I could rave more I would. This place and the view was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was romantic and we had a wonderful time!! Thank you!! The prime rib, is drool worthy and worth every penny! Just thinking about it make my mouth water. The seafood was absolutely divine! I also got the ultimate lemon drop and have never had one as good as the one here! Thank you for such an amazing time and for helping us have a wonderful 2 year anniversary. Tiffany was our waitress and was incredible!! I don’t remember the hostess’s name but she was so friendly and on point with seating! Y’all are amazing!!

The first thing you have to note is the incredible view! The staff was friendly and even accommodated our schedule as we had to fly out rather quickly. Thank you Ben! The decor and inside seemed a little dated but didn’t take away from the experience. It was well maintained. The food and drink were excellent.

Decent restaurant and ambiance. However they do need their chefs to taste everything before it hits the pass. And the sous chef should also ensure quality because both of the garnishes on my prime rib were sub par. No salt even at all. However the beef appetizer was WAY too salty. I’m not sure if anyone even makes sure that the quality meets expectations. I like the ambiance but most likely won’t be returning and I think Tillman would regret purchasing this restaurant.

Great service! The hostess last night was so kind and amazing and she had great energy, I believe that her name was Cher. Told her that we were there for a dinner party for my brother and she knew exactly where to take us. We had a long table in the center of one of the dining rooms and ended up meeting two additional tables because we had so many guests share in the staff quickly made a few other tables available to us and I got one with a view. We ordered within 5 to 10 minutes of being there but it did take 30+ minutes for the food. They finally come out but that makes sense on a busy Saturday night. The view is amazing. Food web is definitely a seven out of 10. Restaurant environment decor gives fine dining energy. The view is what makes this place. Kinda reminds of a restaurant from the movie “Scarface,” don’t ask me why unless you’re going to check it out for yourself to get it. We had fish and chips $20 and ceasar salad $18 , expect to pay about $20-30 per person. Easy to find. Great staff.

Made a reservation online & the table was ready immediately upon arrival. The ambiance and views of the city here are stunning, the food was seriously next level delicious, and our server clearly cared about us having a good experience (thank you, Toni!!) she was personable and helpful with our questions and made sure the food arrived promptly and drinks kept full. Perfect job! My friends and I got a TON of food to really sample the menu and everything was amazing! The specialty cocktails, variety of scrumptious appetizers, the scallops I had for dinner, our crème brûlée dessert.. it was all fabulous! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Seattle!

Took us nearly 2 hours to get our food, but it was Mother’s Day and the University of Puget Sound graduation today, and the staff was amazing. Big shout out to our waitress, she was the best!!!

Was taken here for mother's day by surprise. What a lovely day. Stanleys was busy. With reservations the wait for our food was long. But Dennis our awesome waiter was swamped but attentive. I think I need to frequent here a lil bit more. So much I want to try on the menu. Customer Service from everyone was superb 👌. Thanks for a pleasant evening.

My Husband and I had been recommended here for our two year anniversary and I was so very glad we had went. Setting up the reservation for the 1st was simple and easy, we did it through the online site. It was easy to navigate and had perfect times. There was almost no parking when we arrive for our reservation, but luckily got a spot in the back row. We were graciously accepted even 5 minutes past our reserved time and seated within ten minutes. Our Server, Lilly, was amazing. She was very kind and most excellent in helping make decisions on food and drink items. We went ahead and had some classic mix drinks while also sampling the balvenie Scotch 12 year doublewood, which was absolutely amazing in scent and flavor, smoothest scotch we ever had. We had both gone with seafood for our choice of meal, and had the country fried Calamari for our appetizer, which was beautifully fried with a perfect crunch and the sauces had great complimentary flavor. While my husband was addiment on the beer batter fish and chips, which had a golden brown crust and fresh homemade tartar to go with it. I myself had gone with the Alaskan Halibut with mashed Turnip and Celery root puree and a sour apple garnish. I was a little hesitant at first as I don't like celery and I've never had Turnip, but it was probably one of the most exquisite fish dishes I've ever tasted. Everything paired wonderfully on the plate, I was temped to lick it clean. I wish I could get the recipe, but im sure its a guarded secret. After being stuffed with the Entres, we took the chance and rolled the dice with dessert, and it was well worth being over full. He had the NY style Cheese cake and I got the Lava cake. Again, the fun little garnishes and coulis were the perfect pair to the main dessert and would have 100 times again before I could possible get sick of it. All the items were so amazing that we each provided a sample from one another, and were brightly amazed by the quality of everything. It was even a beautiful view out the window and into the kitchen. You guys made it a spectacular night and we hope to dine with you again soon.

FAKE scallops. This dish was also described to have asparagus. We asked where it was. Squint really hard you can see a couple stem pieces.. yum 🙄. Soggy peppers as well. The salad was so salty and had too much dressing, that was sent back. The potatoes were luke warm. The onion soup was ok. We were not checked on and had to get up and ask for water.. we requested a pitcher, so she brought extra glasses knowing she would not be checking on us again. Great service for such a hefty bill. This was a birthday present to my husband going out and not having kids with us.. great present 😔 Overall very underwhelming. We expected more. Just an overpriced spot by the water... I'd rather have a picnic on the beach

Stanley’s has been my go to happy hour in Tacoma for years. The service has always been impeccable, the happy hour prices amazing, and the appetizers wonderful. I like the new small plate options for happy hour, easier to try multiple menu items and just the right size to share with a friend. If visiting from out of town this is an off the main touristy area but with an amazing view over the city. Make sure you find this hidden gem, you won’t be disappointed.

Celebrated my grandson's 23rd birthday last night. Our waitress Elizabeth was very courteous and attentive to our needs. The food, by everyone's account was delicious and filling, I had the grilled Mahimahi with avocado salsa, they did run out of the strawberry shortcake and for that only 4 stars. Of course the view of Tacoma and the Port was something to remember. I would highly recommend to anyone to come and try it and see for yourself.

Burger was burnt. Seafood trio was good. Server didn’t check on us for our whole 2.5 hour stay. Also, what is this “living wage” consumers must pay? Isn’t the COMPANY supposed to pay that to the workers instead of pushing it off for the consumers to pay? It’s enough that this place is way overpriced, we pay the tax PLUS tip. Now we must pay your worker’s wages?? Ridiculous.

It was our first time here. Hostess very friendly. Our server, Bernie, did not check on us, my husband had to flag someone else to get his water refilled. I had the Mahi Mahi, not much flavor. My husband had the steelhead which tasted real good. Did not enjoy the vegetables and I would have liked the option of potatoes instead of rice. Portion of entrees pretty small. Poor selection of appetizers and salads. Had to wait too long to get our check.

What a nice little getaway in Tacoma with a view to the city! My husband and I went for our first date night after 3 years, and we absolutely loved it! The food was good and the price was right. The service was good, too! Let's just say we will be back. If you don't feel like spending an arm and a leg (such as El Gaucho), I think this restaurant should fit your needs just fine.

Open for Thanksgiving, but it was very busy. Even with a reservation it felt like the restaurant was overbooked. The staff was friendly, but appeared overwhelmed. For the holiday, a 3 course meal was offered. Each course had a wide selection of options including gluten free. I had the Caesar Salad without croutons, Seafood Trio (salmon, shrimp, and scallops), Creme Brulee, and a Dragon Fizz Mocktail. I would be willing to try this spot again in the future to see if the food was better on a night that was not so busy. I would not come back on a holiday though. The salad seemed slimy while the main entree was cold and overcooked/burnt. The dessert and mocktail were really good though. Indoor seating available. Highly recommend a reservation. Parking available onsite or across the street.

Staff went out of their way to provide a party of 11 for a rehearsal dinner on Father's day the perfect celebration, started with mixed appetizers, most had fish and chips or pasta. Perfect night! Thank you

This place is really an epicenter for Tacomas cross section of top spendin foodies. Its so cool that on this visit, while we waited to be seated, a black woman who was off duty law enforcement and Songwriter recording artist, shared her amazing music links. At the table The Employees gave us alot of time between items, its like they were watching us. 🤣🤣 Bring the Benjis and a " talk about the real" attitude, because everybody else is talkin laws and policy too. Visit was Dinner service March 29 2023.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by a charming hostess who wished our brother a happy birthday and then seated us promptly our evening culinary adventure was lovely. Our waitress, Tiffany , guided us through the menu and ordering process with genuine care. Offering wonderful suggestions and even going the extra step to provide our youngest (4 years ) with an appropriate glass with a cover. Our food was served in a timely manner and was delicious. Try the prime rib and the lobster tail ….. you’ll love it !

It's an expensive chain steak place with a good view. I personally find the $50 minimum per plate a bit much, but if you're trying to impress someone with a first date or having a business dinner then it's a good choice. Wine selection seems to have a $3-$5 mark up on the bottles, but the selection itself was not bad. The steak and seafood was correctly cooked and flavorful if not a bit rich, so people with acid reflux beware. Overall I'd give it a 6/10, not because it's bad or anything, just not my kind of place.

In town (Olympia, WA) on a travel nurse assignment. I had a Landry’s Birthday Reward expiring that day (03/15/22), & decided to take the drive. I did a pick up prior to my night shift instead of letting the reward go to waste. I ordered the Tasting Sampler & what I was told was their last piece of bourbon pecan pie. What I received was truly exquisite. I can’t remember the last time I had beef so tender. The 3 fried shrimp were tasty, but that dipping sauce was AMAZING. I didn’t really care for the pie too much, it had this weird bitter aftertaste. Unfortunately, looking back at the menu to write this review, I realized I hadn’t received everything that should have come w/ the sampler. I didn’t receive the crab & artichoke dip, nor the shrimp & grits. Wasn’t sure if the 3 pieces of shrimp w/ dipping sauce were a replacement. Since I had the following night off (03/16/22), I decided to call to see what could be done to correct the error. I was lucky enough to get the hostess that took my initial phone order, and she remembered me. I was told she would pass my concerns over to the manager, and they would return my call in a timely manner. I never heard from anyone. To wrap things up, I will still give 3 stars because the beef and shrimp w/ it’s dipping sauce were THAT good. They lost a star for the missing item(s), and another for not following up with a customer’s concern. All and all, whether dining in or taking out, it would be nice to “sample” everything that should come with the Tasting Sampler. Family will be visiting me soon, and I have been scouting places to recommend during their visit. I am on the fence about this establishment. 1st impressions matter.

We made a reservation and we’re seated quite fast. Food did take awhile but everything was very good. The steaks weren’t the greatest I’d give them 3/5. Overall, it was a good time. The view is pretty neat. I’d definitely recommend this place to people.
