This is the pizza you travel 1000 miles for. Take a secret flight without telling your family you're in town so you can eat your slice in peace. I Dripped oil on my white shirt and I'm wearing it as a badge of honor. The cheese is perfect, Sauce is perfect, the dough was kneaded by the angels in heaven and it was all delivered to us by Domenick and Pia. The state of Connecticut should make this restaurant a historical landmark, put it on the national register of historic places. The smell alone is enough to make you salivate. I'm always ecstatic when I see Pia and her son. This place will set the bar high for every pizza you will ever have from this point on. Also, somehow these pizza wizards have managed to keep the prices more than reasonable for decades.

It's a no frills pizza joint with great pizza. They only have pizza and grinders which is why I think it's ts so good. It allows them to focus on making great pizza.

They make their pizzas hot and fresh. Perfect for a takeout/pick up order. This place is great when you just want that NY style type of pizza. Also good place when you want to just buy a slice or two. The gentleman working there is very friendly.

Great first bite, delicious sauce with a decent amount and the cook to it tasted like the best of New Haven. Excellent crunch in the crust with some good char flavor. One of the top 3 best slices I’ve had anywhere. In and out quick and they’re pretty busy, no reheat needed on their slice pies. Mama Pia bagged this up for me, a very sweet old lady and the girl working the counter was friendly as well. She asked when I ordered if these slices looked too well done and I said no - but it’s nice they ask. The cook to it was fantastic. Well worth the visit!

The pizza is the best around but they are the SLOWEST service. No urgency to move quickly. You think after all these years they’d have a better system, especially around lunchtime when there’s ALWAYS a line and they move in reverse. Christ, have a few pies ready to go for slices, they’d do a ton more business and move people through quickly. If the pizza wasn’t so good I’d never come here again. I’m waiting on line right now and they’re moving like snails.

Best pizza I have had in central CT, real NYC style pizza and garlic knots. Reasonably priced. Love this place!

I’ve been going to Dominick & Pia’s since I was a little girl. They have the BEST pizza in town. They are the only reason why I visit downtown Waterbury. I look forward to seeing Dominick and Pia when I go there. They are still there working hard along with their son David. God Bless!

Excellent pizza, no complaints but during covid I think they could be a little bit safer and wear gloves, but I get it definitely recommend it nice people an excellent pizza again!!

Dominick and Pia served a hot, fresh, and full of vegetable pizza. It was delivered hot and fresh from the oven to our table. A mouthwatering onion, mushroom, tomatoes, broccoli, and green and red pepper, and olives. The best pizza in the city of Waterbury!!! Connecticut. Kudos to the great pizza tradition.

This is truly a family favorite. We've grown up with this very popular pizza restaurant. The family owned business has been in business for a very long time. The food is absolutely wonderful, staff are always very courteous. Highly recommended

Used to be best pizza in CT (IMO).. perfect balance of cheese, sauce, crust... All with great flavor. Sauce and crust still amazing. Unfortunately a little too much cheese and slightly greasy. They might have changed brands of cheese. Still great value as the cost of a pie or a slice is still one of the lowest in the state.

Family owned and great service. Loved the vibe inside. Pizza was fantastic! Definitely recommend for a quick slice or pie.

New to the Naugatuck area and looking for a great pizza spot, born and raised in New Haven, i was spoiled by the pizza spots, but i have to say, your pizza rival's those places. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best pizza in the state! Started coming here when I was in high school! My friends and I would stop in for a slice and a coke, cost all of $.35! I am now 67 years old and I still go there for my pizza! I can't say enough about the pizza and the owners! Awesome! 🍕🥤

Wow, what a let down! I heard so many good things about D&Ps and no clue what people are talking about. The pizza was average at best. I've had far better. The pepperoni was floppy and greasy, but the cheese was better. Again, I honestly don't know what all the hype is about. Finally, the service is painfully slow. Doubt I'll be back.

Wow! Just Wow! 90+ year old couple own and operate this small pizzeria for 58 years (with some help) Pizza is fantastic. I'm visiting from out of town and some locals recommended this place. So glad they did.

I am from the Chicagoland area visiting, asked my friends and family who has great pizza in the Waterbury area, they all said Domenick and Pia. And it was delicious, OMG!!! INCREDIBLE PIZZA!!!!!

I'm from out of town but a friend brought me here to try it based on price and based on taste. I can only say that there was a constant waiting line. I think you would be wise to order ahead. The price is very descent and the taste is good for its price. Someone spilled their drink and the owner without hesitation told the customer not to worry, replaced the drink free of charge and mopped the floor himself without hesitation. The older man also knew people by name so it was pretty cool to see. Not many places have this. Good customer service. Yes...I recommend this place for pizza on the go. For the price you won't be disappointed.

Awesome pizza. Been having it since I was a kid and I'm almost turning 30. My mom swears by this pizza, she says there's no other like it. I really like it alot and the people working there are nice and helpful.

I loved this place and come here regularly but I don't know what is going on lately but for the last few weeks even today I went for slices and everything has been burnt and way over cooked I have voiced my concerns to manager every time and most times another pie that is not so burnt is made but today was told they wont be making anymore until the burnt ones are sold it was 4 other people behind me and we all left this is getting terrible get it together or you will be losing a lot of valuable customers

Always was , always is and always will be the best damn pizza outside of the city. If you don't feel a sense of pride everytime you bite into a slice, your in the wrong place.
