    I’m afraid it took 3 visits to get tracking and balancing correct when I had new tyres fitted No quick fix offered a total of 6 extra hours of my time wasted On phoning their customer service from their reply to this complaint I was told I would receive a part refund and even that hasn’t been forthcoming.

    Was called to say my mot and service needs to be cancelled on the same day I was booked in . Won’t be using them ever again… avoid at all costs! management seem to be a bunch of clowns.

    George in Halfords auto centre, shirley has helped enormously with the ongoing car battery issue with my Mercedes. I have had this issue for the past 9 months and has helped me every single time. He is an absolutely brilliant help and i would highly recommend this branch for any of your car troubles! Thanks again George for all your help, very much appreciated.

    Had a booking booked from 8th May for mot and service. On the actual day, arrived early to be told can’t do service. Which is fine as unexpected situations happen. Was told mot not booked for 10 although text stating otherwise. Was then told to come back at 12, as the main guy has decided to start late today (no mention of handing keys over just to come back at 12) went back at 12 to be told can’t be seen today. Complete waste of time. To be fairly honest soon as I walked in I knew the gents were in no mood to do my car although booked two weeks in advance. Highly recommend if you’d like couple hours wasted 5* if that’s what you’re looking for.

    Went today to get my 2 front tyres changed, took them nearly 3 hours to change them after telling them I needed to get back for my children. I requested they called me when it was completed, but no call. Will NEVER use this place again.

    I had a full service here and I can't fault it, booking was fairly near when I booked it, the work was done in good time and the staff were all excellent. Would definitely use them again!

    My car was booked in for11:20 but hasn’t been seen until 2pm. Bad customer service too as one person couldn’t give me any information on how long it might take or NHS discount. I am not having my MOT done with Halfords!! Will spread the word too!

    Option to book nearest centre for brake fluid change paid up front online, called on the morning to be told we don’t do that here!!!! Will refund your money in5-7 days! Called customer services who actually recommended KWIK FIT, what a joke

    Big thank you to the staff whoever attended me today. I was so upset with halfords in Stratford road (former National tyres) after booking for wipers change. I had a really bad experience with that halfords ( clearly staff there was upset with halfords takeover) and came to retail park to fix my wipers. He listened me so patiently and fixed my wipers without any charges. BIG THANK YOU 🙏

    DO NOT GO ALONE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN! They see you coming and take advantage. Had to take my car there twice, problems were not picked up, they could not of been looking at my car at all. They asked me to bring it back for the third time, I will not be doing this and will have to go elsewhere.

    Went to Halfords 20 minutes before they closed as I had a headlight bulb out and needed it replaced. Was not expecting to get it fitted due to the time but Zak fitted it for me. What an obliging young man and very thorough. A credit to Halfords.

    Who ever was there on till on 15th July 2023, morning 8.30 am was very rude. He cancelled service booking saying its shirt staffed, which is understandable. But the way person talks is very rude and aggressive. He also spoke very rude to a lady who said I have a kid to look after and hence cannot change dates. @halfords please keep polite and professional staff on your till.

    We booked a service slot online for Saturday, when arriving was told two staff not showed up for work and turned me away, seemed like a common problem on the weekend yet they still take full bookings, don't agree with that policy, if you know staff are not coming in you shouldn't fully book, thanks for wasting my Saturday morning! Be aware

    The below review was 10 months ago. I had to get some work done on my car and the customer service was really good. The work carried out was really good and the best price compared to other quotes I was given. Absolutely poor service here. Didn't even get a chance to walk in to enquire about tyres. Got turned away because apparently they were too busy. This being while 2 of the staff were just chatting away

    Very rood costumer service. I went to reception, but I was kicked out because I was not insured as person to enter building. I showed car part , what needed to be fixed, but this gentleman looked at me like I was from another planet. He did not even knew what it was and how to fix it. This is the worst and unwelcome garage I have wisited in my life.

    Overheard a mechanic explain to someone that their xenon headlight bulb uses like 82,000 volts compared to a standard halogen bulb, obviously has no idea what he's talking about and was trying to upsell a clueless customer. Very unprofessional and shows who they employ. Stay away unless you want to be lied to!

    Excellent speedy service offered when took car into Mot. Great booking system helps to ensure you have an alloted time and no unnecessary waiting around for hours for car to be ready. Staff were friendly and informative and car was finished a lot sooner then estimated time

    Quick service. Efficient and no dramas. Management should note that they are understaffed and need more mechanics / reception staff to help (really obvious from my observation). Kay was the man who sorted my car out so he gets a special mention. If it wasn’t for the extra hard work by these lads the site would probably getting lots of 1stars.

    So far reliable, but expensive/pricey. They also have the extremely annoying habit of recommending quite expensive jobs they performed but two months ago. I don't think they're trying to rip us off, their system is just incompetent.

    The car went in for a service and MOT. As requested when we left it, the work was completed in extra quick time due to personal circumstances. It was suggested that we would benefit from taking their special offer of an Engine Oil Flush, which we agreed to. As a result, the improvement in acceleration and smoothness is amazing. Would definitely recommend it. This is the third time that I have used Shirley Autocentre in the last few months and on each occasion I have received excellent guidance and service. The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and can be sure of my business in the durure.

    It was my first time getting my car MOT'd and serviced at Halfords and I have to say I was really pleased with the whole process. It was easy to book online, I got a reminder text the day before and the invoice with the advisories was emailed to me as soon as the car was ready. The online tracker thing was useful too. I particularly thought the customer service was very good, I felt they went above and beyond to help me with an issue with my car. Overall, 5 stars Halfords.

    Despite puncture repairs tyre still has leak...on trying to call them back on phone there is 45 min plus wait since this week and then the call gets dropped. On calling Halfords General number after half an hour a gentleman picks up who says he will 'inform' the Halford local branch manager to call me back but no calls yet since 3 days. Very disappointed in general otherwise they are very professional and helpful as a team.
