I am 2 nights into a 4 night stay at the delta by Marriott hotel Waltham abbey. My room was nice and warm and bed comfy. I found the hotel to have nice grounds and overall experience is as expected. I learned that the fish and chips they serve is in a Beer Batter. I have not had fish and chips this way before and did not know that I needed to request this to be made in a normal batter. This was at no point been mentioned when I asked on them catering for halal dietary requirements. The staff advised that their chicken is Halal. There is no way to confirm their halal chicken is 100% halal as many companies accept stunned chicken as halal, however I chose to not have their chicken. I think that in a multicultural country Marriott should cater for guests who eat halal food in their hotels and have more than a limited option for vegetarians in their dinner menus. Their breakfast is very tasty and there are plenty of options whether you are into continental or a cooked option. For any one that has a dietary requirement for halal food and only eats halal there are not many options. If anyone likes fish and chips I would recommend you advise them at point of order to make this is a normal batter.

I didn't stay overnight, but went to a conference. The food (we were offered a buffet) had a great selection and plenty of it. Tasted fine. All the staff seemed nice and friendly. The carpark was free, large and easy to park, but don't forget to put your reg plate into the system else you get a ticket! Modern environment with a bar in reception. Not my favourite beers there but a good selection.

We had a lovely warm welcome from the reception staff. A very nice entrance to the hotel, the seating, bar area looked very grand on arrival. We came back from seeing friends, we were feeling hungry so we ordered in room service, nice food but wow, the charge for having room service was extremely expensive. The following morning we had breakfast which was lovely. Food topped up, smiles on staff faces and a lovely Sunday vibe. At 12 we went to use the pool, oh I did love the pool, hardly anyone there, so nice and quiet and the temperature of the water was lovely. A lovely, relaxing, peaceful weekend.

Excellent service, restaurant staff kindly accommodated late breakfast for family of 6. Rooms are dated but are clean. No lifts so if you struggle with stairs will need ground floor room. Has large reception area for meetings and lunch. Good price for the stay and breakfast is very good.

Rooms are spacious, well furnished and fully decked out. My room had a TV with a good range of channels, a kettle and various teabags/coffee, iron and ironing board, plenty of towels and essential toiletries. Heating is adjustable from within the room. The in-house restaurant serves an excellent range of breakfast and dinner options. There is also a 24 hour 'grab and go' shop by the reception area, and a 24 hour gym. Staff are professional and helpful.

We spent the night here, I was very impressed with my stay at the Marriott. The room was very clean and spacious, it could have done with a couple of extra plug sockets & the shower pressure was a little weak but that's literally the only negatives I have against this hotel. The surrounding area is quiet and as long as you register your car when you arrive the parking fee is very reasonable. The beds are comfortable and the room had all the amenities you'd expect. Breakfast was really nice with a nice variety of hot & cold foods, fresh juices, hot drinks along with staff on call if you needed any assistance.

Quite a few faults with this hotel. No complimentary water and no fridge inside the hotel room. I was forced to pay £2.50 for a can of water, I felt robbed by the hotel as a result. All other hotels I've stayed at including cheaper firms have always given complimentary water and a mini fridge at the very least! The air conditioning in our room was also broken and need regassing as it was blowing out warm air. The hotel room itself seemed dated and could do with a refurb. No free parking either, we parked for free opposite the hotel on the freeroad and would recommend everyone else doing the same! Considering I paid over £100 a night to stay here, these are basic requirements to fulfil and therefore wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here until they improve on the above basic requirements and expectations. One thing I can't fault is the customer service, all staff were happy and friendly.

Really lovely welcoming hotel, staff were so nice and made me feel at ease when travelling alone. The restaurant could do with a few more options for dinner and maybe opening up the buffet would be a nice idea to staying guests instead of just groups. Only thing I would say is the pool and facilities are in need of a refresh compared to the rest of the modern hotel as it was a shame the jacuzzi wasn’t working.
