I went here for my birthday celebration with my husband 14th January 2022. We were greeted by a lovely chap we believe to be the manager (Liam I think) and he showed us to our seat. We were served by a really friendly waitress named Liv and she was extremely helpful and polite. The presentation was absolutely beautiful, we ordered starters and mains. For starters we had delicious Calamari, halloumi and goats cheese and all dishes were presented to perfection. We ordered Steak for our main and I even requested a cheeky fried egg on the side which the chef happily arranged. The food was delicious and bursting with flavour, I would definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant to everyone! They also surprised me with a complimentary birthday dessert! It was the best brownie I have ever tasted. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, can't wait to re attend! :-)

Restaurant located on Winchmore Hill green, near the train station. Nice decor and ambience with lots of soft furnishings and fabrics which really helps to reduce noise. The tables weren't jammed together, again a nice touch. The service was only ok - we had to wait a long time for our starters (admittedly we were a large group BUT we had pre-ordered several weeks in advance. The food was overall ok, some dishes excellent and others average. I really enjoyed the brie tart starter but was disappointed with the sea bass main as it was a bit dry and a bit thin. A nice local. I will be back to try other dishes!

A couple of friends suggested this restaurant. Happy they did. Lovely place in a lovely area! We had a Sunday lunch and we really enjoyed it. It was busy, so I suggest to book, but we didn't wait long to be served. We wanted to go for the 3 course but after the starters and the main (we had the Sunday beef roast) we were stuffed so we sadly had to skip the dessert. Perhaps the roast could have been better presented but all the food was lovely. I strongly suggest the goats cheese bon bon, they were definitely our favorites. Super friendly staff, always there to help. Definitely a pleasant lunch.

Group Xmas meal and it was lovely. Excellent customer service for such a big group. Menu had a variety of dishes and everyone enjoyed their meal. Will definitely go there again. Parking on nearby streets.

Came here for a dinner on a Friday evening, we hadn't booked in advance but thankfully we were seated. I really enjoyed my experience here, the food was very well presented and prepared. We had an attentive waitress who asked whether we were ok or needed anything extra etc. I cannot complain about my experience on this occasion. I paid just under £100 for the two of us, so it wasn't a cheap experience, but as a one off its a price I guess I would be willing to pay again

Such a lovely restaurant. We booked the private room in the back and were so very well looked after by the team here. Food was fantastic and service was amazing so big thanks to Alex who helped with everything

This restaurant is absolutely one of the finest restaurants in the region. Always when I come there I am absolutely glad. They hold their very high standard service and the highest level of meals they serve. You surely will enjoy this this place. Very recommended.

Visited Buckle and Vaughn on numerous occasions now and I absolutely love it! The food is beautifully presented and tastes even better! The staff are friendly, courteous and always happy to help, no matter the request! We have been for quiet weekday lunches as well as larger evening functions with work and each and every time the menu on offer is incredible (highly recommend the goats cheese) and the pricing is very reasonable! The cocktails are in a league of their own (mock tails are just as good) and I cannot recommend it highly enough! If you haven’t tried it yet please do! You most certainly will not be disappointed!

We hosted my granddaughters christening here there were 30 adults & 4 children The service..the staff & the food were all amazing We had a set menu 3 choices of starter,main & desert. Everyone loved their food it was presented fantastically & tasted devine. Alex our host was very attentive & helpful I would highly recommend anyone to eat here at least once but I guarantee it will be more than once Absolutely excellent 👏 👌

We visited this local favourite which has just been refurbished and rebranded as Carlos @ B&V, opening last Thursday. It has a new menu and the food is better than ever, service (which had a few wobbles post COVID) is attentive and back to its best and the new decor is even smarter than before. The starter menu remains seafood heavy, I enjoyed the octopus in a garlicky sauce (but only realised after ours did not come with the advertised lentils and chorizo, but good anyway). My fellow diners were impressed with the size of the giant prawns. My main was the veal chop with sage and butter which was an excellent piece of meat perfectly cooked. For dessert the apple strudel was outstanding. I look forward to returning and trying some different menu choices as this is all exceptional cooking. A word about wines. White wine by the glass was OK, and there is a good range of wines by the bottle going up to some quite fancy wines and fancy prices. My one gripe is if you are offering wines at £50 a bottle and upwards you really should be stating the vintages you are offering to help an informed choice. The bottle of Saint Emilion I ordered turned out to be from the excellent 2016 vintage and was a brilliant wine for its £50 restaurant price. I would hope they once again offer some dessert wines by the glass in the future. Atmosphere was buzzing on a busy Saturday night with a laid back modern dance sound track not too intrusive (but I would not have wanted it any louder). There is a new website and this Googlemaps listing needs updating (in the mean time google Carlos @B&V if you need to find it). The Quandoo booking link from Googlemaps still works.

My wife and I went here for Sunday brunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a 3 month with a pushchair so they gave us a table with more space around it for the pushchair. The service was good with wait staff asking for drinks and taking our order. The chicken roast was very tasty as was the mushroom vol au vent. They do 2 courses for £25 or 3 courses for £30 which is worth it. There is also outdoor seating available which is nice if the weather is good, although they have a marquee but we sat inside Would totally recommend and go there again.

Been meaning to get out for dinner to B&V for ages and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent. The menu looked a little on the expensive side but the portion sizes justified the cost and more importantly was the quality of the food. Everything was cooked to perfection - starters and mains. Can't wait to get back and sample the other dishes.

What truly sets Buckle and Vaughan apart is their impeccable service. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, ready to cater to your every need and provide recommendations to enhance your dining experience. We would definitely recommend because of their exceptional cuisine, and top-notch service, it's a dining experience that's sure to leave a lasting impression.

We have visited this lovely restaurant many times since opening & are so happy that it now has a very varied menu unlike under previous ownership. The food was wonderful & have already booked to re-visit!!

Not having booked for dinner, we were allocated a table for 2 by Chris immediately time 7ish on Friday 2nd February, mains sea bass, delicious and plenty of it. Surprise Magician very entaining good fun finished the evening with brilliant cocktail. Service/attention brilliant 👏 👌

I celebrated my 50th birthday in the private room at the rear of the restaurant. I had a wonderful evening and was made to feel very special. There were 18 of us. The food was lovely with good sized portions. The service was warm and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The drinks/cocktails were delicious with lots to choose from. All in all, I highly recommend Buckle and Vaughan.

I’m my opinion, this is by far the best restaurant in Winchmore Hill and surrounding areas. Every time we go there, we are greeted as friends by Alex the manager, his lovely wife Ina and all the staff. Since opening after being refurbished this summer the restaurant looks great, food is consistently delicious as before, using quality ingredients and with a superb wine list. I particularly recommend a glass of the Thienot champagne, which is reasonably priced and delicious. We had an outside table for dinner on a very warm evening to celebrate my birthday, it was wonderful!

A bit disappointed to be honest. Food was ok but staff were not interested in their customers. I had to repeat drink orders a number of times, and go to the bar to the bar a number of times to ask again for drinks whilst the waiting staff were socialising. There were 8 people and some of our table had turned up late which did not help, but one of the chefs nodded his head in disapproval more than once which made me feel uncomfortable and to be fair I should have said something. Then only seven meals turn up and the missing one was for the person who has a 60th birthday. Not sure if he is the owner but it looked and felt like their is no leadership or desire to be a great restaurant. They did not charge for the dish that turned up late and gave 3 deserts as complimentary. ( I did not ask for this) no one made an effort and that’s why things failed. Deep down they know this and hopefully my review will help with the changes that are needed.

Beautiful roast dinner , missed out on cauliflower cheese, it’s a must . Besides that 🤣 food , atmosphere , staff was amazing 👌🏻

Lovely Christmas lunch with colleagues. I selected the Christmas dishes and was very happy with the food. Modern presentation on prawn cocktail. Very nice. Traditional turkey dinner well presented tasty and delicious. (Roast potatoes slightly undercooked) Christmas pudding was very nice. The Custard was warm (could have been hotter)

Came in for dinner on Friday night. Staff are fantastic, food is fantastic especially the lamb skewers. Liam the manager is great and nothing is to much trouble. Thanks for a great evening.

Chose this place via Google review and I was not disappointed. Conveniently located near the station, was really easy to find. The staff here were friendly and very attentive, really felt like a valued customer although it was our first visit. The menu was simple but the food is done very well, presentation and taste exceeded our expectations. What made this place stand out for me, was the service, it was exceptional and I will definitely come back and bring others with me whne I do.

My husband and I held our wedding reception dinner at Buckle and Vaughan for our 75 guests. The team were great, food was delicious and service was perfect. They really looked after us and helped make our day stress free and really enjoyable. Our guests loved the welcome drinks, the meal and the set up of the restaurant.

Popped in with my partner for a small bite to eat and a few drinks. Staff were very welcoming, Florence the bartender made a delightful espresso martini. Decor is nice and suits the location well. Liam the manager accommodated the two of us and was very pleasant ensuring everything was right with our food and drinks. Will visit again.

The set menu was good value for money. Welcoming staff , right from the start, and were very accommodating and friendly . We had a little hiccup with our dessert but was sorted immediately. I will definitely try this place again and get in a more in-depth review about it
