DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOUR A TRADESMAN!! Vans get robbed regularly mine was robbed last night 18th September 2023 and it wouldn’t surprise me if the night staff weren’t in on it. Said they saw something going on before 11pm but didn’t know who’s van it was. We’ve lost a small fortune and it prevents us from working now. The police have no interest in this type of crime I spoke with them twice about this. Travel lodge have staff at the desk with cctv monitoring the carpark and still the don’t phone the police and they done let anyone know you’ve been robbed. The great city of london my corn hole.they also said they couldn’t make out the registration on the cctv ( but they can get you on the parking app camera if you don’t register you vehicle) this need looking into it’s a cash cow for the local criminals and there families who I believe may work there !!

Great hotel from well known chain. Comfy bed, and clean. Chap on the counter polite and helpful and gave me extra tea bags and milk Only downsides are far away from tube but a pleasant walk of dry. Also pathway outside completely caked on bird poo, otherwise excellent.

Check in was OK but initially I was told I would need to pay extra for breakfast even though I knew it was paid for. I had to show them the invoice they handed to me which itemised the breakfast was paid for. The breakfast in a box is horrendous, don't even bother with it. The WiFi was intermittent but generally OK. The room was fine but no sockets near the bed for charging and very poor water pressure in the shower. There was some kind of service van which turned up at 2300 pm and spent 35 minutes dragging, banging and loading things loudly whilst chatting very loudly about his sexual conquests to someone at the side of the hotel. There is a decent pub right next door which is the only chance of a meal except takeaway. 20 - 25 mins walk to the nearest rail station.

Booked a family room here a few weeks ago. Just what we needed after a long day travelling the room was very spacious. Had to lose a point because the bathroom had a disgusting smell, we were all too tired to change rooms or even mention this. It was ok if the bathroom door was shut. I will definitely stay here again as its location is perfect for us and will most definitely inform staff if the nasty smell is still about.

We arrived for a stay over Christmas. From first arriving we found the staff very helpful as all the staff were for the entire stay. The room was very clean and was what we required for our stay. The bonus was a Public House with a restaurant attached. We will be staying again.

Standard room was good value for money, the service provided by the staff was exceptional though

Great hotel. Saw the reviews but it was the only one near where I wanted to be so booked anyway. Super friendly staff who honestly couldn’t do enough. Breakfast is a box on the go and I wouldn’t buy it again so just take some stuff or source breakfast elsewhere? The pub is right next door and is great. Lovely selection of food and outdoor dining at front or back. If I am going back to Loughton, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again given the friendliness. Bed linen crisp and clean, plenty of good pillows and ace shower. TV worked too! All in all a good experience. Yes it’s a dated hotel but for getting a good sleep whilst travelling, it’s ticks all the boxes!

I Stayed here and the room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. When I had left the hotel I realised I had left my engagement ring on the bedside cabinet. The team at travelodge were very kind and helpful and had put my ring in a safe place until I came back to collect it. Special thanks to the cleaner for her honesty, handing it in and the member of staff Tasneem for keeping it safe for me until I came back to collect it. Very kind & trustworthy team that provided a great service. ❤️

This is our second visit to Travelodge in Chigwell. Both times have been very pleasant, the rooms are spacious and clean. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, the atmosphere is perfect. Receptionist Kasia is very friendly and welcoming and is always ready to help with any issues. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Stayed here because it much was cheaper than Snaresbrook. Just as good, cheap and cheerful. Pub next door is well worth trying.

Kasia and her team are incredibly helpful and friendly. Dinshu checked me in were very helpful, who served us and need to be noticed, made our stay very pleasant. Very Spacious car park and its free, also its an additional. We would definitely recommend trying Chigwell Travelodge.

We stayed at this hotel for almost four weeks whilst work was being done to our house. Although we were worried that we would struggle living in one room, we were surprised how well we coped, undoubtedly helped by the fact that the room was actually quite large, including a table large enough for me to set up my computer, to allow me to work. The hotel was very clean and the room was cleaned daily. Although there were no breakfast facilities on site, there were sufficient alternative places nearby for breakfast and lunch/dinner was available at the Three Jolly Wheelers next door. Undoubtedly, though, our stay would not have been so pleasant, had it not been for the fantastic reception and cleaning staff working there. Tasmeen, Kasia, Karen, Iwana and Hollie were all first class, they all made our stay so pleasant, we really could not have asked for any better service from anyone.

If you are in construction and plan on staying at this hotel for work, please DONT... I stayed here for 4 nights and witnessed 5 vans including my own getting broken into... I had me hotel window bricked and lost about £1000 in tools. Apparently it happens every week in there carpark.

Clean room, on time for check in other than that nothing was good. One room was 2 single beds stuck together, no space to put clothes. Van was broken into in the on site parking, and all tools were stolen. Went to ask staff who replied “it happens all the time” no cctv on site and staff were extremely nonchalant about the ordeal.

Good location for my work stop over, after a busy day delivering goods. Nice big car park, perfect for my large van. Very clean and comfy room. Had a good nights sleep. Just a few issues with a damaged shower head, which I reported. Didn't stop me showering. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel and staff are nice enough and friendly. If you're thinking of booking here for work though and you have Vans, I would find somewhere else as there are multiple break-ins weekly. Hotel won't do anything about securing the car park and the police have no interest in following up despite CCTV.

Very disappointing. The hotel is located well but the presentation of the rooms was absolutely appalling. It took them 3 days to clean my room. I checked in to find dirt on the hand towel, Crumbs or something on thr floor and hair all round the sink, toilet and other parts of the bathroom. Raised a complaint which seemed to have fallen on deaf ears and told they couldnt clean it that night... OK fine, it's 7pm. Can I have a different room? No..... 2nd night I finished work got back to the hotel to find the bathroom was still in the same disgusting state as is was the 1st night. Went to raise another complaint and was asked if I'd brought this to the attention of the front desk on Monday when I 1dt checked in. I absolutely did. Went through it all again and again asked to be moved to another room and again was told no available rooms. Absolutely crazy! For a travelodge this is bar far the worst one I've stayed in. The room it self, pretty big, but only one light switch that turns all lights on. So even though there was bedside lights, you couldn't have them on independent from the other 2 very bright room lights. There was a very strong stench of some herb being smoked in the rooms opposite or outside the windows not sure as it was strong.

Room was large with very comfy bed. Bathroom extractor didn't work and bathroom tiles a bit dated and worn. Otherwise perfectly adequate for the money.

I have never been to such a quiet hotel, even though it was fully booked. Rooms were spotless and facilities just right for an overnight stay.

It was pretty poor, even for a travelodge. No ventilation, not quite clean, noise all night, no soap in shower dispenser, tired interior. Staff seemed OK, if a little disinterested. Price was a scandal too.

Very basic room and very dated for a £130 family room. It was cold and felt like I'd stepped into a time machine once I'd opened the door. Location was fine for the venue we were visiting and if you are looking for a bed then it will do. The pub a stones throw from the front door was very nice and of the six lunches ordered, all were given 10 out of 10. I didn't and regretted not going for the burger which I luckily grabbed a bite of was the best I've had from any restaurant. Summary - room extremely average, amenities - extremely strong.

Brilliant service! The room was spotless and so spacious, hotel staff were so kind and helpful, they even booked us a taxi after having to call several taxi ranks! 10/10 will be staying again!

The hotel is absolutely recommendable for a trip to London. Very friendly staff, clean large rooms, nothing was missing. It's not the newest hotel, but it's well-preserved. With a large parking lot. I saw my car from the room

We arrived earlier than anticipated but the staff were happy to accommodated us & were very helpful. For the price the room was ideal, clean, tidy & it's away from the road so not noisy. Bed is pretty firm so not to everyones taste. Free parking is a plus, as is the EV charge point in the adjacent carpark. We would definitely use again.
