Be careful how you park. We received a fine for £170 for having our wheels slightly in the yellow box. Travelodge needs to reconsider which parking enforcement company they use. Doing this to a disabled person.

Warm welcome when we arrived at the front desk. We arrived early and asked if we could check-in but was informed we'd have to pay a fee for doing so (which is stated on their website). The person on reception kindly made a note for us and had everything ready for us when we came back later in the day to go up to our room. The room was clean and the facilities were standard. Just what we needed for a 2 night stay over Christmas to visit the family.

If you stay here just be aware you will be woken up at 9am by house keeping constantly and repeatedly trying to come into your room I mean they tried about 5/6 times even tried getting in with a key even though it is locked as I clearly did not want to be disturbed due to getting back from work at 4am. Also be aware they will make as much noise as possible in the morning even though there are people trying to sleep as check out is not at 9am. I was fuming.

I didn’t actually stay here but wanted to praise the staff on reception on 19/8/22 around 6pm who helped me after our car had broken down. The lady allowed me to use the toilets and I was also able to get some water. Simple human kindness that was much appreciated.

Location was great for what we wanted, the room had hair dye on the floor wall and bathroom floor we told reception and they said oops we shouldn’t have anyone in that room. We had food one night and it was bought out separately my food was nearly cold before my daughter’s arrived. Not great service at all for the price we paid and wouldn’t be staying here again

Great location just off the M25 and opposite the new building area that will be the Sunset Film Studios. Views therefore are limited at the moment. Breakfast is available and is great. Rooms are comfortable and fairly quiet given the location. The bed was comfortable and warm. Will always stay here when visiting family. There is a car park out the back with plenty of space. Staff were friendly and informative. Tea and coffee is available in the room and extras can be taken from reception for the coffee and tea lovers out there. There is a small bar if you want to chillout before bed.

Super friendly check in and I was given a quiet room on the 5th floor. The room has a smell of cigarette smoke which was unpleasant unfortunately but the room was clean and comfortable. The car park is an advantage also. Breakfast was nice in the morning

Noisy from A10 road, but otherwise good. Rooms are being refurbished, so in good condition. Friendly staff. Free parking for guests. Ask for a room on an upper floor facing the carpark if you want a quieter stay.

The room was "tired," bulbs missing from lights, lights not working, bathroom fittings broken, 1 power socket, room needed a decent clean. The breakfast area was grubby also, the carpet and tables needed a clean and there needs to be more crockery available. The 1 member of staff on duty was runned ragged. I appreciate i am not paying high-end prices, but this was not a good image for travel lodge. generally, it's not the best place i have stayed, and I won't be rushing back.

Very good basic hotel for short term stay ("visiting the area" or "attending family events"). Excellent service from all staff and would like to especially mention the lady who checked us in and provided some assistance which we needed just after check in. Good condition refurbished room, good level of cleanliness throughout the hotel,  and adequate parking facilities. Would definitely use it again and happy to recommend. I would rate it as 4 out of 5 stars. Would have given it 5 star if not for the minor points of feedback which needed to be made: the A/c was not working fully; no bedside tables; no phone in the room so we had to go to reception from the 5th Floor everytime we needed assistance; breakfast was good but not worth the amount being charged, would have got better for cheaper within 10 minutes drive

We spent 3 nights here during the week and really enjoyed our stay in Cheshunt. Excellent welcoming staff, comfortable room for two, superb breakfast, bar and lovely evening meals available. All in all great value for money and handily placed for all we wanted to do. We didn't bring a car (there is plenty of parking) but were able to readily access trains and buses with a short walk to nearby Waltham Cross. If you are looking for somewhere to stay near the Junction of A10 and M25, definitely consider this Travelodge.

The hotel itself is alright, pretty basic but good enough for a one night stop, but the service was great - Delia at the front desk did a great job in sorting out some small issues for my group while keeping it real and funny! Thank you!

The rooms have been recently refurbished. They are clean and comfortable. The staff though is what really shines. They have all been so lovely and accommodating. Very helpful and really smiley. Would absolutely come back again.

I did not stay in room at all. But I went as an emergency and the staff were very helpful. They let me stay in the lounge and even offered me refreshments. So pleased to see humanity still exist.

Good rooms and staff were courteous and helpful. Buffet breakfast and great that kids eat free. Would have loved the change of breakfast option. Overall good layout.

Check-in went well and seamlessly - have to ask for hairdryer/iron as they don't come in the rooms. Rooms are big and spacious and mostly clean, but the bedsheets were dirty as you can see in the photo which wasn't nice. It was quite noisy even with the windows closed at night too, but the location was good and a close drive away from most places.

Very hard beds and awful curtains kept out barely any light when the sunrose. I was woken up by loud guests too and only given a "sorry" by the receptionist. Won't be staying again.

Rooms clean warm and spacious. Breakfast good but took a time to restock hot items so not so good.

Hotel is ok... I have definitely experienced worse Travelodge hotels, but this is a Travelodge and nothing more, cheap and cheerful and we used it simply as somewhere to crash following a wedding. I would not choose to stay here usually, but this was the closest hotel to the wedding venue. Few other friends stayed here as well. Room - this was extremely basic. TV did not work but not fussed about that, no hairdryer or other things like that. No hand soap in the bathroom and no shower gel (luckily we brought our own) Shower was nice and powerful though and not that bad. Hotel overall - seemed clean but walls are thin. Neighbouring room shouted a lot and were drinking heavily with music and you could hear everything. Breakfast - overall poor, would not recommend. Summary: Only stay here if you have no other option. It serves a purpose and assume it's mainly for people needing to stop over on long trips. Could do with a few little extras that should really be standard.

Hotel so so. Very dated and tired. No bed side table. Not enough plugs. Bathroom tired and needs updating. 2 plastic chairs in a large room. A sofa would have been better. Very small dining and bar area for the size of the hotel. Needs some TLC. Not for me personally. Might suit others though. It was clean enough which is a big thing. Try it for yourselves. Everyone is different!!

Good customer friendly service, I had a good time sleeping. I spent one night 🌙 but can't wait to book again for a holiday in North London. What I didn't like was their over head shower, it will need upgrading to current standard because you're forced to wash your hair if you don't have hair cup to cover your hair. But overall the I will rate this hotel 98% the 2% taking out is their shower.

This is our second home when we travel to visit family in Hoddesdon. We have never had a bad stay at this hotel. This time, however, was one of the best we've had. So close to Christmas and knowing these ladies were working over the festive season, everyone of them was happy, smiling and courteous each time we had to speak to them. We had trouble with our room key card and they fixed it ever time with a ready smile. Nice to see the all you can eat breakfast back again and the food was delicious. We're always happy to go back.

Clean room, comfortable bed. There is black mold in the bathroom due to damp issues, and I'm on the 3rd floor. Showers a low on pressure. Like a soft rain storm. Its same as all the other travel lodges. Basic and budget.

Staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. The room was clean and had a good night sleep. A down side not enough seating in the restaurant, the toilet in our room was very low to the floor and didn't flush properly. End on a positive the burgers were very nice

Stayed here for 2 nights and when going to our room I noticed the hallway was dirty and looked as though it had not been hoovered. On entering the room it had a very strong chemical smell which meant I had to sleep with the windows open as it was making me cough. Also the room again did not look very clean and the floor had crumbs. Asked to change rooms but unfortunately there was none available. The next day I asked to switch rooms and the receptionist was very accommodating and I was able to move. The new room looked a lot cleaner but unfortunately I did not enjoy my stay and won't be staying again.

Car park can be described as car crime capital, upon arriving this week we were told by other guests that 1 night , 12 vans were broken into for powertools , last night there was 2 shiteheads breaking into 1 guys hire van . The hotel should be working with the police as hard working people are falling victim & its common knowledge. If you send your lads away in vans , expect them to be broken into !!

The room serviced its purpose for us as we didn’t want to drive all the way home from London. However, the whole room was quite dirty. The floor was stained as if there once was vomit. The bathroom is so small it’s almost not functional. The shower pressure was fine but the tub itself was so small there is barely enough room to take a shower. Getting out was also a bit of a challenge as the step out is quite large. The beds looked clean (I hope). Very uncomfortable. With only one pillow for each of us. I avoided using the duvet. And simply slept with no blankets. The AC does not work. There are not enough plug-ins- they’re also in an extremely inconvenient location. I would never stay here again. Especially at the expensive price we paid. The room is worth no more than £40/night- and even then that’s a bit too high.

I would like to say Big Thank you to Raluca and Grazyna for their hospitality and help. They are extremely friendly and have great attitude towards work. The rooms are clean and tidy, really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

I had a nice stay at this hotel had no complaints until, I received a fine for using the hotel parking. Even though the website clearly states free parking. I have tried to get in touch with the hotel unable to do so unless I pas 45p a minute, ignored my email and no live chat or way of speaking with the hotel directly. I am very unhappy makes me never want to book with travelodge again. It was the only option for me that allowed dogs in the area, which made me happy an hotel offers this choice. I am sure I should of gave my car registration number at reception the lady there at the time did not ask. Even when I said I am going to get my things out the car now. Avoid.

Good stopover and the room was clean and presentable. Staff were great as always. Bit noisy from the A10 if you are on the road side but just shut the window and it's all good.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights while working away. Room was clean but worn and including carpet. No beside cabinets X2 chairs unfitting to space. Noise from the onsite restaurant was like being in a nightclub, complained to reception X3 times about the issue as couldn't sleep, one member os staff totally uninterested, no one wanted to check the noise levels. Vending machines broken, lift button not working for ground and would need to get off at 1st and walk down stairs. Continuous smelling of cannabis, Do not use this site and insult to prices charged

If you are a contractor avoid this place like the plague. The carpark is insecure and your vans will be broken into. Speaking with the police this is a weekly occurrence at this site. They have security 24/7 so as this is happening weekly there's no way they are not aware. Cost us £1500 worth of tools. Apparently no recourse with the hotel and our responsibility. 7 other contractors vans done on the same night. Staff on site simply shrugged their shoulders and said it happens all the time. Wont stay at this location ever again - worst travel lodge nation wide.

Ordered accessible room 5 months ago yet they messed this up, leaving a disabled traveller with no facilities. On a plus, the lad, drew, did his very best to help, and organised free drinks.

  • 4/5 Matt C. 1 year ago on Google
The place was clean and tidy and the staff were really nice and friendly the security guard was a bit much but apart from that it was a good experience and lastly the breakfast was decent with lots of choices can’t complain

Stay here regularly for work. Anna is a fantastic receptionist always happy to help. The team are friendly and welcoming. The food served in the evening is basic but expensive. The rooms have always been clean and well presented. Book your room ahead of time and get better rates. This seems to be a busy hotel you cannot guarantee a room on the day if you haven't booked in advance.
