What a beautiful park. Lived in the area for more than 20 years and never knew about it. I am a bit surprised why this park is not mentioned anywhere. It should be in the top places to visit in the surrounding areas. The park is well looked after, clean and great for walks. Free parking, tea room, toilets and pet corner(£2). I certainly enjoyed my visit and will be coming back.

Park in Cheshunt, former location of Theobalds Palace and now home to pets corner, a maze, a fantastic café and beautiful woodland area. Free car park.

Such a beautiful park to walk dogs and make special memories with loved ones. There are some historical places within the park and the grounds are full of nature and maintained beautifully. There is also a cute animal centre at the heart of this park!

Lovely historic park with lots to see and learn about in the park. Free parking available in park. Good paths for pushchairs and wheelchair users. The park has a lot of ruin historical buildings with information boards about the historical context to park, ruins and different park spaces. The park has lots of different section to walk and enjoy. The children enjoyed reading about all the history the park has and reading the memorial plaques on the various park benches. The maze was great and the children really enjoying wondering inside the maze. Highlight for the garden was the astro hill and trying to get to the top only with your socks on. The spent over an hour playing on this hill. A must try for everyone young and old. Park was very clean and well maintain. Dog users in park were very sensible with dogs and we felt safe wondering all parts of the park. There is a cafe in the middle section of the park near the historic wall plaque with famous people from history selling hot and cold food and drinks with lots of seating areas. A lovely park where history only a walk in the park.

Spent a leisurely hour or so exploring here. Family orientated with a cafe, zoo and plenty of outdoor green space. The historic ruins are fascinating to view 🙂

I’ve been coming here since I was a child and now I’m bringing my own children all these years later. It’s a lovely park with lots of history. The kids enjoy running around, kicking a football or riding their bikes / scooters. The cafe is great with plenty of room to sit indoors or out and there’s a quiet zone for those that need it. Great selection of hot and cold food, teas, coffee and ice cream.

This was our first time visiting Cedars Park and it was really pleasant. We took our kids (7yr & 4yr) with their bike & scooter and had fun exploring the garden grounds. The free parking on site is useful and backs right on to the start of the grounds, so there's no walk at all until you're inside and enjoying what it has to offer. Although I could see it filling up easily during peak hours so be prepared to park somewhere else or come back another day/time! If the weather was warmer, we would have definitely stayed longer to buy something from the café, then sit and eat somewhere on the grounds. However since it was snowing ( ! in April!?), we decided to leave after a couple of hours to get lunch at home in the warmth! My only complaint would be the amount of litter we saw - but this is in no way a reflection of the grounds, rather the disrespectful sort of people who can't think to take it away with them to put in bins. The pathways are nice and flat, with several gardened areas to walk around (or bike, or scoot) and enjoy the open space. The highlight for the children would be the short bush maze and slidey-down hill :) Once lockdown eases a bit, I could easily recommend this place for a couple friends & family to enjoy an afternoon out of the house.

We visited on a clear and crisp day. The cafe was open and sold a variety of snacks and hot food, ice cream, cold drinks and cakes. The toilet facilities were clean and respectable. There is disabled access throughout the park. We arrived, and were lucky enough to be the first crowd to see the Laughing Kookaburra which we had a talk on and saw them feeding. It was a really nice experience for us and the young children we had with us. I could say many more positive things about this place but I think most of the enjoyment I had was from the mystery of the place. I never knew this place existed until my random visit. Access is a painful experience if coming north from the m25, other wise that's all I have to say. I will definitely be returning with the kids they had a great time.

Lovely park with a few nice walks. Plenty of parking. The nature centre is good and only £2 each. The kids also has lots of fun on the teletubby hill (although it was a little damaged when we were there)

If you are looking for a short walk during daylight hours then this is a good start. Plenty of space to walk your dog but please note it does close at different times during the year. It has a cafe although I haven't tried it yet and in part of the site there is a bowl of water for dogs

First time walking in this park and loved it. Full of interesting attractions. It's not huge but big enough to get a reasonable walk. Full of historical information and remains. Lovely cafe with an adult section, monuments, palace remains, nature centre and more. Lots of parking or minutes from Theobalds Grove Station.

Nice park. Nice mix of "wild" and cultivated areas. The cafe bit basic. We were too late for anything except burgers. I'll take a packed lunch if I visit again.

Lovely open park with wide concrete paths for strolling around or cycling. Duck pond with little fountain sometimes working. Clean toilets and nice cafeteria with indoor and outdoor seating. A maze for the kids and wooden carved animals dotted around in the grounds. Original folly from the Jacobean palace that used to be situated on the park and parts of the palace walls remain. Lovely little animal park (£2 entry fee) with meerkats and small reptiles. Summer events on a Sunday. Parking is free but can get busy, you can park opposite in Cheshunt football club if the park car park is full.

This has always been a beautiful park… but The hedges that have finally grown enough to make the maze look decent is being eaten alive by hundreds of caterpillars. They were all over the place. The centre of the maze is still green at the moment but the outside of the maze has been decimated. All someone needs to do is spray some natural pesticide or something. It can’t be that difficult. And the pond absolutely stinks. Before much longer it’s going to be a health concern. Feel like I need to wear a mask to stand near it. It needs clearing out.

👍👍 Beautiful park, lovely long walk, many dog walkers. Two small obstacles is that cattle at times free roam and out of respect dogs must be kept on a lead.
