I am compelled to share my recent experience with Warden Lodge Medical Practice, and unfortunately, it has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. My family and I recently received a letter to schedule vaccinations for our children, who were born abroad and already had vaccines documented on their cards. The entire process at this GP practice has been marred by incompetence and a lack of professionalism. During our first appointment, the nurse struggled to match our children's vaccination records with the UK standard. With the assistance of Google, we managed to guide her through the process. However, shockingly, she failed to record the vaccine administered to our son in their system. This oversight became apparent during our next visit when another nurse informed us that the previous record was not on the system. Despite explaining that this conversion had already been done, we were told it was not recorded, and the nurse didn't have the time to rectify it immediately. Promises of a callback for the next vaccine were made but were never fulfilled. Attempting to address these issues by calling the practice has proven to be a Herculean task. The front staff, especially the receptionist Kate, displayed extreme unprofessionalism by hanging up on me when I requested to speak to the practice manager. Such behaviour is unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the overall quality of service at this GP practice. Another glaring issue is the appointment booking system, which requires patients to call precisely at 8.00 am. Despite making diligent efforts to secure appointments, the experience has been exasperating. Disconnections after waiting for extended periods and a lack of consideration for patients' time and effort are utterly disheartening. As contributing members of society, we expect the healthcare system, funded through our national insurance, to provide efficient and accessible services. Unfortunately, Warden Lodge Medical Practice falls woefully short of meeting these expectations. To add insult to injury, we received a recent text message stating that walk-ins for appointments would no longer be allowed. This, coupled with the difficulty in booking appointments over the phone, raises serious concerns about how this practice plans to fulfill its obligations to the patients and the NHS. In conclusion, if there were a way to assign a negative star rating, Warden Lodge Medical Practice would undoubtedly receive it. This review serves as a plea to the relevant authorities to address the glaring issues within this practice promptly. I am taking my complaint to the necessary bodies to ensure that the vaccination needs of my children, and those of others, are not compromised due to the inefficiencies of this GP practice.

I have tried on three occasions in past week to get an urgent appointment. Very worried about something. I have had to take time off work to try and get seen and on each occasion told there is nothing left once you get through after half hour of holding. The receptionist was so rude and condescending. I am a nurse for the NHS and I know that if I spoke to a patient the way she has spoken I would be suspended. Shocking patient service. However I’m still left distressed and frustrated at not being able to get to see a doctor.

I cannot for the life of me get an appointment at this Practice. Having called repeatedly and been told I could book an appointment by attending the practice in person, I turned up and then was told I had to attend the surgery at 8am on a Monday specifically. The surgery is completely dead, with no patients in the waiting room. One of the receptionists even said there would be no doctors in the surgery that day. Where are the doctors and why are they being paid when they don't see their patients?

Been with the surgery more or less since it opened and never had a problem. Always found Maggie on reception to be really helpful and friendly. However after having a telephone consultation with Dr Rashid I’ll be moving doctors. Never been spoken to more condescendingly, due to this I hung up the phone as I wasn’t prepared to speak to someone with such an attitude to get another call to say he was ‘now irritated’ because I’d ended the call. The issue hasn’t been solved in any way shape or form either and was clearly not even going to attempt to before the first call was ended. Read through reviews to find I’m not the only one that’s had issues with him.

Unfortunately I have had to contact my GP on a few occasions recently, but am usually fit and well. I am usually able to get an appointment when needed and have found the receptionists to be very helpful. I had put an admin request in online requesting a letter for my workplace, and received a telephone call from Dr Rashid. He was very unhelpful, rude and abrupt to say the least. He spoke over me and questioned why this was required. I have requested with the reception team he is not to contact me again in future & will be avoiding booking any further consultations with him. I have since seen another GP regarding a separate issue and he was very helpful. I can see others have had similar issues and I hope this can be resolved promptly.

Thanks to dr May my partner did not have to suffer from throat and chest infection longer than it is necessary. The help was just on time, while the diagnosis was acurate and well explained. Prescribed medicines worked very well. We are extremely grateful for the help. Thank you.

Had 3 appointment cancelled in a row. When I call and wait in line for over an hour I’m often hung up on just as I get through to reception which is awfully frustrating. Most times I have to go to the practice to Speak with someone and often my queries aren’t logged or responded to like they say they will. Was spoke to by someone called Kay/ Kate today on reception who was patronising, rude and unhelpful. My mother has also had horrible experiences speaking with this woman. It’s like one step forward three steps back with this surgery. Better off not bothering. Waste of time and leave feeling worse off than when you called. Not how you want to be treated during your time if need. Shameful ‘care’ really. Can’t imagine how it must affect some people. Been going on for years now. When are you gonna read your reviews and do something about it ?

Not great, so hard to get an appt, you have to turn up at the surgery in the morning and hope they can give you an appt on the day. This isn't feasible for people who work. When I did see a doctor she was great, but is was such a bunfight. I know there are massive pressures in the NHS now, but this just isn't sustainable.

Would like to thank the whole practice for all their help over the last few weeks with both my children Susan St Clair went above and beyond my expectations and really went that extra mile for me. After 2 years of really struggling due to the pandemic it was such a relief to receive such a lovely welcome from the reception staff to Susan. Thank you for making my children feel better and for putting me at ease thank you Susan for your professionalism and kindness it truly means a lot.

Visited the Warden Lodge Medical Practice to rectify an ongoing issue with them. Sign says 'Wear a Face Mask' So exactly what l did, only to be told by some big ole woman 'Take your Face Mask off Now' No Hello, No Please, No Thank You, No Politeness shown, and she insists on interrupting you all the time. A very rude woman with no manners, and an arrogant demeanour about her. Think it would be easier talking to a rottweiler than her. Horrible woman, she showed no empathy, and didn't care at all. I see other people have had the same treatment as me, awful. They should Practise their non existent customer skills, l suggest start by being polite, instead of Rude.

I’ve been with this surgery for years. It’s an absolutely disgrace now. I wouldn’t even want to give it a star. I’ve been ringing every day at 8am to not having anyone picking up. I’m having serious heart conditions right now and the people who take the calls state you have to ring back tomorrow at 8 to book an appointment or to come in. I have to work. Honestly people don’t bother with this place anymore.

Rude on the phone rude on the front desk, abrupt ignorant and treat you like “why are you bothering us” going to the doctor isn’t a matter of choice for us, we go there because we need help and advice, it should not be an off putting experience and to be treated with contempt by an unqualified receptionist is very very frustrating. To the point where have to bite your own tongue to not react to the utter rudeness and elitist attitude.

12th October, appalling service, I can't give zero stars, waited on phone, number 2 in the queue for 2 hours, at this point they cut me off, an hour into the first call l used a second phone and was held in a queue for 2 hours 25mins, got cut off, rang back at 1709, "surgery now closed for staff training". Ye Gods, you now can't go to the surgery and queue but use the phone. I don't even want an appointment!!! I am having extreme difficulty getting my medication. Pharmacy cancels the prescription due to lack of supply,THE PROBLEM is that the surgery, who are notified the same time as me, do not amend my record, so it looks like I have had the medication, which I have not, so when I find a supplier, I cannot "re order" before a certain date, because they have not adjusted my record. I am in despair. Next stop Practice Manager, after that..... who knows. This is no way to run a surgery. You are supposed to care about your patients.

I have never met so rude reception staff! Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. This practice needs to be closed or staff to be changed! Absolutely ridiculous! Stay away if you need care and respect!

Some of the staff are rude, and I felt some of them were racist, they think they are much higher than Doctors, Not answering the phone, I was in Gp at 9 am, phoned Gp from there, see the phone is busy. I was looking how come is busy she doesn't speak on the phone, the went closer I saw she put the landline phone head on the table.

I called this surgery several times and they can't be less helpful! The reception that I spoke today was so rude, patronising and blunt! She was talking down to me as if I was a child, not that I would ever treat a child like this! If you hate your job then look elsewhere don't take it out on your clients. I've worked in customer service and deal with users for the past 35 years and I can tell you this surgery hasn't got a clue. Very disgraceful and disrespectful service.

I've been with this GP surgery for about 6 or 7 years now and I think they're fantastic! Apart from the fact it does sometimes take a while to get through on the phone (although their eConsult service for non urgent matters is brilliant!) I almost always get an appointment for myself or my children on the same day (we had face to face appointments during the covid waves too), the GP's and nurses are friendly, reassuring and professional, the receptionists are mostly helpful with enquiries and we are usually promptly given the right treatment and advice in a timely manner. We are also accomodated quickly for screening tests, referrals and immunizations. I personally would highly recommend this surgery.

My family have been with this surgery for many many years. Receptionist Amy, behind a screen with a sign stating please wear a mask, has the mask under her nose and then lowers it to speak ! Trying to get information and the surgery to respond is very difficult. It used to be a great surgery.

18th October. Unsure as to why it took half an hour sitting as caller number 1 for someone to answer the phone just for me to hear the other receptionists talking about shoes and their sizes (I know they were receptionists because I recognised the voice of one of them) one of them said ‘I have some black pumps I’ll bring them in for you tomorrow’ considering I originally used the online request system that they suggest using before getting no where and having to call in. I could barely hear the receptionist I was actually trying to talk to. it’s also rather disrespectful to their colleague who was actually trying to do her job. 0 stars.

Never able to get an appointment, a couple of the receptionist and practice nurses do try their best but look stressed. Usually a sign of a poor SMT. Latest episode. I had an appointment to see a practice nurse for some follow up treatment post hospital discharge. As I have mobility issues, I needed to use a cab. This didn't turn up so I started making my way to the bus stop. I know I was going to be late so tried phoning, "You are currently 27 in the queue." was the response. In the end, I missed my appointment, but still attended. Couldn't fit me in, fair enough. At this stage I started to feel very unwell. I told the front desk this and was basically ignored. Got home, wife called 111, assessed and ambulance sent for me. In A&E it was suspected I had suffered a minor stroke. A&E staff couldn't believe that someone in such obvious distress was turned away from their GP! Spent the next 3 weeks in hospital. Wait there is more.Twice over the years, they have missed life threatening conditions in my wife, on both occasions being palmed off as its nothing, being prescribed inappropriate treatment, once even being sent to the wrong hospital! It has been due external intervention, twice, that she is still here. Would love to change, however, all surgeries seem about the same around this area.

I have nothing but praise for this practice. Yes it is hard to get through on the phones, but their e consult service is amazing. I’ve used it twice now and within a day I have had a doctor call me back a deal with my case over the phone. Both have involved a referral, but as I said they have been fantastic and dealt efficiently with my problem immediately. Well done to you all and keep up the good work.

Some of the receptionists seem to think they are doctors, can never see a doctor, lucky if you get a phone appointment from a doctor, but can see a nurse , hopefully get better treatment at the walk in centre!

They won’t listen to you no matter what issue you have. Cuts you off when you describe YOUR symptoms and tell you basically go home take paracetamol and wait until it gets worse. Then go to a&e . But no matter what don’t come back to us is what they are saying. FED UP

Hardly ever do negative reviews! But this time I just feel I have to share this. Me and my family hardly ever need to see doctors (thank god) but every now and then when we do there is always an issue of some sort! Today my 7year old was seen by a doctor as he has a chest infection. (Last year we had a similar issue and he ended up in a hospital on Christmas Day) This time we were given a prescription for antibiotics, I went to 6 pharmacies and none of them had it in stock! We had the same problem last year so I have mentioned that to the doctor this time, to perhaps prescribe less common drug. Anyhow i found one pharmacy which can do this drug but in a form of a pill so I need a new prescription. When I went back to the GP I just feel the receptionist was not listening at all what I was explaining to her and it was almost like I’m bothering her for no reason! Anyway I spent 3h chasing after my son antibodies and still I have no idea if we manage to get this new prescription done by today! I feel the reception team has no compassion at all and don’t know how to provide good customer service! I tried calling them now but their line are not working! Is just so sad we pay so much taxs and when you need help or services is just such a bad experience. It book today appointment I was on hold for 45min and than the line drop and than another 50min. And till now still not antibiotics

Not even 1 star worth Disgraceful My 19 year old daughter has seen a nurse twice and the gp once and they keep telling her to come back if problem continues They can’t even be bothered to refer her to the clinic across the road to have an ultrasound Her problem is getting more severe and all they could say is have a STD test done 😡 I had to make an appointment with a private clinic and pay a huge amount OBVIOUSLY my daughter will register with a different practice Hopefully more caring and willing l

My mother is with this surgery unfortunately and has mixed dementia. They refuse to take responsibility for her vaccinations as a vulnerable person and bombard me with text messages asking me to get her vaccinated even though I have written to them THREE times explaining my ill health and inability to carry this out. They either can’t read, are ignoring my communications or just plain stupid - not sure which! Consequently my mother has not received her vaccinations this year as they refuse to take ownership for their responsibilities. Disgraceful surgery. Thank goodness I am not registered with them.

The worst surgery. The receptionists are rude and abrupt. They never answer calls yet anytime you go into the surgery they're sitting there chatting and gossiping.

I had my first visit to Warden Lodge this week. First of all when i rang the system told me where i was in the queue (Number 11) so the wait time was not too bad and at least i knew where i was in the queue at all times. The receptionist was polite and helpful and booked me an appointment. On Arrival once again the receptionist was polite and the place clean with chairs spaced out for waiting to be called. The Doctor i had was very friendly and took my blood pressure and gave me the necessary forms for further treatment and everything went smoothly.

Refused to give my Autistic brother a doctors note on his condition to his OCD after paying for the doctors note , after a receptionist called to check with us that we was the ones who applied for it as they didn’t have a clue and clearly forgot about it after chasing them up , we understand there always short staffed or all seem to be sick on the same day however if your paying for a service it should be straight forward and professional not denied because they can’t be bothered to do it.

Very rude lady talked to me when I tried to sort out my son’s medication that supposed to be on the prescription. She didn’t let me to finish my sentence on the phone and asked me to go there twice. Very unhappy with the service
