I feel terribly sorry for any low-level reception staff and even worse for the many vulnerable people who rely on this service. It is seriously abysmal. The Doctors insist on 'discussing' on-going prescriptions and then delaying the prescriptions, leaving patients without important medication. Why? It's hard to say. I think it might be an attempt to cover up the clear chaos and disorganisation they work in. I know of people with mental health issues being actively discriminated against, mistreated, and attempts to undermine their humanity. Seriously shocking. Whoever runs this place needs to be held accountable for not fixing these huge deep-seated issues and lack of basic training. The mistreatment constitutes neglect and abuse in my opinion. This place needs a serious review. Do not sign up for this surgery under any circumstances. You're better off having to travel further afield. Particularly if English isn't your first language or if you're vulnerable/don't have advocacy, your needs will be completely dismissed. Even if not, you have to fight very hard for fair treatment. Comely Bank is only around the corner and they're far more professional so i'd recommend them if you're local. Stay away under all circumstances. T

Absolutely discusted with the service received from the receptionist Nanhim my friend called to enquire why he hadn't received his telephone consultation was rudely interrupted 3 times no apologies for their mistake just rudely told call back at 8am to rebook. we asked to speak with someone else and a very helpful and understanding member of staff named Rahind come on the phone and apologised for the rudeness that my friend had experienced and rebooked the appointment with no hassle and no attitude in for the next day. my friend has been with this surgery for 20 years plus and has never received such bad service. Me as a witness to the call was shocked at how someone could be so rude.

I've just phoned to book an appointment. I have a chest infection which I've had for 10 days now. As a chronic asthmatic I'm in danger of this turning into bronchitis or pneumonia. My pharmacist thinks I should now be on antibiotics or steroids.I was told that the next appointment would be in two weeks time. I have to phone back at 08:00. With the fevers during the night I'm not sleeping well then over-sleeping. This really isn't the care that I expected in my old age. Previously: I've been with this practice for almost 40 years. Now in my older years I'm a bit scared to stay on here. I've not seen a GP face-to-face in over 4 years. Phone appointments sometimes don't come through, and I can't say everything I need to in the 10 minute allotted time. I'm scared that I'm just not getting the care that I now need. Blood test results weren't sent to me for several months, even though some fairly serious issues showed up. I have several health issues that need addressing and I can't get the care and attention from this practice like I used to be able to. I'm not sure what's happening there but it's been since COVID that poor practices have been prevalent here. I think that I need to find another GP practice. I'm trying to look after myself but I'm scared that they'll miss a diagnosis here and that I'll die from their negligence. Why they can't see patients face-to-face now is a mystery to me. Other GP practices offer normal appointments now. I have to seriously re-think my loyalty to this practice as it's not good for my health. Just to add that I was waiting for a phone appointment but although calls came through, when I tapped on "answer" it doesn't connect. Their text message feature is blocked for me to use it. I haven't blocked it. Email doesn't seem to be an option and a GP diagnosis questionnaire feature tells me that my symptoms can't be diagnosed and that I need to book an appointmen! I'm just constantly going round in circles getting nowhere and getting older and frailer in the meantime. ADDENDUM. (Previous) I went into the surgery to take in some test vials. Whilst there I mentioned my communication problems and disappointment with the care I was getting, to the new reception staff. The young receptionists listened, told me to take a seat and, after a few minutes, I was offerered a face-to-face appointment later the same day. It's a 25 minute walk each way for me, but I gratefully accepted the appointment. Thank you Dr Khan for listening to my short list of health problems and actioning some tests and referral appointments. I hope this good care and reception kindness, and consideration, continues. I now have an email contact address and I feel reassured ftm. Thanks to everyone on duty, in the morning, on Friday 25th October.

Impossible to get an appointment (which must be telephone appointments for all conditions in the first instance) even with a long term health condition that requires active support from your GP. Constantly told to go to A&E or the out of hours emergency GP instead. Practice manager doesn't respond to written complaint or telephone complaint I would suggest this Practice is bordering on financially abusing the NHS as it seems they have too few appointments for the number of patients they have taken on (and are being paid for!)

This place is a joke. They won’t treat you, but send you away. Doctor never listens to you on the phone, but speaks over you. Yes yes go away and brush You off. You are young and shouldn’t be sick and other nonsense. Seriously aren’t you there to help people?! Appalling service. I always have to call nhs to be referred on call else where. What’s the point having gp then? I already spend money for meds in pharmacy , that never helped. Anything stronger requires doctors prescribing, which You refuse to do. You should be sued for medical negligence! You send people away, who are sick and in a need of help. As doctors you should be helping them ! Beside you don't even see then face to face, but just have a chat over the phone. Gaslighting and being rude. Go and ask yourself again, why You became a doctor at first place ???!

I still haven't received a referral from 4 months ago. I asked for a prescription I have to take every day and they refused to prescribe it to me even though I had documents from a specialist doctor stating I need to take this medicine daily. Instead they said they put me in a queue for another specialist. I called 4 times since, I still haven't received a referral. They keep on saying there is nothing they can do. I could have had serious medical problems (I could have died, I am not taking this medicine for fun, it is because I HAVE TO). if I just listened to them and waited, running out of medicine months ago. Worst experience ever. Doctors are misogynistic, rude and dismissive, receptionists are rude and dismissive too, signing up to this place is a health hazard. When I said I cannot just stop taking the medicine I am taking daily because I might have health complications and it is *my health* on the line and *my life* on the line, they said it is my problem not theirs. I cannot even see a specialist privately because apparently, I need a referral for that as well and the only thing I keep on hearing is that this they can't do anything and they don't know anything, and referral has already been sent. I am tired, I am angry and they caused me a lot of stress; I had to fly to my home country in the EU to see my old doctor and get a prescription for, at least, a few more months. It cost me a lot of money too. I am fuming! This place should be closed. If it was up to the doctors from this place I would be dead by now.

Absolutely Abhorrent Non Existent GP service!!! Been with them for over 20 years but since covid they have gone so badly downhill its disgusting!! Shocking how they are still open. Possibly the ONLY GP who Still Refuses to see patients face to face! What are they getting paid for? Even on the phone appointments if your lucky enough to even get that they are rude and just dismiss everything and fob you off to buy over the counter basic meds. Refuse to even Prescribe medication no matter how serious the issue is- tryin to use NHS cost savings nonsense as a blanket excuse. Dr Khan ive had the misfortune to be given as the doctor few times and he has got to be the most incompetent useless doctor ever-he has never been bothered to do anything and blames everything on "viral infection" in fact one time he missed a critical sign for something which shouldve been picked up by him and since he was not doing anything i had it checked privately and they immediately picked it up and had me treated and were shocked he ignored it as it couldve been very serious if missed. Dr Shah is another one who is no good when ive had a very bad seriously prolonged cough his treatment was "stop coughing" those were his exact words, no antibiotics nothing. IVE NOW MOVED TO A MUCH BETTER GP WHO CARES .. IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AVOID THIS GP AND CHANGE IMMEDIATELY!!

the receptionist are rude and the GP is not helpful, I booked an appointment and they espected to me to carry the phone even to the toilet, they don't give a time frame for the call simply say between 9 and 4, so if you need to go to the toilet you must keep the phone with you just in case, that's is ridiculous, I lost the call and I call the centre to re book, the receptionist simply say you cannot book now you must way 2 weeks, so what should I do in the middle time to get the medicine? I am suffering depression and my biggest concern now is if I am going to have the medicine, so stressful, I cannot believe that is the way they treat mental health patients, but it is, unfortunately it is, really unprofessional, total lack of empathy and to much rudeness

Horrific. Reception staff are often incredibly rude and obstructive - they are actually antagonistic when they are in a position to offer help. It would be almost funny were it not so serious.

I was very sick, ai couldn’t even go to work. I tried to book an app at this GP but it was impossible, every time I called they advised me to call next day 8am. They never have space to book you in, always fully booked, even if you call before 8. The service is a joke. Is take me several times to book an appointment with the Dr.

Please.do not registered at this Practice if you life or that of your love ones depends on it. The majority of the reception staff needs training in costumer care. The partner GP only looks at the bottom line..£s. Not an once of.care. 1. Missed a call. Called back 1 minute later and was declined a call back from the clinician 2. Rescheduled the appointment for another day. Waited for hours to be told I did not have an appointment. 3. Request information on lodging a complaint and was told the information would sent, but still waiting.

Seamless end to end support for urgent prescription for temporary visitor to the U.K. I had tried 7 other local practices none who would help or strung me along. Grove Medical Centre solved a 5 week issue in just over 24 hours. Everyone I dealt with was helpful and considerate. I am very grateful. Thank you.

Hopeless! They phoned me to ask if I wanted a health check. It was booked for Saturday when they are normally closed. On arrival there were no staff to be seen so I took a seat and waited. There were no other people waiting. I was called 15 mins after my appointment time. I had not seen anyone else enter or leave the Dr’s and the person I was waiting to see had not been with another patient. How can a Dr’s be running 25 mins late on a Saturday when they are empty!

Impossible to get an appointment, one time they wouldn’t give me a face to face for my 3 month old with, instead told me to wait a couple of days then go to a&e(?!) so I could see a locum gp there. Staff are rude, one nurse scoffed at my partner while asking if he had a phobia of needles (while said baby was about to have an injection) Unless you call at 8am and wait for an hour on hold then there’s no chance of being seen regardless of severity. They rely way too heavily on deferring to 111 and a&e. Not worth ever signing up

So ridiculous about the doctor. I just had phone call reservation. I had allergy reaction and doctor just said just took picture then sent to us. She do not even sent me link. In the whole phone call, you can feel the doctor just want to hang up the phone call. She didn’t care about it. So if you don’t want to died, please do not assign this GP.

Receptionists always very helpful and polite, doctors very efficient and kind! Also you don’t need to call at 8am for an appointment, I called at 2pm and got the last one. Suprised by the bad reviews!

Unprofessional and lack of empathy, almost absurd the receptionist Laura or Lora. After long fight she agreed that a doctor will call later for my grandson with high temperature for 2 days in row and nothing worked to normalise it. But she didn't want to write down my phone number only if she update it in system. I explain that is child's mother nr and I don't want to change it but was impossible for her to get it. She said that after, the mother needs to call again and update again. Putting me in the corner to answer with yes or no otherwise she will hung - this is the help for their patiences in a big city? Why a woman like Laura or Lora works to help people?

I’ve applied PCV license ( for London Bus driver job ) at DVLA and they’ve sent me a letter saying they wanted to check my health records with my GP. So I’ve called GP and explained to the receptionist about DVLA will send a letter and asking about my health records so I’d like to book telephone appointments with my GP Dr Shah. Then she starts talking impatiently about my explanation and tell me don’t waste our time but she did it for me phone appointment and tell me to wait for a call from Dr Shah. When I received a call from Dr Shah, I was happy and explained to him about the whole situation but his sound doesn’t interesting and telling me the same like the receptionist, “ don’t waste our time “. I was so surprised and upset which I didn’t expect that. I don’t have any health issues and I haven’t seen my GP for ages ( probably 3 or 4 years) for any health issues. Last week when I called DVLA about my PCV Bus Driver License status , medical team explained that they’ve sent a letter to my GP since 17 October 2022 and still didn’t get any reply yet. It’s over a month now and I’m still waiting for my dream job as a London Bus Driver. Today is 24 November and I’m still praying for my dream job. I’m a family man and I had 2 children and I am the only person working full time for my family. My wife is working part time and looking after my children. I’m really devastated that they both labelled me, don’t waste our time and still didn’t reply back to DVLA . My dream job was shattered. Sorry for my long story.

Surprised at the negative reviews. Receptionists have always been very helpful and clear - I have mostly found very easy to get an appointment. I have spoken to several GP's over the last year+ that I have been registered with them, all have been very understanding and helpful.

The Grove medical centre It does not deserve a single star. Doctors have very good service, but it is impossible to reach a doctor, even with a phone appointment. Reception service is horrible. I have been waiting for more than two months just for the prescription for my 8 year old.

The reception is RUDE!!!!!! They leave you on hold for long periods. They speak over you when trying to ask queries or request prescriptions. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and the service was so bad lady I was speaking to was practically shouting at me. I will be changing from this medical centre. They need to get new staff!!!!! Just plain rude! Or they need to be trained and deal with these things the right way!

This is probably only one of the very few GPS that are still only doing telephone consultations even if the symptoms ares bad. Probably one of the worse GP surgeries.
