The food is amazing! Will come back and try other dishes. It is a bit pricey but it is worth it. It will be more a treat when we come here. Service is alright, could be a bit more friendly. Huge thank you to the kitchen team as the food was just perfect. Made me think of my holiday back in Korea.

Such a little hidden gem, the food was so so good, albeit a little pricey for some of the food and drinks for the small space. I'm not a fan of backless seating and very small spaces. Would definitely recommend visiting in the day or an early dinner as it would feel claustrophobic when busy. Saying this I would still go back to try other dishes with friends as it was very different to other eateries. It felt very authentic, non pretentious and so tasty! We reserved a rotisserie chicken, Tongdak, which came with rice inside, Kimchi fried rice and Gochu. The wine recommended to us was delicious and exactly the notes we asked for.

Great food served here! Fresh, tasty and a well thought out menu. Good amount of food and tasted very authentic. Server's knew their menu too and its great to hear them discuss each dish to you. Top marks, well done.

Food was ok nothing special. Overpriced, the quantity of the food doesn’t even enough for 1 person. The waitress told us the food was the sharing size so we were aware it was gonna be big but .. yeah even one person couldn’t feel full. The service was great, staffs are friendly. The seats and tables are very limited and the restaurant is tiny. My friend and I got a table outside, the view was nice but it was raining. I suggest to reserve the table in advance. I don’t think I’d visit again due to the small portion, overpriced and the food wasn’t that special.

Fantastic food and very friendly and helpful. The starter of mixed snacks was amazing, especially the deep fried seaweed. Roasted whole chicken stuffed with rice was also amazing and went very well with the cabbage salad. And who would have known delicate crisps and soft serve ice cream would have been such a brilliant combo. Hope to come back soon.

Was recommended this place and it didn't disappoint. Missed out on a few dishes with our late booking but still thinking about the amazing dumplings and soft serve. The wine is very well priced. The staff were super warm and friendly too! Would come to back to Bristol for this alone.

Fabulous flavours. We had the chicken, which was memorable, the flavoursome beef rib, the glass noodles and the mackerel. A burst of colours and flavours. An amazing find.

Finally made it to Bokman and it didn't disappoint. The Galbi beef was amazing, braised tofu was immense and the Tongdak just so moist and delicious. Great stuff, will be back!

Came here for Valentin’s as we were curious about Korean food. Love all the vegan options listed on the menu, however I should warn you the food is quite pricey here in general. We had the jiggae stew which was full of tofu and variety of mushrooms, sadly it doesn’t come with rice, which I think is not very traditional and overcharging the customers as jiggae is traditionally eaten with rice. My partner had the fried glass noodles which were really good. Overall, would not come again due to high price.

Overall great authentic Korean restaurant. Fish food was amazing! Not typical Korean food you find in other restaurants, yet very tasty. Highly recommend! Banchan was fine. I feel £14 is quite overpriced. Banchan is meant to be eaten with rice in Korea. If £14 included rice, it would be more reasonable price. We ordered rice+kimchi, rice portion was quite small. The tasty of food was great. This must be the best Korean restaurant in Bristol.

Excellent meal. Bit of a limited menu, but everything sounded yummy, and we still struggled to pick. We opted for 1 main to share, the Monkfish, huge serving which tasted amazing, although the amount of monkfish could have been upped a bit. We also had the stuffed chilli's, which were also great. More than enough food I think. Would have loved to try more things, so will return again. Service was excellent, and food arrived quickly. The venue was tiny, also make sure you try and get seats upstairs, downstairs would be like an oven. The mains were pricey (but everything is now), but high quality.

By far the best Korean food I have had in the UK so far! Very nice little cosy restaurant with an authentic menu and great service. I definitely recommend

Love it in bokman, we have been multiple times since it first opened, food quality always excellent and always something new and interesting on the menu, however the galbi stew is a firm favourite. The prices have gone up a little but it is still reasonable for the great food and atmosphere and in line with similar in bristol. Dont miss out on the matcha tiramisu !!

Bokman is genuine, very authentic with some really knowledgeable and sweet staff. Everyone was really nice and explained the dishes very well. I real liked the drinking options, alcoholic and non ones, all of them, super interesting, even offering natural wine 💓 The food was excellent, very high quality ingredients, fantastic execution. The flavours were absolutely on point. You feel all the love poured into it. For people complaining about prices, they need to understand how much time it takes to make these dishes, but also how much do they think it costs to buy really the best local and sustainable ingredients? People need to be more grateful, it’s not easy!!!

Good, but nothing to rave about. We had mixed starters, chicken stuffed with rice, which was all good but not outstanding in my opinion. Desert mocha tiramisu was the best. They didn't have kombucha as too cold to brew and they didnt serve any hot tea. 1.5 hours slot was also a bit rushed, but they did state this when we booked, we just didn't notice at the time. Worth a try if you are in the area, but I wouldn't get out of my way to go there again.

Looks are deceiving when it come to this place. It seems tiny from the outside but it has a secret basement with more tables & chairs. The ordering style is different to most British places: you select a range of main & sides and share them between the group instead of just ordering for yourself. The beef stew had insanely melt in your mouth meat which makes me want to return just for it. The octopus was a super fun side and you get loads so I'd highly recommend that. The oysters were more of a let down, the presentation was cute but the kimchi ice on top was so cold it threw me off when eating; wish I had removed it and just had the oyster. I would like to see the dessert menu expanded as I think either ice cream or matcha tiramisu is very limited (especially when the ice cream machine is broken and you dont like matcha) but overall a good experience for me and my friends.

I can't sing the praises of the spot enough. Just a humble, small, Korean restaurant, off the main road in Stokes Croft, but a place that will leave you fulfilled. Had the mixed side dishes (pickled heaven) along side the whole chicken. Both dishes were incredibly tasty. Also, had the Korean beers to wash it all down, but they also stock all of the amazing local Bristol beers too. To top it all off, we had the chestnut and matcha tiramisu, which absolutely works! Just glorious. Certainly worth a visit, certainly going back.

The food was nice and authentic but the server was not very kind on the day I visited. The shop seemed busy so we asked if there is any seat available inside to double check but the server was treating us quite rudely. Even though the service didn't make the entire experience very enjoyable the food was still nice. As a Korean it reminded me of home

Really lovely food and great service. The waitresses were very friendly and went the extra mile to make sure everything was good. Highly recommend just for the service but food was delicious as well.

Best Korean food in the South west. If you want authentic Korean with a twist packed with flavour, and all served alongside smiles and delicious drinks.. You have to go to Bokman. My go to place when I want to impress Bristol visitors...

Incredibly tasty Korean food. They were able to make a range of dishes vegan, and we loved everything we tried. Natural wine selection and super friendly knowledgeable staff. New Bristol favourite!

This place was highly recommended by the reviews but it had turned out to be a disappointment. The menu has changed almost completely. I was looking forward to try the ramen and dumplings however it's no longer available. Kimchi fried rice was a letdown. Galbi Stew was tasty but unsure if its worth the price. The portion are quite small. Prices also had increased. Seating arrangements can definitely improve and perhaps consider printing out some menus for customers rather than asking customer to take a photo of the menu on the wall.

We ordered the galbi (beef ribs) stew and the banchan (side dish). They were tasty, the ribs were so tender. Although the stew was too sweet for my taste. And the banchan was too salty if eaten by itself, but it was perfect when eaten with rice. Would definitely come back to try other menus. Also the staffs were so friendly, they even explained what was on our plate, one by one.
