Very nice little place, with many fish and other stuff to choose from! Helpful owner who gives great advice. Will do my business at Friendly fish from now on.

Firstly I want to say that I personally have had good experiences here, however when in the shop on Sunday I heard a conversation that needs mentioning. A gentleman came in with his daughter, he mentioned his tank was 43 litres, and had two guppies. They then tested his water sample that showed nitrite. But he was still encouraged to buy fish. He said the tank was new. I left before the conversation concluded because if I’d have stayed I may very well have been kicked out for interfering, however why would anyone who values custom encourage someone to potentially kill their fish? A kids fish also 😢 Honestly don’t know if I’ll be returning. I valued this shop until now but the bettas looked half dead and this advice wasn’t appropriate. Regulations need tightening on these shops to prevent this happening repeatedly. It’s a life, not a toy.

Popped in yesterday for some starter fish and plants for a new aquarium. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff member. Even talked me OUT of one type of fish due to it not being appropriate at this time for the aquarium. Very well stocked with a wide range of fish and other equipment. I will definitely be back - thank you!

If there was a no star this is what I would give. Brought a large ghost koi who was in a small tank far to small than it should be in. Felt sorry for the fish and brought him home the fish was acting very lethargic and not as it should called the fish shop to explain the fish shop and he was full of excuses and was just trying to blame everything oyher than he sold a sock gish. The fish has now passed away to say we are devasted is an underdtand statement. Avoid at all costs and

Since I found Friendly Fish Aquatics I buy all my fish and supplies from there. Barry and his wife are very friendly and are very knowledgeable. Excellent customer service. Barry gives good advice and keeps all the tanks very clean and have not had any issues with the fish. They have a great variety of tropical fish. I would definitely recommend them.

A terrific pace to get fish, aquarium plants and ornaments. I love popping in every time I’m driving past. The owners (local family owned) are very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. Their customer service is outstanding too. It’s no wonder that these guys recently got 5 stars from their government inspection in care for their fish; it’s definitely 5 stars from me! Looking forward to going back again soon! I’d definitely recommend.

We visited friendly fish aquatics today and were very interested in the layout of the store, i loved all the help and advice, i thought Julie was very professional and friendly and helpful, we purched a fish tank and accessories and will definitely be going back

I purchased the Ciano 80 aquarium in white as a package and really pleased a great tank. Julie on the day at the shop was amazing and really supportive. I have to say the most inclusive SEN fish shop we have ever visited so big thank you! After care from Barry was excellent, really knowledgeable any questions on set up, settling in etc Barry immediately answered. Grateful to have found the Friendly Fish Aquatics who were not only the most affordable out of the whole market but also best service throughout. We will pop back soon Many thanks Zoe

It's exactly what it says ..he is a friendly guy and very knowledgeable.. a really good little fish shop where you can pick up some bargains he's always available to give you advice and I will be returning.. he had in a tank of some sturgeon which I thought was pretty unique they can grow up to 30 inches..

Quite a small shop in side a garden centre but had plenty of live stock. Got a bargain with a new fish tank. Worth a visit if you're passing.

Genuinely such a lovely shop experience. My sister and I came into the shop today to purchase a few small fish for her son to engage with for sensory / talking. The staff member who helped us was so incredibly helpful not to mention the time and care, we wasn’t rushed at all (which we was half expecting showing up so close to closing time) We bought all the bits including a tank to set up for my Nephews new fishy friends and was told in detail how to make sure the fish were safe and happy which was wrote down to keep :) Will be recommending to all friends and family

Brilliant really helpful rang up asking if they had a certain fish. They told me the date they would come in and when they would be available even went out there way to text me saying the fish could be collected ! Thanks for your help and also the prices are great!!

My partner and I inherited a marine aquarium when we bought a house. After learning how to look for after such an aquarium we wanted to introduce a few more fish and went to Friendly Fish Aquatics. After explaining the set up of our current fish tank and which type of fish we already had the sales person helped us selecting suitable fish. In addition to the fish we also picked a crab and two cleaner shrimps. We were told in detail how to introduce them into our tank and everything went smoothly. All fish appear happy and healthy :)

This is a gem of an aquatic store that I only discovered during lockdown. Sure, It's only small, but they carry a great selection of fish, including some rarer types, and invertebrates. There is also a good range of foods, (including live at the weekends) plants and accessories, all at reasonable prices. Barry and Julie are really welcoming and knowledgeable, and are my first port of call for my fishy needs. I recommend Friendly Fish Aquatics to you all. Give them a try :)
