Terrible communication and service from staff. Waited one and a half hours for shuttle to pick us up AT THE HOTEL! Then, equal wait at Logan airport curb on return flight. This was extra difficult given we had two toddlers with us. Room was in basement with unsecured windows and super noisy area. We all slept poorly. Neighborhood felt dangerous, the staff was unapologetic about delays, and the night concierge was seemingly drunk or on drugs. This was an absolute terrible ordeal and we gladly would have paid double to avoid this experience. Stay away, especially if you have kids.

Horrible hotel. I canā€™t believe this is part of the Choice Hotel line. I understand that you need a more affordable offering, but come on! It is not a good fit for physically challenged people as you have to use stairs wherever you want to go. Pretty sure my bed is broken (I can tell sitting at the end of it), the floor is dirty, shower curtain is dirtyā€¦everything is dirty. Sheets look ok, though. Towels have definitely seen better days. Horrible sleep at night because of other guests overnight. Pretty sure thereā€™s mold along the floorboards, especially in the bathroom. Iā€™m staying in room 102 for a reference. If we ever made it back to this area, I will not be staying here and I suggest to anyone looking to book here - DONā€™T! The only saving grace was the woman working the desk the afternoon/evening of 5/20 & 5/21. She was trying her best and was very friendly. Iā€™m sorry that I donā€™t know her name.

This is a recently (2017) well renovated really old hotel that runs a massive park (sleep) and fly operation as their primary business on a very noisy highway. Be prepared to move or have your car moved to a construction lot for storage. There are shuttles between the hotel, construction lot and airport. They cheaped out on the van graphics and blocked the windows so it feels a bit like you are being kidnapped. Book with caution, the rooms, showers, and bathroom to include toilet are small. Water pressure is lacking. Tape is used to keep drawers closed. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

The good: Cheap. The bad: Used Way to book long-term parking here before a 9 day trip. Address provided appeared to be a gated-off lot with the only visible signage facing the opposite direction and twenty feet in the air. Upon arriving at the actual inn to get clarification, which was nowhere near the lot address, there was no one at the desk. The motel lobby area was not only filthy, but there was a loud, unidentified grating noise coming from somewhere in the building. Finally we realized the voices we'd heard out back were not guests, but that of staff smoking with an individual wearing nothing but a hot pink, off the shoulder number in February (you be the judge of that). The front desk associate gave us a scrap of paper with directions back to the lot and no other details. Luckily we found it only to wait for the shuttle that was late picking us up. Upon climbing into the "shuttle" we were greeted by a couple who discussed getting their previous driver high. Coming home we phoned the shuttle 3 times before getting an answer. Was quoted 15-20 minutes only to wait 45 to be picked by a driver who appeared to be drunk and struggled to maintain a straight course. When we finally arrived at the lot, the attendant struggled to know the day and find the appropriate keys for the other patrons, who shared their terrible experience staying at the actual motel. Will never again use this service.

Stayed before and after our international trip and parked car for 16 days. Room the first night was in the back up a flight and was quite nice. Room on return trip was clean but in the basement. It sounded like trucks were driving through our room. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Good value for park and stay, and would stay here again.

Rooms are basic but clean and nice and a lot of hot water. Parking is HORRIBLE. Hard go find a spot open in the lots. Had an early morning flight from Logan and two people double parked behind me and I had to contact the front desk to find these people and have them move their cars asap so I wouldn't miss my 545am flight.

Steer clear! All though Day time service was super nice and helpful. The room has a musty smell and is super small, the walls are super thin as well. there was a dirty Q-tips left on the floor, the lamp is broken, the plugs fall out of the outlets on the bathroom. There parking does not accommodate to the number of guests & the lady at the front desk 10/20/23 @10:30 pm was super rude and giving everyone a attitude because we felt uncomfortable illegally parking blocking others in like She said. When i tried to explain to her that she would need my car information to call me if i needed to move. She said no we have it on file in a snarky tone. I then told her she did not because we purchased a rental last minute. She again told me she didnā€™t need my information and i told her that she definitely did. I said can i atleast give you my info she said ā€œif it will make you feel betterā€. Horrible night staff i will be staying here for the weekend and will never be returning.

Good for a very quick stay. This place has free parking. The room we stayed in were ok for a quick sleep. It did had a weird smell. The location is pretty close to the airport about a 5-10min drive. We were also able to drive about 15-20min into Boston to get late night meal. The good thing about this hotel was that it was very cheap.

This was nicest Rodeway Inn Iā€™ve ever stayed in. A great option if you need a place to sleep reasonably close to the airport - it was clean and fairly quiet. If youā€™re using this for parking, I would think again. It appears that guests box each other in and donā€™t leave their keys. We ended up deciding to pay for a nearby garage. Did not attempt the shuttle for our early morning flight after reading previous reviews.

Dear God. This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! First and foremost, they effectively have zero parking. They sell the parking spots to people doing park and fly to the airport. For their actual hotel guests, they make them park 1.5 miles away in a super sketchy lot with pot holes so deep you canā€™t see the bottom behind a burned-out building. Itā€™s like a Mad Max level dystopia out there. Then, they have a shuttle to bring you back to the hotel, but they make you leave your keys ā€œin case they need to move your car.ā€ Why would you need to move my car? It also makes it basically impossible to leave the hotel because the shuttle only runs about once every hour and a half. Nextā€¦ the staff. Only one staff member made an effort to be friendly, and it turns out she started working this week. So I doubt she lasts or at least her positive mood. Finally, the room. The mag strip card keys for the room spontaneously deactivate. We had to have both of our keys recoded. The smoke detector canā€™t possibly work because itā€™s covered with several layers of aluminum foil. The toilet barely flushes - you have to flush at least three times to dispose of a ā€œnumber two.ā€ Weirdly and lastly, all of the swing door handles only open up, not downā€¦ God speed to any unfortunate soul that makes the mistake of staying here.

I travel a lot because of my job. I see a lot of hotels This is one of the worst hotels they rent you a basement. I donā€™t know how this is legal as you can see in the video I couldnā€™t sleep all night because of the cars the highway is next to your window where you sleep this is unbelievable and the hallways smell like someone pee on them. They never clean. This is so disappointing not gonna use this hotel never again Everything was disgusting sheets pillows bathroom too small the lights doesnā€™t work in this hot donā€™t waste your time and money they donā€™t even deserve one star review if there is an option for zero, Iā€™ll give them zero

I drove past this building for years living in lynn massachusetts. Now I am back for a weekend and needed some where to rest my head. The agent booked this room at Rodeway Inn, at first I was sceptical about it but now am in here it's really good. Clean, neat, courtesy of staff is awesome. Close to the airport as well. Of course it's an old building but no one would be able to tell by the way it's maintained. I will definitely stay here next time am in massachusetts

Absolutely the worst place. Do not come here. Had an extreme emergency on behalf of my job and whomever is the front desk worker was extremely rude and nasty . This was at 12:34 a.m. I told the lady that she was being rude and unfortunately I didn't want to move forward with my booking. As I said this, the witch of a woman decides to hang up on my face. Definitely not a great experience , especially under the circumstances. This was very unprofessional and they have lost all of our business .

Wasn't expecting a lot from here--used it as a cheap-ish place close enough to the airport to crash for a night--but it still underperformed. In short: dirty mattress, unsecure location, and unhelpful staff. Dirty mattress: Room seemed clean enough at first glance. I was not expecting a lot for a crash pad. But there were several old blood(?) stains that could be seen under the thin fitted sheet that were concerning. Unsecure location: Again, I booked this place as a crash pad, so I was not expecting Fort Knox. But a few things that threw me were that all of the alternative doors (i.e. not the front entrance) were not hotel card locked, so anyone can stroll in. And, at check in, the front desk person did not ask me anything aside from my name. No ID. No credit card to match the reservation. Nothing but a name. Unhelpful staff: Booked directly on Choice Hotel's website for a 2 double bed room, but received a King bed due to an apparent glitch or such. When I inquired about changing, the front desk gave an ambiguous response. "Maybe it's possible to switch rooms. My manager is right outside. I'll text him. What room are you in? I'll give you a call when he comes back in." After a half an hour wait, no call. I went and got dinner and a total of two hours later, no message was waiting on the room phone. Upon follow-up, I was abruptly told, "Yes, the manager was here. No, you can't switch." Never got to speak with this illusive manager in person. Also, small addition, when I asked about the nearest ATM, since some phone troubles didn't allow me to look it up for myself, the front desk was unhelpful, offering no assistance. Simply: "Sorry, I don't know. I'm not from around here." Which yes, granted, I understand and it's probably not the most common request but please, at least offer to Google it for me!

We actually used to this place to park our car for two weeks. Very reasonably priced, great service. Highly recommend

Does not offer simple services that most hotels now offer. Walls are very thin. I heard many arguments (and also the making up). Not bad if you just need a place to sleep and won't be spending too much time in room. NO ELEVATOR, terrible for disabled. Difficult to get necessities like towels, extra blanket, etc . On the plus side, the employees are very nice and are willing to help with whatever they can. Julia was especially helpful. They need to do a lot to bring it up to a 3 star standard. I'd say 2 star but the girls at the front desk get 4 1/2 stars from me.

Good for what you pay for. Rooms are kind of small surrounding area is a bit sketchy but everyone is helpful, and there's no real issues with any rooms or anything

We used their Logan airport shuttle service through Wave app about one month ago. It was the most terrible customer service I have had in my life ever! We waited one and half hours at the airport for pickup shuttle(already 7am), while keep calling their shuttle phone call but no one picked up. We ended up calling Choice hotel hotline tried all options and then transferred to the person in charge. Without any apology, he didnā€™t feel anything wrong about his job, instead, he blamed us keep calling! What a shame!! I am not surprised to see all these reviews here with similar terrible experiences. Wish I read into them earlier! Share my experience so anyone read here can avoid this horrible place!

It's always important to remember that you get what you pay for. The room is cheep, and if you are looking for an inexpensive place to crash before a flight, it's serviceable. Yes, it's dated. Yes, it smells a little strange. Yes, it's on a busy road thus requiring a cranked fan all night. But, you can stay there for a week for what it costs for a single night at most area hotels.

A terrible experience. I would have been better off sleeping in my car. The parking is an absolute nightmare. There is about 15 spots and if you canā€™t get one, they park your car in some lot off site and you have to leave your keys with them. ā€œLuckilyā€ we squeezed our car next to someoneā€™s window where the dumpsters are stored. When we were checking in they somehow misplaced someoneā€™s car and the guy waited over a hour for them to locate it. Once we finally got into our room, no sleep was accrued. You could hear the woman at the front desk yelling until we left at 5:30am. The cherry on top of this whole experience is that we were changed twice. We were actually charged for a day before we got there, and you can imagine how itā€™s currently going to receive this refund. The room itself was decent. Other than the bathroom light not working, the windows were open, and the neighborhood is questionable, decent.

I left my work planner in my room on Nov 19, 2023. It was found the same day by Frank (front desk). I called the hotel twice on 11/20 and 11/21. Spoke with Jasmine and Emori. Both were aware of said planner, and that I was trying to reach management to pay to have this overnighted. However my messages went unanswered. It has now been 2 weeks, my calls are forwarded straight to voicemail, and I have no work planner. I would hate to see how a more pressing issue is handled by anyone working here-except Frank!-as this was something that simply could have been added to outgoing mail. Very disappointed this is how guests are treated when having forgotten something (and so minute). After Frank was kind enough to help find it for me, and seemed certain it could be sent back to me.

Quite possibly the worst parking experience. Shuttle from BOS took 45+ min from the call to pickup. It took 4 calls to get through and another 10 to confirm they were still on their way after 20+ min (after being told 10-15 min originally). Picked up and dropped off in satellite lot. Car was not there. I was asked to find my keys in a basket. After searching the lot for my car, we drove back to the hotel to find the car there. Will never be parking here again after the 1.5 hours wasted on a Sunday.

For an unplanned overnight stay in Boston due to a missed flight connection, this Rodeway Inn provided an adequate accommodation. Airport Shuttle was a big plus. Lisa at front desk was very nice. Cleanliness was decent. Comfortable bed. Main attraction was price, as other hotels near the airport are much more expensive, and I was at my trip budget limit already. But there were some obvious issues: No remote for the TV. A plastic cup in the bathroom would have been nice. Empty tissue box. Just basic attention to details type stuff.

Got the place for under 80$ a night, great deal. Room and bathroom were clean. Microwave and ice available in the hall. Check in and room service ladies were nice. Not any louder than any other hotel on street level honestly.

Omg. The front desk manager is the WORST EVER!! Rude, disrespectful, unhelpful and clearly dealing with some anger issues. She didnā€™t seem to know how to work the credit card machine. She debited and credited mine and my friendā€™s credit cards 9 times and we were still overcharged! No receipt, email or verbal explanation for the charges. WHOLLY UNPROFESSIONAL

Everything is great except for our sticky room door. We had to mess around with the handle a little even after slotting our card in the reader, to get the door to open. But the room looks fabulous and itā€™s very cozy and clean. The front desk greeter was very friendly and the place was decorated for fall and smelled amazing! Would love to know what plug in scent they were using. Overall I would definitely stay here again. Well worth the price we are paying! :)

Had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. Not one of their employees was professional or knowledgeable. They were rude, disrespectful and eventually hung up on me after refusing to assist with a simple cancellation issue. I had to call Choice to get any kind of help after our travel plans were interrupted because our flight was cancelled. It is unlikely that I will ever book a room with any hotel associated with this one. I canā€™t say enough how terrible this experience was. DO NOT book with them.

I didn't expect much of this room when I booked it. I wanted a close place to stay by the airport with a shuttle in. The shuttle service was convenient with no difficulties either direction. However, a few things to note- the pictures depict ground floor entrances. There were stairs in with no accessible ramps. I asked about an accessible entrance and was told there was none. The bed was definitely uncomfortable but we survived, the blinds did not block out the light in the morning, the coffee machine was down with no coffee makers in the room. Just be aware of the lack of amenities and comforts if you choose to stay here.

I seldom write negative reviews. I try to find the good, but this place was a real challenge. Good 1. Room appeared to be clean, but there was a dead spider in the shower and hair ball on bathroom floor. Expect a scorching hot shower with no cold water, and a minimal water flow. 2. The front desk lady was pleasant but overworked ,trying to fix booking problems with Park/Sleep and Fly. 3. Convenient with airport shuttle and the driver was efficient and pleasant. Bad 1. The place is run down, carpets are dirty, the shade in my room would not lower so I needed to put a towel over the window for privacy. One of the lights in the room didn't work. The TV did not work. 2. I do not like leaving my car key at the desk for the parking. It's hard to trust someone to drive my car to the lot. And not knowing where the location is, definitely doesn't help. Wherever that may be! It's definitely overpriced for the quality!!! I will not recommend or stay here again.

Double bed room had one bath towel and a bar of soap big enough for two showers. (We were travelling as a family.) Shower had no pressure, roll-out bed not available. Room had a window air conditioner with paper towels in the (dirty) filter, no (available) parking on-site, shuttle to off-site parking runs hourly. City doesn't allow street parking without a permit. You still have to pay a $15 tourism fee per room.

Be careful because adds say they have microwaves and refrigerators and we didn't get either. Told I would get a king bed and when I showed up the only room with a king bed available the tv didn't work. They also say they have free coffee but really they don't have even that. I felt like this whole setup was like a bait and switch. You can see where they have been trying to fix the rooms up but the amenities need a lot more work.

Editing to a 3 star from a 2 star because the hotel staff were really nice and friendly. Decent but not great. Parking was quite a hassle but they worked with us. The lady at the front desk was nice and efficient. Tons of stains on carpet and chairs in common so it gave a nasty appearance. The room had a VERY strong smell, like they were trying to cover up from someone smoking previously. There was NO COFFEE POT IN THE ROOM. How do I pay $200 for a hotel room and have no coffee? No refrigerator either. No extra blankets. There was a microwave but we didn't need that.

We rented a room with a king size bed approximately $200.00+ per night for my son and his fiance for 5 nights. The room was very small, over priced, linen was old, comforter was stained and bathroom was disgusting; worst of all my son and his fiancee were asked to leave the hotel 2 nights before check out due to an emotional outburst because of the death of her mother. Very upsetting. What makes matters even worse the hotel charged us for the Entire 5 nights! Ridiculous. They never returned our numerous phone calls ...still waiting for answers...stay away from this place! It's a dump for the price they charge and the way they treat you, SHAMEFUL! Awful management, they don't care šŸ˜Ŗ

A family member had a personal crisis, was upset, and needed lodging for a week. I paid the hotel for his stay. What did they do? They kicked him out on the streetā€¦ a paying customer who looked like he just went through a difficult personal ordeal because he did. He was sober. He wasnā€™t belligerent and he was a paying customer. What did Lauren do? Literally kicked him out in the cold. Well, another hotel down the street understood that people have hard days and they happily accepted my money so my family member was freezing on the street that night. Lauren literally lied and said she didnā€™t have vacancy. I went on the website, ordered another room and she then was caught lying. Why? A paying customer who wasnā€™t intoxicated or violent was visibly upset. This Christmas season, if you think of the inn keeper in the Bible turning away Joseph and Mary in the cold, think of Lauren at the Rodeway. Who closes doors to those in need (and paying)? Lauren does. Maybe itā€™s a decent stay if youā€™re not having a bad day, but Iā€™ll never know because I wonā€™t give my money to anyone who judges my paying family as riff raff because they had a hard day personally. Do some soul searching this Christmas, Lauren. Your actions reflect poorly on your business and on your character.

Never stayed here before, but only hotel around Logan available last min. Rooms were clean. Lillian went out of her way to help us because our reservation hadn't gone thru the system yet, she answered all our questions and was super cheerful at 11 at night! Her customer service was exceptional. FYI, no coffee in AM or makers in room, clean but scratchy towels, 1 bar of soap for bathroom and rugs could use an update or cleaning. Shuttle to airport was on time, driver helped us with bags and asked if we were comfortable with temp.

  • 5/5 Sara C. 1 year ago on Google
Receptionists were polite and helpful, room is clean, sheets are soft, microwave and fridge work, desk is niceā€¦ everything else with an airport shuttle was heinously expensive. Plus itā€™s relatively walkable to the beach, pharmacy, grocery, several takeout places and other restaurants. Anyway, I found it more than adequate for a place to crash before a flight.

We bought a park & fly package for our 12 day cruise that included a one night stay at this motel. It's an old building right on a busy highway. Literally on the highway. Our room was a small quaint studio apartment setup. The room was very clean. The mattress needs immediate replacement, as you could feel every coil in it. The desk staff was helpful and polite. People with limited mobility will have issues navigating this 3 level building. Suitable for a quick stop. The inn transported our van to the Railroad Street lot for storage. We got an Uber from the cruise terminal to the lot. The personel were courteous and professional. Our van was quickly retrieved and we were on the way back to SC in less than 5 minutes. Inexpensive and seamless.

I had a rather disappointing experience at the Rodeway Inn in Boston. I left my car in their hotel parking lot, expecting a hassle-free experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Upon arrival, I was asked to leave my car keys with the hotel staff, which I did. However, when I returned to pick up my car after my trip, they had moved my car from its original parking spot and, to my dismay, there was visible damage to my vehicle. I immediately brought this issue to the attention of the hotel staff who tried to contact the managers with no successful, hoping for a resolution or at least some assistance in addressing the damage caused to my car. Regrettably, the current manager on duty offered no support or willingness to take responsibility for the incident. I found this lack of customer service and accountability deeply disappointing. It's disheartening to have entrusted my vehicle to a hotel's service and to be met with such negligence and disregard for customer satisfaction. I would caution others considering this service at the Rodeway Inn in Boston to exercise caution and consider alternative options where the safety and security of their vehicles are better ensured. Overall, my experience left me dissatisfied and frustrated, as I was left to deal with the damage to my car on my own, without any cooperation from the hotel.
