Wasn't
expecting
a
lot
from
here--used
it
as
a
cheap-ish
place
close
enough
to
the
airport
to
crash
for
a
night--but
it
still
underperformed.
In
short:
dirty
mattress,
unsecure
location,
and
unhelpful
staff.
Dirty
mattress:
Room
seemed
clean
enough
at
first
glance.
I
was
not
expecting
a
lot
for
a
crash
pad.
But
there
were
several
old
blood(?)
stains
that
could
be
seen
under
the
thin
fitted
sheet
that
were
concerning.
Unsecure
location:
Again,
I
booked
this
place
as
a
crash
pad,
so
I
was
not
expecting
Fort
Knox.
But
a
few
things
that
threw
me
were
that
all
of
the
alternative
doors
(i.e.
not
the
front
entrance)
were
not
hotel
card
locked,
so
anyone
can
stroll
in.
And,
at
check
in,
the
front
desk
person
did
not
ask
me
anything
aside
from
my
name.
No
ID.
No
credit
card
to
match
the
reservation.
Nothing
but
a
name.
Unhelpful
staff:
Booked
directly
on
Choice
Hotel's
website
for
a
2
double
bed
room,
but
received
a
King
bed
due
to
an
apparent
glitch
or
such.
When
I
inquired
about
changing,
the
front
desk
gave
an
ambiguous
response.
"Maybe
it's
possible
to
switch
rooms.
My
manager
is
right
outside.
I'll
text
him.
What
room
are
you
in?
I'll
give
you
a
call
when
he
comes
back
in."
After
a
half
an
hour
wait,
no
call.
I
went
and
got
dinner
and
a
total
of
two
hours
later,
no
message
was
waiting
on
the
room
phone.
Upon
follow-up,
I
was
abruptly
told,
"Yes,
the
manager
was
here.
No,
you
can't
switch."
Never
got
to
speak
with
this
illusive
manager
in
person.
Also,
small
addition,
when
I
asked
about
the
nearest
ATM,
since
some
phone
troubles
didn't
allow
me
to
look
it
up
for
myself,
the
front
desk
was
unhelpful,
offering
no
assistance.
Simply:
"Sorry,
I
don't
know.
I'm
not
from
around
here."
Which
yes,
granted,
I
understand
and
it's
probably
not
the
most
common
request
but
please,
at
least
offer
to
Google
it
for
me!
