A treasure in Newton. Great geology, nice trails, and quite vast for being in the city. Nice place to take an afternoon walk if you don't want to drive all the way out to Central Mass.

A hidden gem, in the area. Great for a small 1 hour get away from the city feel. Small elevation changes, new england rocks protrude from the ground. Well marked trails (most of them). Went on a Monday morning, and saw one other person. Low foot traffic, small bouldering area. I am glad i found this place for the stressful days.

Fabulous little conservation area for bouldering. Great for kids if it’s dry.

Beautiful public woods with diverse landscapes. Swamps, brooks, vernal pools, rocky Highlands and cliffs. Also an interesting old dam. You can hike right through to Houghton Garden.

A hidden urban gem tucked away out of sight and hard to get to. Well worth the hunt if you need a forest to cleanse your mind. Seek and you will find.

Webster Conservation Area is simply fantastic. Well-marked and well-trodden paths; a great mix of dense foliage, boulders, a stream and a couple of ponds; and great areas to hammock. I walk these woods thrice weekly, or more. Just make sure to look both ways - and wave to commuters - when crossing the T's Green D line track that segments the woods from Houghton Garden.

Love the tranquility, the early morning sun and the evening sunset. The pristine snow in winter and the golden fall leaves in fall. Cannot wait to see the spring.

I have lived within 3 miles of these woods for close to 45 years and never knew they were open to the public or had walking trails. Webster Woods is a small, natural forest area. It has trails to walk, many trees, a bench (or two) and lots of mosquitoes. Overall it is a really beautiful place. I just wish I had know about it years ago.

Great bouldering and rock climbing! Very beginner friendly bouldering, safe landings, lots of v0-v3s, and easy to get to from cars

Great trail walking, but very buggy during the summer!
