Kickass bar, awesome vaporwave aesthetic, and great people. This place has amazing cocktails, but you're going to stay because of the food. The ever-changing menu is based on locally sourced ingredients which keeps me coming back for more. It was hard for me to leave a review because I've been here a dozens of times and the menu is so seasonal... I always judge a place based on the burger. Theirs is consistently good and everything from patty to bun is made in-house. You literally cannot go wrong with anything here. And the front-of-house service is just as good. Appetizers are always great. My current favorite is the roasted bone marrow, but the mussels are also a close second. Right now my favorite entree is the Gyro, and you can't go wrong with the chicken or the falafel. As far as drinks go, all you have to do is ask the bartender for some advice for a drink. They'll ask you a series of 2-3 questions and craft you something amazing. I keep trying to order everything on their menu but every time I go they seem to have something new! But they're always willing to make me something off-menu that I had in the past. Zack and Erin are awesome bartenders.

Came as a party of 8 and ordered every appetizer dish to share, as well as a few entrees. Everything was delicious! The shishito peppers and deviled eggs were actually spicy, and the Caesar salad nicely dressed! My personal favorites are the salmon tartare, which paired very well with the plantain crisps, and the friend pickles (just like dill chips)! Service was very friendly and fast. I would definitely come back again.

Even if the drinks weren’t incredible and the food wasn’t *chef’s kiss,* I’d come back all the time simply because of the staff. The staff are fun, funny, and welcoming people who want to assure that you have a good time and that you enjoy your order. The staff create inventive and decadent cocktails and take time to get to know you. They do a great job creating an environment that you want to come back to with food and drink that are hard to resist. 10/10 would recommend.

Food- amazing. Staff- so friendly. This place is a hidden gem that is bound to be uncovered any second. Would have taken a picture of the wife’s burger but it was gone before I had the chance

Sep 2023: Came here on a Friday night around 8pm. Got seated immediately. Place was full and lively with music playing in the background. Ordered a few of their cocktails which were excellent; especially the mezcal one. Ordered the Maine Crab Gnocchi and the Salmon entrees and both were excellent, although the Gnocchi was the best.

The main bartender was extremely condescending and rude when I was asking about a certain drink/spirit (Thursday - 1/26/23 @ 7pm.) He essentially was making fun of me for not having deep knowledge of alcohol and spirits to the point where he was aggressively questioning me when I was just asking what they had so that I could try something new…it was embarrassing and very awkward. I absolutely would not recommend this place based on this interaction.

This place is amazing the owner is a delight. I don't write a lot of reviews I only write them if I feel the need for someone to experience the place. Found this place traveling back to Boston to fly out. Everything about this place is amazing the food, the ambience, we sat for many hours just letting the owner and bar keep use their imagination and making me anything their hearts desired it didn't disappoint. Every drink kept getting better and better. talk to Matt he will take the time to make you feel at home. How ever your mood is he's able to adjust and make you laugh. If you want to drink your sorrow away he's got you if you want story time he's got you. If you want banter in any way shape or form he's got you. You have to check out all the bathrooms. He has put a lot of time and personal touches and thoughts into this. Tell him the southerner's sent you . You will get a laugh I promise.

Amazing spot! Absolutely everything, food and drink, is hand crafted. The flavors they choose are extremely intentional. Their menu is always evolving, but I trust their chef will always have something new and delicious for you to try @amp_eats (instagram and Facebook)

Outstanding experience! Greeting upon arrival, drink, food and service a 10! The chef came out to meticulously discuss food ingredients when I asked for no sugar/carbs. SO AWESOME! My meal was scrumptious!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Idle Hour. Their staff catered to our party of maybe 30 people along with the other guests. The food was amazing, the drinks were on point, and everyone had a great time. Thank you again, Mat and team!

Honestly that duck just blew my mind. Crunchy skin, and the meat was super tender. The gnocchi was another favourite, melted in my mouth.

The owner was at the door to greet and get us seated. I sat at the bar and the bartender, who was very welcoming, took my drink order. He then came by again to take my food order. I ordered the hanger steak. It was prepared medium rare as I ordered and it was delicious. Best I ever had. I also had the Brussel sprouts and the ricotta pancakes. Both did not disappoint. I look forward to going back. I recommend Idle Hour highly. Don’t miss out.

Everything we ate was just amazing. My favorites were the duck and the salmon. We brought two small kids and they loved everything as well. I appreciate their passion for good ingredients. The service was exceptional and our server made our dinner enjoyable and memorable. Definitely recommend to all of food lovers.

That was our second time there, but we should have been back sooner since 1st time was great. That's a nice atmosphere with great service, all the staff was friendly and always there when we needed. The food is really good like a 4.5, but the highlight are the cocktails. Combining with our 1st visit, we already tried like 4 different options, and they were all amazing. We had the burrito which taste better than it looks, the burger has a sauce that's phenomenal, my wife had Salmon and loved it. We even tried the desserts, which are quite big and could easily be shared. The plantains were delicious with the dulce the leche, while the chocolate is the only dish I'd rate lower than 4. We'll definitely go back, and suggest everyone to give it a try!

Whether you come here for a burger, salad, starter or entree, it will always be good and the service will always be great. Drinks are a plus.

I came in 3/26 for dinner with my mother and we sat at the bar. We were initially greeted quickly and ordered drinks and an app- both of which arrived quickly. We then sat for half an hour at the bar with an empty drink and empty appetizer plate without any service. There were 6 people at the bar and the bartender was discussing bourbons with 2 guests without so much as looking in our direction. The bar back walked past multiple times and never acknowledged us until we put our card down to leave without having ordered entrees or more drinks as we'd intended. The menu looked really nice- I wish we'd gotten to enjoy it. Probably the worst service experience I've had all year.

Love this place! Drinks are great, I live locally so we come often. The vibes are good, they usually have the games on the TV. The only thing is something has changed with their pancakes and it’s dense. It used to be soo good but has recently changed and is not edible. Everything else is really good so I’m really confused about why the pancakes are so bad!

We were here for brunch, and the food (a bacon, egg, and cheddar sandwich with home fries for me, and buttermilk pancakes for my partner) was delicious and felt and tasted like home cooking. The service was great: friendly, relaxed, and efficient. When we were there at least (a bit past peak brunch time on a Sunday) it wasn’t crowded. We’ll be back!

The food was absolutely delicious and extremely fresh! They make everything from scratch and source their ingredients from local farms. The atmosphere is modern and trendy and the staff is super nice and attentive. I can’t wait to go back again!

great vibes, with super chic and upbeat decor. friendly bartenders and a mixed crowd of customers. this place would be great for meeting a group of friends for drinks and a small snack. only complaint is that i wish there was more variety when it came to the house cocktails!

Went for Brunch, very short menu... don't trust brunch menus online. Good bacon, eggs were scrambled after they were fried but, still tasty. Not the best place as breakfast option.

Small place with a fun menu. Small plates with big flavor The dunk wings had great flavor. The beet salad was not what we expected, large cubes of beets with sauce and a few seeds sprinkled on top. I wasn't very happy with it. The steak plate was delicious the steak was cooked great, the fries were crispy and thinner. We also tried the fried plantains and we didn't think they were great. The sauce was a caramel sauce but the plantains had a burnt taste.

It was my first time at idle table. The wait staff were very accommodating. I didn’t however care for menu. Only 5 choices. I like a menu with more than 5 choices and i did not like any of them so I had pasta and butter. I asked for bread and butter but apparently they don’t serve that here. She offered cornbread so I said sure but the cornbread cost $22. Most places give you cornbread and a variety of breads. Not this place. Our meal took over an hour which I think is long. In general I was dissatisfied with the food and the lack of things that I would’ve liked to of had like a bigger menu and faster service. I won’t ne returning!
