I took a detour off Dandenong Creek Trail and discovered a fairly vast wetland along the bicycle/walking trail. The trail adjourns to Eastlink close to a BP petrol station and food kiosks. I spotted a black swan and other native birds in the body of water. The trail itself is popular with cyclists but not too congested. Definitely lots to explore on foot or bike in this edge of suburbia.

Beautiful wetland, large and spacious with plenty of natural sights. The paths were mostly paved and flat so an easy walk or cycle. Great to be out in the open and feeling the wind in your hair! Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here and will likely be back again. Love to see nature conservation at work. There were ducks there, too!

A great place to walk, lots of bird life to see so bring your camera. Park at Jells park and follow the path towards Ferntree Gully rd and then walk under the road. Keep walking for about 1.5km and take the pathto the left over the bridge.

The new concrete bike trail will take you through the park in a few minutes. But why not take to the gravel paths and enjoy an extended tour around the lakes. There is a variety of bird life to observe, specially early in the day; bring your binoculars!

Great walking tracks. It's also a bike track nice and wide.

Dangerous after rain easily flooded

Love this place, very often can see ibis birds and other birds around the area.

If you are looking for a peaceful and nice track to have a long walk, I would strongly suggest it, since there is a subway which connects wetlands to jells park and from the other side it links to a service station with maccas and hungry jack that comes handy if you need to eat or use toilet .

Great birdwatching area. Considering how close this is to East Link, very pleasant walking tracks give a feeling of open space.

Many people say that life isn't like a bed of roses. I beg to differ. I think that life is quite like a bed of roses. Just like life, a bed of roses looks pretty on the outside, but when you're in it, you find that it is nothing but thorns and pain. I myself have been pricked quite badly. The day had begun on a bright note. The sun finally peeked through the rain for the first time in a week, and the birds were singing in its warmth. There was no way to anticipate what was about to happen. It was a worst-case scenario and there was no way out of it.
