The setting is beautiful.. on the shores of Bhadrakali lake and next to a gaunt rock. The statue of goddess is so bright and beautiful, that the image will last forever in memories. The cute little statue of Adi Sankara teaching his disciples... sort of hanging out of the rock is amazing. There is goshala inside the premises. Must watch if you are swinging by Warangal.. easily accessible.. in the heart of the city.

The Badrakali Temple in Warangal is a divine sanctuary that seamlessly blends spirituality, history, and architectural splendor. This ancient Hindu temple, dedicated to Goddess Badrakali, stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Warangal and the grandeur of Kakatiya dynasty. My visit to this temple was a journey into the heart of Telangana's history and faith. First and foremost, the Badrakali Temple is a striking architectural masterpiece. The temple's structure is a blend of Chalukyan and Kakatiya styles, showcasing intricate carvings and a stunning torana (arch) at the entrance. The temple's distinctive feature is its star-shaped platform, which adds an aura of mystique and uniqueness to the temple complex. It's hard not to be awed by the intricate stonework and sculptures that adorn the temple. The temple's spiritual ambiance is profound. The main deity, Goddess Badrakali, is worshipped with immense devotion. The sanctum sanctorum exudes an aura of serenity and devotion, making it an ideal place for seekers of solace and inner peace. The temple is well-maintained, and the priests are friendly and willing to offer insights into the temple's history and rituals. One of the highlights of my visit was the vibrant festivals celebrated at the Badrakali Temple. The grand celebration of Navaratri is a spectacle to behold, with colorful processions, traditional music, and dance performances. The energy and devotion during these festivals are infectious and offer a truly authentic cultural experience. The temple's location also adds to its charm. Nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking a serene lake, the setting is picturesque. It's a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowing visitors to connect with nature and spirituality simultaneously. My only point of concern during my visit was the crowd, especially during peak festival times. The temple can get quite crowded, making it challenging to have a quiet and meditative experience. However, this is a testament to the temple's popularity and importance in the region. In conclusion, the Badrakali Temple in Warangal is a significant historical and spiritual gem that should not be missed by anyone visiting the region. Its architectural beauty, spiritual atmosphere, and cultural significance make it a must-visit destination. Whether you are a history enthusiast, a devotee, or just someone seeking a serene getaway, the Badrakali Temple has something to offer to everyone. I would highly recommend a visit to this splendid temple to explore the history and spirituality that is deeply rooted in the heart of Warangal.

This temple of Bhadrakali is one of the most established sanctuaries for Goddess Bhadrakali, arranged on a ridge between the two urban communities of Hanamkonda and Warangal. Many other dieties like lord Ganesha, hanuman, Shiva, and valli subramanya swamy are worshipped here. Beautiful lakd and mountain besides the temple. Very well maintained. Not commercial

The temple is build next to the lake. Goddess Bhadrakali statue is never enough to watching. There is a small man made pond which has some fishes. The area is huge around the temple. During festival it is full. There are vendors outside selling flowers, garlands to offer Goddess. Be careful with transaction.
