I gave rating of 5 as its more tick in a box. I can never rate such a beautiful place, it's indeed one of the finest marvel declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Absolutely a delight to spend time at this place. Every step you take once you enter the temple premises leaves you mesmerized. I was just thinking how did one carve such a marvel. Truly amazing. Lord Shiva Linga's are huge, and when I say huge indeed. They are like 6 to 7 feet hight. Ceiling, Walls, Floor, every bit of it is worth spending some quality time. Road to this place is good and you will not have any difficulty reaching the place. It will be good if you can pack some food and enjoy as a picnic too. But be very careful not inside or nearer to temple as you will find enough monkeys waiting to attack. And if you ask me, why would they attack, my answer is as they are monkeys, they will... 😆😀

Amazing Architecture!! The Temple is beautifully made. It is a living temple and daily worship is performed by the priest. There are no entry fees for visiting this temple. I highly recommend going in the morning or evening hours, The afternoons are very hot and you won't enjoy it as much. There are many stalls before the temple selling snacks and drinks and other items for children like toys etc. It is a perfect getaway for families.

I would be the last to review this place. This is a historic place and UNESCO recently recognized it too. The architecture is amazing and cannot be described in words. If government can maintain it a little bit more nicely then this would be a huge tourist attraction.

The temple is standing and full of amazing sculptures. Every inch of the place is worth your attention and time. There is lot of space outside the temple for your picnic gathering. Your visit will be full of wonderment, nothing less.

Situated at around 66 kms from warangal. Ramalingeswara temple which is popularly known as Ramappa Temple was built in 1213 AD. It was built during the reign of Kakatiya kingdom. Dedicated to Lord Ramalingeswara, it is the said to be the only temple in the country which is known by the name of its sculptor / maker, whose name was Ramappa A must visit place in warangal district... Now under the administration of The Archaeological Survey of India, this temple presents a glimpse into the glorious past of this region and Kakatiya rule. Presently, there are cottages by the side by the lake side along with restaurant, which have been set up by the tourism department. Hence, you can explore this beautiful temple and the surrounding areas at leisure and later spend a relaxed time at the cottages built by tourism department of the state

Ramappa Temple is one of oldest temple in India was built in 13th century (800-old) and still intact today because the temple was constructed in sandbox technology. A three-meter-deep foundation is dug at the temple construction site and filled with sand. Take care to keep it always moist. The temple was built by stacking stones on the sand. We should proud for the technology used during that time. Recently Temple is inscribed as a World Heritage Site. This will lead opportunities for the temple development. Worth visit temple. One of the surprises, the temple was built with bricks, which are so lightweight and they are able to float on water. We had been to the temple many times. We feel satisfaction and mental fresh when we are in this temple premises.

Ramappa temple ia an ancient architecture marvel created and constructed by Recharla Rudra around 1213 CE (Common era). He belongs to Kakatiya dynasty of warangal. Originally the temple name is Rudreshwara temple but as it was built on the shores of mighty Ramappa tank, it was christined as Ramappa temple. The temple is a true specimen of stone architecture marvel and recently it was recognized as UNESCO World heritage site. There is a boundary wall around the temple and the temple of lord shiva stands tall at the centre. Opposite to it there is big platform with erected walls and a huge nandi statue of hard black dolerite stone and all the sculptures of the temple are made up of the same stone. On to the left side of the temple there is another chariot shaped stone structure is present which seats inside the Sivalinga with dampy sorroundings. To the extreme left we will find the remnants of the temple structure ruins of the past invasions. On the back side of the main temple, which is the main entrance from the road we can sit and enjoy on the lengthy green lawns with single specimen trees here and there. You can find several eateries and toy shops outside the temple and you can have the mesmerizing view of the huge Ramappa lake and enjoy boating. To reach there you have to travel 2km approx from the temple entrance place. This temple is at a distance of 66 from Warangal and 210 km from Hyderabad. The roads are express highways till mulugu and from there you will travel through state highway with good maintenance. One can cover Ramappa temple laknavaram lake sammakka saralamma temple pasra forest drive and Boghata water falls in a day drive if you start by 6 from Hyderabad. Overall a best 1-2 days outing for a family. Thank you.

Kakatiya Rudeswara Temple or Popularly known as Ramappa Temple is located in Mulugu, Telangana This temple is a very old temple with 1000+ year old heritage and history. Lord Shiva and Nandi are in the temple and you can see my pictures which are attached below to see the architecture of our ancestors. Very advanced and precision maintained to achieve an amazing finish. If you're near Warangal district and want to experience history this is the place to be. This place opens at 9 AM and Closed at 5PM. You can visit the place for free but there's a parking fee of Rs.50.I

Travel: The journey to reach Ramappa temple was not chaotic and could be embraced with serenity of the greenery. The parking space was available for four-wheelers and shouldn't be an issue during peak season. Destination: As soon as you enter the premises, you will be astounded by the beauty of the structure. And with lush grasses surrounded by it, the structure holds a very brilliant view. The arena of the temple was embarking in its sculpture all around it, with different arrangement of the main temple, nandi, and few others. The main temple was filled with different styles, poses, and idols of various gods and kings of that era. It also happens to have different centre (inside the temple) with four directions of huge blocks in a see-saw structure. It also had two different figurines of gods and goddesses in each corner of the temple. Amenities: Frankly I was astonished with the upgraded amenities provided in the main area. With wheelchair accessible washroom and place maintained with cleanliness, it ranks highly in providing facilities for tourists. Although they should consider having a hoarding to not let this beautiful historical structure be destroyed by public. Summary: Relish in our heritage with this iconic temple, and take utmost care in maintaining its beauty.

A true marvel of engineering and a must visit in the state if you are interested in seeing incredible architecture. The intricate details and carvings on the temple sides and within the temple are really impressive as well. It is crazy to think that this was all hand carved almost a 1000 years ago.

Devine & peaceful Nature and with a great 3D architecture The Ramappa Temple is a 13th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, located in the Palampet village of Telangana, India. It is one of the most important temples of the Kakatiya dynasty, and is known for its intricate architecture and beautiful sculptures. The temple was built by the architect Ramappa, under the patronage of the Kakatiya ruler Ganapati Deva. It is a large temple, with a main hall that is 100 feet long and 60 feet wide. The walls of the hall are decorated with intricate carvings, depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. The ceiling of the hall is supported by 100 pillars, each of which is carved with a different design.

I have been fascinated about the property since it was included in UNESCO heritage list last year. An architectural marvel, relatively explored during our visit in Oct 2022. The carvings are beautiful. A must for anyone visiting Warangal. The place is not wheel chair accessible, there are few stairs or steps there are washrooms provided, entry is free as of Oct 2022

Much more could be done by government especially to bring awareness about the greatness of this ancient temple to the general public. Much more research to be done to unearth the technologies of those times, which is not only mystical but also magical to present day masses

Direct transport from warangal is not there to this temple. You need to reach Mulugu and from their you can heir jeep our auto where they charge 300rs. Temple premises are well maintained. It has toilets and I see one elder person coming in wheel chair. There are guides to explain the history and importance of each artifact in the temple. Many people are confusing between Ramappa temple and thousand pillar temple in warangal town because of similar architecture.. Transport facilities should be improved.

Ramappa Temple, also known as the Rudreshwara temple, is a Kakatiya style Hindu temple dedicated to the god Shiva, located in Telangana, India. It is 15 km (9.3 mi) from Mulugu, 66 km (41 mi) from Warangal, 209 km (130 mi) from Hyderabad. An inscription in the temple says it was constructed in the year 1213 CE by Recharla Rudra—a General of Kakatiya ruler Ganapati Deva 1199–1262. Located in the vicinity of Ramappa Lake, the Ramappa Temple complex which consist of three temples was constructed between 1212 and 1234, designed and architect by Ramappa—after whom the temple complex is named. Marco Polo, during his visit to the Kakatiya empire, supposedly called the temple "the brightest star in the galaxy of temples". Ramappa Temple stands majestically on a 6-foot (1.8 m) high star-shaped platform. The hall in front of the sanctum has numerous carved pillars that have been positioned to create an effect that combines light and space wonderfully. The temple is named after the sculptor Ramappa, who built it, making it the only temple in India to be named after its craftsman. The main structure is in a reddish sandstone, but the columns round the outside have large brackets of black basalt which is rich in iron, magnesium and silica. These are carved as mythical animals or female dancers or musicians, and are "the masterpieces of Kakatiya art, notable for their delicate carving, sensuous postures and elongated bodies and heads". On 25 July 2021, the temple was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as "Kakatiya Rudreshwara (Ramappa) Temple, Telangana.

The Temple is so special in architecture that it has been inscribed upon the World Heritage Site, but the pathetic part is visitors touch every sculpture around the premises; through such malpractices the existence of such valuable treasure of our country might be threatened (like the painting of Ajanta caves) in near future. The maintenance authority should be more strict to save this valuable property of India.

Nice sculptures! peace full devotional place. Many years ago, a humble stone cutter fell in love with the princess of Rameshvaram and built this temple to express his devotion.⁣ Thousands of people come from all over India to pay their respects and seek blessings from this holy place. When you visit Rameshvaram, be sure to explore this magnificent monument.

A UNESCO heritage site. Maintained very well with good lawns on the walkway to temple and with necessary amenities of water etc. Architecture is good . Guides are available at the location. Photography is allowed inside but restricted to not take the photo of Lord Shiva . This temple withstood earthquakes and the bottom huge beams can be seen that they are inclined and protruded from the ground due to the earthquake.

The temple’s sculptures of high artistic quality illustrate regional dance customs and Kakatiyan culture. This temple has musical pillars, lightweight bricks floating in the water, sandbox technology to withstand earthquakes, beautifully carved dancers, and ornamental nandi can be seen here.

Hats off to the craftsman. Only Indian Temple to be known after its craftsman name, Ramappa. It's a Siva temple. Completed this sculptures in 13th century. Its got a star shape. Made of pink stones n black stones. Near to it, one lake is there, Ramappa Lake. Built by Kakatiyar dynasty. It's very big than Laknavaram lake. Water also neat. Boating also awesome. Not known to public much. So not crowded also. Even we can have bath in the lake.

Well maintained ancient temple. Sculptures and construction is amazing, eye catching and interesting. People working there are well knowledged about the temple and history.. A must visit weekend getaway from Hyderabad. My only request to the visitors is "kindly respect the history and prominence of the temple and stop phtographing the places where it is prohibited to".

It's an architecture wonder and I am glad that I visited this place. About the place: It is near to small hills. The road to reach the temple is not so great. Maintenance at the temple surroundings is satisfactory. About the Temple: The temple architecture is a Marvel. It is completely built using only stones and it is rightly named after it's architecture Ramappa. Of all the temples I visited in my life it is the only temple having entry points in three sides and on fourth side Garbha Gudi(Lingam). The size of the Lingam is ~1.5 meters. This is the biggest I have seen. Who will like this: Those who admire architecture and enjoy the Indian Heritage. What else is there near by: There is a Ramappa lake ~1km from the temple (the road is not in good condition). This is also a good place to visit and enjoy the boating. Any Restaurants: There is a restaurant near the lake and it's an average one. I personally feel government can manage it better, so that tourism will be increased.

Ramappa temple recently recognised by UNESCO as a world heritage site, located in Telangana (15kms from mulugu, 66km from Warangal and 209km from Hyderabad) It was a great experience when visited the place and was excited to view the sculpture and art work of temple pillars where we can see every detailing on the walls and pillars of temple. Best part is that not only we can visit the temple we have boating over there which costs around 350/- rs for four members and also for staying we have Harita lake view resorts with a river view.
