It’s a good restaurant, with good ambiance. We liked their cocktails, appetizers were good in taste. The most important part was their price. They were very reasonable and not too expensive. With the taste which they served and price on their menu is completely worth it. I recommend trying their Veg Manchurian, Cocktails, Kale Chat, Fried rice and Naan. The main course Mix veg curry was average. If you try eating meat side dishes. Should their Dumplings ( Chicken ) and fried rice . Recommend by my friends. Overall thumbs up for Cocktails and reasonably priced dishes.

I treated my Aunt and Uncle to lunch today to celebrate their birthdays. We had a very pleasant meal. The restaurant was fairly empty...not surprising as it was a Tuesday and we came by pretty late after we voted. We ordered some chicken and lamb Dumplings for appetizers. They were served with a tomato chutney. The chutney had a nice hit of spice. For mains, I ordered the rack of Lamb and a butter naan, my aunt got the Rogan Josh lamb bowl and my Uncle, who can't eat spicy food anymore, ordered the chicken chow mein. I've been to this restaurant before and found the food good--but today it was really good. Every dish was delicious and we enjoyed our meal. For dessert, they ordered the rice pudding. I had a bite and liked it. Would be happy to go again.

Very impressed with this restaurant tucked away in a part of Alexandria I've never seen before. They take their food very seriously and the staff is on top of everything. The naan is hot and fresh. The butter chicken is classic, and on the sweet side. The kale chaat is excellent. Overall a very impressive neighbor restaurant.

I always walk around this area and decided to finally try it out with my best friend..WOW! We got the orange shrimp, chicken rolls and the chicken Briyani pot. W O W! From flavor to portion sizes this place is GREAT! Service is very nice but man the food is good. I will come back with my parents. Delicious is an understatement!

Great food through & through! Every dish we had was delicious with authentic flavors. Entrées were very fulfilling. Good atmosphere; it can get a bit loud with a only a few tables. Service was welcoming & attentive.Topnotch on the cleanliness. Amazing overall and highly recommended for an Indo-Asian cuisine.

IndoChen has a new location on King Street in Alexandria, VA. The staff was very attentive and hospitable. The food was delicious! I really enjoyed the cocktails, especially the Spicy Centric Margarita.

The food was delicious! I ordered the samosa appetizer and the butter chicken for my entree. Each dish brought forth the nostalgia of these classic dishes while also having a unique flavor that made the dishes fresh and delightful! We also ordered the pork appetizer, which was equally as flavorful. So tender and delicious. And the naan was delightful — fluffy and perfectly fried! The restaurant’s location is stellar, only a short walk from the King St. metro, and the restaurant is beautiful inside. It is tastefully decorated, from the decor to the water glasses to the dinner plates! We also had a very attentive server, which was the icing on the cake! We will be back!

I ordered the pork ribs for two and garlic naan for takeout, and wow it’s a lot of food! The portions could definitely serve three people and not just two. The food was freshly prepared and well packaged for take away, which I appreciated. While pork ribs aren’t the main attraction at Indochen, I have to say that I recommend it highly for repeat customers. The meat was tender and soft, and the fried rice had a mix of vegetables, eggs, and more. I ordered food for take out, but the restaurant was brightly lit and large. The staff were quick to answer my questions and ensured that my order was ready. Indochen also has a separate dining area sectioned off for private parties.

The food was incredibly good. Indian & Asian inspired dishes. You will leave very full with take away for the next day. We ordered two entrees, tandoori chicken and butter chicken. I saw other reviews raving about the kale chaat so we started with that. It was tasty and did not disappoint. We were also brought a sample of the rice pudding. I will not lie, I was full and still indulged. The pudding was really nice, creamy with a hint of rose water and topped with toasted coconut. The naan bread was light and airy. I don’t normally overindulge on bread but this was worth it. Highly recommend Indochen. This may be our new favorite place. They also have a location on King street in Old Town. They also have a nice cocktail menu. The cocktails looked lovely. Will have to try next time.

Great service and very delicious Indo Chinese fusion meal. We ordered a variety items from their menu and every single item tasted very good. So glad we found this little gem in Alexandria. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Atmosphere was great and service was good but I think they could improve their foods. First off, expected this restaurant to have more fusion dishes but it was more of an Indian restaurant with some Chinese dishes. Presentation was great but some of the flavors missed the mark: - pork belly was outstanding! - samosas were good with good sauces - chili chicken was way too spicy and so much so that they ruined the tastes of other dishes. The taste was ok and maybe this batch had too many seeds, but I don't know if I would recommend - butter chicken was wayyyy too sweet and chicken was overcooked. Couldn't recommend Will have to try other dishes and will update review accordingly

The best Indian food I have gotten around Virginia so far. The meat was so tender and flavorful. A good portion of biryani and the butter chicken was so buttery that it reminded me of Delhi in India. Inviting ambiance with plenty of sitting and a big bar area. Parking is little hard to find because it gets full due to park next to it. ***MUST VISIT ***

This is our favorite neighborhood Indian fix. Lamb roganjosh is amazing, as is biryani, garlic Naan and butter chicken. Service is always nice and professional. Pictured, tonight's Shrimp Chow Mein, garlic Naan, and lamb roganjosh.
