What an experience. We were a bit worried at first because of the long line out the door. But the service was super fast, food was amazing, and the prices are great too! Loved their bagel.

Good, fast, and cheap! It's no wonder why this place was packed with college students and families alike. As of July 2023, the drive thru was closed, so parking was a bit dicey. People will line up out the door and wrap around the building for these bagels! While I do not think the bagels were good enough for this kind of hype, they were solid. A bacon, egg, and cheese bagel was less than $5. Individual bagels were $1.05. If you can hit it during a lower traffic time it's definitely worth going to.

Definitely a place to stop when in Charlottesville! The bagel were very fresh and super tasty. They had plenty of options for different toppings and different kinds of bagels. They had salads as well. Lots of indoor seating.

Favorite bagel spot in Virginia. I love their everything bagels and bagel sandwiches. They always have the friendliest service. This location has plenty of parking which was also nice.

It saddens my heart that I have to leave this review but the customer service from a manager Elisa was unacceptable. I go to this bodo's on Preston at least 2 to 3 times a week. I asked for a water with lemon and she explained to me that the lemon was not free. (which was fine) I walked away to help someone carry a tray to their and came back to see a lady ask the same question, but with Tea. She proceeds to give the lady and her husband bunches of lemons. Some else in the line coming down ask for just ice, then water with lemon and did NOT get the same respond as I did. I got my food sat in the parking lot a little confused. Called inside to see what the protocol was as this has never happened before everyone is very friendly. Elisa told me that she was the manager and has been here for 10yrs. " If someone pays for a drink they can have as many lemons as they want. She doesn't have the to TIME to discuss with me what happens with other customers and if some one has given me a FREE lemon they are not following protocol" Woow! I just want the same CUSTOMER SERVICE as everyone else you come in contact with. It took more time for me to write this review but I hope no other person regardless of who they are experience the disrespect I did today. I'm also going to reach out to the owner. When did it become OK for someone to talk or treat someone in this manner 🥲

First time trying Bodo’s (it’s been recommended time and time again). Did not disappoint. Went with a classic egg and cheese, but bagels were delicious. Definitely can tell that they’ve got that authentic taste. Will be back when I’m in Charlottesville!

Cheap, fresh, delicious, and a craving that will always be there. The staff was extremely friendly and gave me great advice on what to get. Try the cinnamon raisen bagel with the honey pecan cream cheese! Bodo Bagels will now and forever be my go to place to eat when in Charlottesville.

LOVE THESE BAGELS. There is nothing like it. My family & I drive all the way from Potomac for these bagels. Can you believe it? WELL BELIEVE IT!!! ITS THAT GOOD. Try the chicken salad bagels, they are most definitely worth the drive. Take a look at the picture for reference, couldn't post one without taking a bite first!!

Best bagels in town. You can have breakfast any of time of day or lunch in the morning. You're able to eat in the dining room now. They offer scrambled eggs or egg whites. There are so many combinations you can get at Bodos. This is a Charlottesville MUST.

My girlfriend is from New York and endorses the Everything bagel. Good price too. Even with the line of the door, it only took us 10 minutes to get our bagel.

Overall the sausage egg and cheese bagel was pretty good. The bagel itself was fantastic but the sausage is a bit plain. The place has friendly staff and smells amazing. It was pretty quite when I was there so the wait was pretty non existent and plenty of seating. I do find it funny that you can immediately tell it was an old Wendy’s building.

Outstanding bacon egg and cheddar on a plain bagel. And service was super speedy. Always drop in when I'm in the neighborhood. Best New York style bagels in Virginia if not the south.

These bagels were delicious! Very friendly and efficient staff. However, I would not recommend the veggie breakfast sandwich (NoBull). It was not good at all and I wouldn't eat it, they should revisit that menu item. But bagels were great.

Amazing!! I wish I could give more stars! This is one busy place! And for a very good reason. The food is so delicious!! The service was very fast. And the employee who took our order was very patient with us as we perused the menu for the first time. The bagel sandwiches were fantastic. The bagels were made the authentic way-first boiled, then baked-making them moist and chewy. We ordered a pastrami sandwich bagel, a turkey and avocado on an "Everything" bagel, a breakfast sandwich bagel, and an egg sandwich bagel. We also ordered a lentil soup, which was also really good. The dining room was bright and cheery. And the atmosphere was happy. There are quite a few employees working here, and they are all busy bustling about behind food counter. If I could give one negative comment, it would be that the tables were not all clean, and the floor needed to be swept and vacuumed. There were a lot of crumbs-probably from the everything bagels which have a lot of seeds on it. Other than that, I would return again, and again to eat here.

Bodos a crowd favorite and again didn’t disappoint my last visit. Was lined up outside and still managed to have my chicken salad, garlic and everything bagels, and cream cheese in hand in less than fifteen minutes! If you’re in Charlottesville and have time B line it to Bodos for some of the quickest but tastiest bagels and sandwiches you have ever had all custom to your liking!!

Awesome local place for everything bagel. The only downside I don't think they have cinnamon bagels without raisins, and no sweet tea. Otherwise, the food is great and the service good as well. It gets busy during prime hours so plan accordingly. Also open all day!

This is the best place to get a bagel / any kind of lunch sandwich and salad! We are just visiting and stopped in on our last day and wish we had came sooner. Super nice people and quick service!

This is absolutely NOT a NY bagel establishment. If you are used to NY bagels, don’t bother coming in. I just moved here from NJ and this was recommended to me for breakfast. Unfortunately, the bagels taste like store bought Thomas bread bagels and they don’t melt the cheese on any sandwiches, which is really weird.

Bagels always FRESH. Breakfast sandwich bagels are awesome! Last takeout visit I tried the Liver Pate & Cream Cheese on Salt Bagel. Messy but wow-hella tasty (pic). Sometimes you're just in the mood for some liver right? Too bad they don't carry fava beans ;-) Pate was appropriately moist. Every bit oozed pate out of sandwich, so next time I'll just open it up and eat it as two open faces (hmm, Bodo's really brings out my inner Hannibal I guess). My only ding on Bodo's over the years is that they don't carry capers for the Lox Bagels. That's just silly. Capers & Lox go together like peas & carrots.

I was traveling in VA, and my friend said you should definitely go to Bodo's Bagel. I thought, okay, I like bagels and my favorite place in Charlotte NC closed years ago (Brooklyn Water Bagel), so off I went. Parking was tight. Luckily, someone was pulling out. Immediately, the crowd let me know my friend was right. This place is popular, and I was even more intrigued. My mom and both ordered, and the service was friendly and quick. I ordered an everything bagel with lox and cream cheese. It was far and away the best bagel I've had in years; so much so that I went back in and ordered a few more for the next day. They toasted up perfectly the next day, and the herb cream cheese was spot on. Next time I'm nearby, you best bet I'm getting a bagel or quite possibly one of those delicious bagel sandwiches.

Delicious!!! You can get a loaded hot bagel sandwich for $6 or less. Soups, salads and sides are on the menu also. The bagel is amazing and so fresh. We ate around 2pm and the place is still bustling. No wonder, it’s so so good!

I go there often for lunch break, and they never disappoint. Very inexpensive food, probably the best bagels I have ever had, and enjoy my usual turkey, lettuce, onion sandwich on plain bagel. Not only the food is great, but the customer service is great, and the food always comes out quickly and efficiently. Keep up the great work!

Best bagel sandwich ever! My husband has been telling me for ten years about Bodo’s Bagels. We were in town and I finally got to try it. It definitely lived up to the hype. The bagel was fresh, excellent texture, and toasted to perfection. The deli meats were shaved thin and piled high just the way I like it. Definitely going to have to grab another before I leave town tomorrow.
