Laid back and no fuss BBQ joint. Great meats and sandwiches. The ribs were just falling apart. The mac and cheese could have been a little bit better and the sauces could go up a notch, but overall solidly good BBQ.

The mark of any great bbq is brisket, and this place does not disappoint. I wish I were local to explore the rest of the offerings. Support local!

Roby and crew are great!! Gotta love owner presence in a restaurant! ALL MY XXXs brisket sandwich was amazing, loved the burnt ends(more like charred nuggets of tender carmelized goodness!!), pulled pork was delicious, and ribs sampler was great (they are more of a dry rub rib, but fall off the bone tender)...can't wait to try the chicken next time!! Sauces representing different regions and types of bbq. Was really enjoyable to taste-test them all!!

First time visitor, and they were short staffed. But the little bit of wait was worth it! We did a pulled pork sandwich with the smoked Mac and cheese, and a slider trio(pork, turkey and brisket) with baked bean sides. Everything was outstanding! Moved up to the top end of my personal"Best BBQ in RVA" list. Will definitely get "Smohk-ed" " again!

The food was delicious! Got the brisket with ribs and mac and cheese and coleslaw, it was all very good. The different sauces were appreciated.

This place has amazing high quality bbq. It’s a small spot but it’s right next to a brewery so you can easily find a place to sit there. Pulled pork: 10/10. Smokey, moist, warm, with some chard pieces. Ribs: 10/10. Tender, Smokey, good chew. Mac and cheese: 6/10. Good cheddar flavor. A little oily. Cole slaw: 5/10. A little dry and not packed with flavor. Baked beans: 8/10. One of the best side dishes. Sauces: 7/10. They are great but not a bit selection. Overall I highly recommend this place and will be back.

Small, Homey feeling, everything made in house including the sauces. Which are phenomenal. Would definitely recommend, it's been in Scotts Addition for over five years and for good reason!

I just moved to the NC / VA area from Austin, TX. This brisket was amazing. I ordered a brisket sandwich and it was a GENEROUS portion (roughly 6 ounces!!!) Coleslaw was awesome (creamy yet slightly acidic with some celery seeds to mute it). The buns soaked up some of the brisket renderings phenomenally. I highly recommend ordering from here.

With such an incognito entrance, I did not initially expect Smohk to have such delicious food. But I was fortunately mistaken! Their pulled pork was awesome, but what I really enjoyed was the brisket sandwich! Served alongside chips and my choice of bbq sauce, it made me return right back to order more the next day.

Smohk is located behind a brewery off a side road in Richmond. The man and woman running the place were warm and welcoming and excellent at what they do. When i went yesterday I ordered the ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. The ribs were fall off the bone, tender, juicy and succulent - just phenomenal. The pulled pork sandwich had a great smoky flavor and their bbq sauce was quite tasty. Midway through my meal I was handed a piece if pork that was just pulled out of the smoker and almost fell over in my chair. There’s a secret to that rub! If youre in the area or passing through I95, pull over and go here.

Although it was a bit difficult to find, it was absolutely worth the effort. I ordered chicken salad and a limeade. This place had legit one of the best BBQ chicken and sauce, placed on a bed of the freshest greens. I had beans and beets on top as well, which were amazing. The others at my table were very happy with their food as well.

Ok so I seriously never write reviews but I just love this place and I am so glad I stumbled upon this place a few years ago. It is the ONLY barbecue place I will go to (for those who know me, know this). The meat isn't too smoky, just a perfect balance with their sauces. The sides are bomb. It's hidden behind a brewery which is pretty cool if you are into that. Every interaction I have with the boss/server is so pleasant. It is the first restaurant I take people when I have visitors. It's really tricky to find, but once you do, you might find it really easy to come back. Not the best place for dining in but not bad in a pinch. But don't let that stop you from ordering take-out. The food was Fantastic. My bun was a little soggy from all the juicy ingredients, but still tasty. Prices are not for someone on a budget, but nothing is nowadays. Try it you won't be disappointed!

Had the brisket and was very impressed. One of the owners chatted with us while we waited for our food and showed us some of the desserts he's been working on, and they looked amazing. Only reason we didn't order one right then and there is because we already had cupcakes at home. My wife and I agreed that we would definitely be returning, especially since they have a pretty good menu to choose from, so there's lots still to try!

Delicious! I had the brisket with mac and cheese and collards. The brisket was perfectly tender and moist. The mac and cheese was tasty and light. The collards were tender as well. The customer service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend and will be back!

Best bbq I've ever eaten. You will have to search to find the place but your taste buds will thank you! Great service and libations also. Reasonable prices. Do not miss this culinary experience if you are around Richmond!

Got a takeout order of two meats, order asked for two sauces, and when we got home it turned out we only received one of them. Rookie mistake, put a damper on the first experience. Meat quality was good, portions appropriate. Cole slaw was nice but needs more vinegar (really just any vinegar), mac and cheese is fine for a side. Weirdly the order did not include any bread, and we could not find an option for cornbread on the site.

Delicious food and friendly staff. As someone who likes to roam around and sniff out quality, stand alone BBQ spots in the southern(ish) states, I highly recommend Smokh. The price, quantity, and quality was on point.

My server was overly nice. O believe her name was Sophie. I ordered the burnt ends tacos. Very tasty. Also had the key lime pie for dessert another winner.

Great BBQ! The smoke ribye sandwich was piled high, extremely tender and just really good. Everyone in our group enjoyed the meal. Give this one a try. Look for the Eat Here sign for the door!
