My kids love the Claire’s store, but I wish the service would be better.

What a disaster. We went there to have a special moment with our daughter who finally got the courage to get her ears pierced. We went to the register and was told they cant help us and to go to the front of the store. When we got there the lady was not to be found for several minutes and shoved a form in our face and told us to sign it. There was another customer with her so we waited. While we waited this worker became so frustrated with the customer and was talking so rudely to her and started throwing boxes of earrings down on her cabinet and floor. We left as she was not professional or friendly at all. We ended up going to Oakland mall. It is expensive though and no prices are mentioned up front.

They had the buy 3 get 3 free deal when I was there, so I did it, but 10 minutes later, I wanted to exchange 2 of the things I got previously for 2 different things that were a bit pricier. Instead of returning everything and switching 2 of the old things out for 2 new items so we could still use the deal, she only exchanged 2 old things for 2 new things, meaning we didn’t get the deal and had to pay more money for them. She did that and blamed me for not telling her to return everything when I was only trying to make her life easier. I hate how they weren’t upfront with us and tried to take more money than they should’ve and blamed it on me for not telling them to return everything. Honestly, it felt like a scam. If they were upfront about it and asked me if I wanted to return everything or just exchange 2 for 2 while letting me know that the deal wouldn’t apply to the second choice, then I would’ve accepted the blame for making the wrong choice, but they weren’t upfront, which shows they don’t respect my time or money.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I was waiting in line to get my ears pierced and the store was a bit busy and the space is tight so part of my body was blocking one of the ring stands. A lady pokes her head from the side and looks at me and say “ can we shop here?”. I thought she was a customer but then I saw she was wearing a tag her name was “Christine”, I was so confused and she repeated it again. So I asked her if she wanted to me get out of the way and she said the same sentence again and that’s when I got so angry. I had to raise my voice to tell her to use her manners and she could’ve easily asked me to step aside while she helped her customers get through the stand I was partly blocking. I didn’t want to get service done there so I wanted to leave but I asked to see a manager and her manager was worse. Christine lied when she explained what she said to me and her manager’s reply to me was “what do you want us to do we already said sorry”. Such prejudice because my skin color was darker and such hatred I witnessed from Christine and her manager. I will tweet about this and I will make sure the whole world sees what happens in this place. I’m sure more of this behavior happens to a lot of minorities but I’m surprised that in this day in age this behavior is still tolerated. I have had enough. If there were less stars I wish I could pick. Never ever stepping in this place again.

Its definitely a girls store. My daughter of 10 is really into it and the deals are definitely evident. It has everything one stop shop for any girls that have their ears pierced. So bring your female family members and save some money. Great staff and great organization.

Went to Claire's to buy ear rings for my niece. I found the cutest sparkly lady bugs and a couple more things! Rookie, showed me the bumble bee ear rings! They are very cute! Rookie also told me if I bought more - my total would be less!!! Yes! It is true! Buy three, get three free! THANKS Rookie!

I took my 13 year old son to get his ear pierced.Martha was patient , kind and professional. I couldn’t have wished for a better experience 😀
