NEVER will I stay with this brand of a hotel ever again—the worst hotel experience of my life. I felt so UNSAFE. If you are a woman traveling alone, DO NOT stay here. I booked this room through hotwire because of the lower rate. There was a mix-up with the name on my reservation which complicated check-in. This was not the hotel's fault. However, the way the hotel handled it was horrible. I don't know if the manager was new, but she was pretty useless. I don't know if the hotel has a general policy of lousy customer service or just bias towards specific customers. Hotwire corrected the reservation issue fairly quickly, and I finally got to my room. A strange person walks straight into my room twice within 5 minutes using the keycard. I called the front desk to discuss my safety and the lackluster customer service. Next, I spoke to the manager, Heather Sancrowicz, and again she was useless. The manager told me the only people with master keys to the room were hotel staff, but her staff wouldn't enter my room unannounced. So, if it wasn't hotel staff who entered my room twice? After my complaint, the front desk started calling my room every 15 minutes, allowing the phone to ring only once before hanging up. At this point, I unplugged the phone, put the extra locks on my door, and pushed the recliner seat against the door till I checked out. I was scared and disappointed with the hotel's lack of accountability. The employee's goals were to make me feel unsafe, unwanted, and harassed. They succeed. I was too nervous to sleep. The most frustrating part is that I paid for this horrendous treatment. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Please take my warning and stay elsewhere.

Absolutely the worst customer srivice! We booked 3 nights at this location. Today was our check out date. We came to the hotel around 2:30 or so AM from families and our key would not work at the main entrance. Rang the phone a couple times. When the front desk staff let us in, I asked her if she could make a new key for us. She got rude and said it is not her fault for the key not working. And decided to not let us stay in our room anymore. I called the police and have a report. I will demand camera recording as well from the property because she also called me few names and accused me of some things. In addition the rooms are awful, smell so bad and even the hallways smell. They cahege you for parking!!

This hotel is disgusting run down and nasty. It’s people outside doing drugs. The hotel carpet and beds look like they haven’t been washed in years. The staff looks like their on drugs. I seen bugs in the room and the bathroom. The hotel smells bad and I started to itch when I come in. Definitely don’t take your kids here. The manager could barely hold a conversation very ghetto and upset that we did not want to stay in the filthy mess.

It's about 20 minutes to downtown and the museum but it's safe and very clean. Would recommend Sonesta. No breakfast but they have a small store.

Many thanks to Selena, Robin, Elaine, Heather, Samantha, Brad and the entire staff of housekeepers for making my extended stay so comfortable. This hotel sets a standard that other hotels should strive to achieve. A definite go to place for extended stay. My many thanks!

I was on the hunt for a place to stay where we weren't crammed into a room with a bed. Simply Suites provides such a cool living space for even a short period. You can make your own meals or venture out to a number of nearby venues. Located on Van Dyke near just about anything you could want to do. The units themselves are very quiet, they were clean, the bed was super comfy and the unit was well equipped. The girls at the desk were SO helpful, so friendly and made us feel very welcome. They have a small self-service kitchen with some products available, washers and dryers and even a lend library. I am very impressed with this location and their services. I will definitely stay there again when I go back to visit my family.

I visited Detroit for a few days and wanted to be in an area close to the Ford plant. After searching several hotels in the area, I found Sonesta and decided to give it a shot. When I first got to the grounds I was impressed with the building and the grounds. Everything outside was very clean, well-painted, and quiet. The staff was very welcoming even though I was checking in early. I was even more impressed when I got to my room. My stay was comfortable and welcoming. I will book this hotel in the future.

Great place to stay! ” My job requires I spend 60-90 days a year on the road and in Hotels. In this area, this is by far the best and most comfortable hotel under $100. The suites are spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything from plates, silverware and cookware to paper towels and dishwasher detergent. It is quiet, safe and comfortable. Equally impressive is the phenomenal staff, especially "Sam", she and everyone at the front desk couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. 31 Oct 2023

Stayed in Detroit here for work. The rooms are nice. Full kitchenettes, coffee pot, stove top and full refrigerator for extended stays. One thing I think was great is where the TV is positioned, which allowed me to view it while sitting on the toilet or in the bathtub =).

Very welcoming staff, and very professional. Clean room with a nice view. Very clean parking area and building as a whole. They have all you need in your room with restaurants and other shopping right next door. Lots of people staying here long term, which goes to show they treat people well. They could use more parking because that does get a little tight. I’d stay here again if I needed to book a hotel in the area.

Just spent 1 night and was pleasantly surprised. Clean room, spacious, and got it at a great price. Room came with Fridge, microwave and stove top. Check in and check out were quick and both times employees were smiling and happy to assist. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Generally speaking, a pleasant experience. Room was clean but simple. Air conditioning was the old style controlled at the window, one for both rooms, VERY noisy. Reserved a disability suite, got there and was told that they didn't have any. The had one but the TV's were not hooked up. They didn't offer to hook them up and were were going to be stuck there for 3 days. Less costly than other suite hotels but you "pay" for that discount.

Room 243 is completely infested with ants and flying ants. Im disappointed of the fact out of all rooms, they put me in this particular room that's infested. I feel like I've been setup. I couldn't even sleep at night with them flying around. And I used my loyalty points to only stay for 2 nights and this is the kind of service I get for being an elite member customer. I should get a refund but I know they're too stingy to do that. I won't be coming back here again.

Reasonable rates, decent rooms and a good staff. However, the building transmits sounds of people walking overhead. Insist on a top floor and you’ll probably enjoy your stay. But they refused to move me and were incapable of quieting there other customers.

We had a great experience! Hotel was clean & well maintained. Our room was a nice, little efficiency with bed, bath/shower, & kitchenette. A little dated but well worth the money. Only complaints I have are: every day, early morning, we could hear the person above us walking around, so either they didn’t insulate btw floors or did a shoddy job; not staff’s fault. I cannot say that they woke us because I’m usually up to use the bathroom but… The other thing was I wanted a shower but not to wash my hair and the shower head 🚿 was older & went wide so water went everywhere & I got my hair & the floor wet too. Nothing major, more good than anything 🙂

Super super nice staff, very updated, and very clean - cleanliness is a BIG deal to me. Huge work desk and work space. Really good place to stay. I seriously wish all hotels were like this, bc most that are in this price range are not nearly as good.

First and foremost i would like to say every other Hotel ive been to the front desk ladies have always had an awful attitude when i came here the front desk young lady Mina was so generous and so kind as well as the manager Selena. The hotel is a bit older but very clean as soon as you walk in you smell the cleanliness. Only thing i would say that could be changed is maybe the HouseKeeping that are for guests 7 + days .. Other than that it was a great stay and i would Recommend it to everyone. !!
