Still my ultimate favorite place to go. A little on the more costly side of places but it’s worth it. The cheese tortellini is the best ever. The sauce is just 15/10 every time. The owner is always so pleasant and cares about your experience there. He always takes good care of us.

Service was good and friendly. The stake was cooked prefect. The French fries were fresh and hand-cut. The calamari was delicious. I'm not sure if it's because I'm from the south but I wasn't to impress with the ribs.

Quite possibly the best local food I've had it quite some time. Service was terrific and timely, atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was amazing. Can't believe I've lived in this area my entire life and never checked it out. Will definitely be back!

It's really nice, clean, good location, friendly service, easy reservations on Google. A bit pricey, but overall we had a great evening. My only minus is that I didn't like the taste of my zucchini or chicken. LOVED THE CALAMARI.

We were just driving by and decided to give it a try. Our server, Stella, was wonderful, patient (we had our 3 year old with us) and checked on us often. We ordered 2 appetizers, meals, and dessert and no complaints. It was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back!

No crowd when we arrived at 1630 but very crowded by 1800. We got a table in the bar. Server took drink orders and delivered them promptly. Menu struck me as oddly eclectic. Some Italian. some American. There was a confusing array of daily specials and Happy Our deals. I got a Prime Rib Sandwich. They actually had both horseradish and horseradish sauce. Food was served hot and was very tasty. But the skinny fries were a soggy mess. Live music began at 1800. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Cafe 422 was the cater of the venue (Provence Mill Event Center) my husband and I used in August for our wedding and we couldn't have picked a better place! A part of the process of selecting which food we wanted to be served at our wedding included a taste testing-- they were so accommodating and were able to get us in right in the peak of graduation party season. The food was delicious and the woman helping us helped us finalize our selections and was so helpful. The food at the actual wedding was SO DELICIOUS and our guests were so impressed! People (including my husband and I) are still talking about it almost 3 months later. We highly recommend Cafe 422 for your catering needs or just for delicious dinner!

Having traveled all over the world, I am often in places where I have never been. I have learned to explore and discover great restaurants, wine bars, attractions, and other adventures. I discovered a wonderful place that ended up being way beyond my expectations. Cafe 422 in Warren, Ohio. It has been a culinary fixture in this part of the world for 85 years. That is pretty impressive. My servers at the bar, Michelle, and Lisa, tag teamed me and left me wanting for nothing. They were attentive, professional, and very engaging. Their service only enhanced my experience, and I am planning to go back tomorrow and a few more times this week. Yes, it was that good. I started my Thanksgiving dinner with a glass of Ruffino Prosecco. To me, bubbly, serves any occasion. They offered a three course menu with many options. I chose the Braised Lamb Shank with Mushroom Risotto, Green Beans, Au Jus. Served with a salad. Paired with wonderful Alpha Zeta Amarone della Valpolicella. For dessert I had a coconut cream pie, which was over-the-top delicious. paired with a snifter of Grand Marnier. I love that Lisa presented it in a snifter, the only way it should be offered. If you are traveling to the Youngstown/Niles Ohio area, I would highly recommend this restaurant. They are open for both lunch and dinner, and have many different options to satisfy any pallet. Their bar is well stocked with great selections of beer, wine and spirits. The atmosphere is warm and inviting that sure please every guest. Check it out. I hope to see you there.

It was my 64th Birthday. There were 18 of us and the staff was wonderful. Our server was Tiffany (I think). We ordered a drink called Miami Vice. They didn't make it to our liking and she went and personally made all of ours. She cut my birthday cake and really made us feel welcome. I no longer live in Ohio but next time I am ho.e, I will eat there again! Everyone enjoyed it.

Was there on Wednesday with 5 others to plan our class reunion. The owner was fantastic. He came and asked if we needed anything and how our food etc. was. Was there again today for an event, perennial flowers and friends. We had a buffer style meal. Salad was great and loved the dressing. Chicken was excellent. Potatoes were a little salty for my taste but in fairness I don't use salt. The servers were constantly checking to see/make sure if we needed anything. Filling our drinks, bread and removing plates. Did an excellent job. Looking forward to going back.

Visit for new year's dinner thinking we are going to have nice dinner. First waitress seem a little lost on beer selection going to bar several times for info. (put list in pocket for ref.) Ordered surf and turf and mentioned side, she looked at our menu to see if side included. Filet not cooked as asked, sent back to be returned nuked into shoe leather. Received new one after our meal was done less cooked than first one. Calimari in seafood linguine like rubber could not chew it. Asked to talk to manager/owner,no show. told waitress to give us a dessert. (Really?)

Every other time I've been here, Every thing I've ordered has been excellent. Unfortunately this last Wednesday was not the case. My waiter was great, the only problems I had was I ordered the crispy calamari and when it came I tried to eat 1 and it was over cooked so it was rubbery. He took it back and 2 minutes later brought me the melt in your mouth calamari I was use to. I ordered the Prime Rib Special that states on the menu is $19.99. I got it and was suppose to have mushrooms and onions on it. They forgot them and he bought them in a separate bowl. The prime rib had a thick brown sauce on it which made the whole thing not taste right. After I got home I looked and then realized that I was charged $23.98 for it. It wasn't worth it. Don't think I'll order that again. Every thing else I got though was good.

This place was great. The hostess set us up on the patio and the vibe was perfect. Every thing we ordered was top notch but the grilled halibut served on greens was freaking awesome. The grilled asparagus was on point. A couple 5 dollar peach cosmos and a slice of lemon cake and it was a super wonderful night with friend's Hugh shout out to our waitress Maddy she explained the dishes and took super care of us. I will definitely be back. Clay shafer

Been here a few times and it's always the same, absolutely awesome, the food, the service and the atmosphere. This is one of my favorite places. I had the seafood linguine, which was phenomenal, my wife had the Egg plant Parmesan, and it was very delicious. To the owner, don't change a thing, this place is the GOAT of all restaurants.

Wanted to try something new and different tonight. Although the food won't kill me, I think with the amount of fat on our pork chops, they shouldn't have been as dry as they were. The one scoop of garlic mash was just that....nothing on top of them and dry (cold too). Our server Kathy was great, but seemed to be new. Best part of the whole meal was dessert. All in all, it was okay. But momentous enough to come back? Don't think so.

Food was great, she had Lasagna and I had Beef Stroganoff. If was a busy Sunday afternoon, it was full but the wait staff was slow even considering it was busy, It was 55 minutes before we got our food. I will go back as I understand the staff challenges of the days we live in but just be prepared for a longer wait.

I haven't been to Cafe 422 in years. This meal was one of the best meals I've had in a long time! Our server was so sweet and working so hard. The hot peppers in oil are a must and the Chicken Marsala was wonderful! We will definitely be back!

Went here on my way home because of the other reviews I read here. The atmosphere and customer service were exceptional! I ordered their benny with smoked salmon it was a little salty, paired with my Bloody Mary and water it worked out. Definitely would recommend. Thanks for the great service at the bar Lisa and supporting staff. πŸ€™

Friendly staff, nice looking place, good meal options... However, the steak I ordered was rushed out and extremely undercooked after waiting over an hour for them to cook our meal for only 2 people. The manager was understanding and comped the steak off the bill, but I was there for almost 1.5-2 hrs and didn't get to eat what I ordered...

We had reservations, to which we were told when we got there, no we didn't because they weren't taking reservations. After a small discussion, they found out someone DID take a reservation for us. We got seated and waited almost 20 mins for the manager to notice we were still sitting there. She got our waiter who took our full order because we were more than ready by this point. He brought bread and peppers in oil right away but was MIA for another 20 mins while we waited for our drinks. Drinks finally came, he brought only half of what we had ordered for appetizers and than disappeared never to be seen again. Over an hour later, we didn't even have our salads, no refill on our waters and yet 2 other tables with rather large parties that came in after us were both eating their dinners by this time. Manager comped us our drinks. We completely understand being short staffed but this was unacceptable. We won't be going back.

I can't say enough for the service and the waitresses. They were outstanding. I so much enjoyed the band and celebrating my granddaughter's graduation. I ordered veal parmesan, when someone gives me a steak knife with veal, I know it's not cooked properly. I was not impressed with my dinner at all.

We booked a mercy dinner and although the food was acceptable, there were several issues. We asked for tables of six, there were eight chairs at each table. There was supposed to be bread on the table with the hot peppers, at the beginning, and it took over 20 minutes to get it, after seating. The salads took another 30 minutes. When the food was brought out all the guests who ordered baked potatoes didn't get them until 20 minutes after their steak. The only excuse offered for this , by a server was " that's why we limit your choices ". Then we were told they ran out..ran out of potatoes at 1pm in the afternoon? You see I asked for baked potatoes as a side choice for the entrees, and they knew that..the lack of preparation for that choice was inexcusable. The food overall was acceptable. And therefore the 3 star rating. The service was extremely undesirable . This was the dinner for my step son..gone to soon..we didn't question prices. We didn't even argue the tip they didn't deserve. The manager was nowhere to be found after the initial encounter. We picked this restaurant for its supposed excellent reputation in Niles. My advice is to avoid them stringently for events of any kind, unless of course you don't like the person the party is for. The entire meal was embarrassing and uncalled for. If not for the food, the rating would have been a zero.

The place is large and can fit a crowd, especially if you have a big party needing served. It has a nice menu, but it feels dated to me. I'm sure I'll give it another try soon.
