New construction going on is always a welcome to improve the already beautiful park. These wonderful waterfowls known as Anatidae are amazing and nice to see.

This little park is so great it has two bathroom location and safe place just to walk let your kids be kids. You can even fish here feed the geese, watch the ducks flying in the pond. Has a tennis court , volleyball court, two fields for baseball, 2 large play area with swings and merry-go-rounds, on week days they have the building open with pop machine and chips candy. Love this place.

Beautiful, well kept and open park with walking trails, basketball courts, play area and a gorgeous lake. The park felt very welcoming and was very clean, it is clearly very well taken care of.

I came with my son for a quick Pokéwalk and we ended up staying for hours. The park is enormous, with various areas like a lakeside walk and a garden-esque path complete with a fairy village. There's also basketball courts and a playground. The only bathroom I saw was a porta potty, so heads up there.

Great park with two playgrounds, tennis courts, a basketball court, and a great walking trail!. There is a pond where many ducks live and a little garden, Heritage Garden that you can rent for weddings or private parties. Plenty of parking, you can enter through 24 Mile or through Van Dyke Ave.

Beautiful little park. Heritage Gardens and Mae Stecker are all kind of together. The little kids loved the playground and also feeding the ducks at the pond. Bring bird seed, not bread. Bread is bad for the birds. If you are patient enough you may get a duck to eat from your hand. It’s nice and peaceful.

It's a beautiful and very clean park. The gardens are beautiful. There is fishing in the pond, a play area for kids, a tennis course, ball field, picnic areas, bench seating throughout, pavilions, clean restropms and a beautiful hiking and biking trail. Very friendly and inviting.

Shaded play area by the tennis courts with plenty of benches and picnic tables- by the CLEAN and well-maintained rest rooms. A pond with a trail to walk around. A fairy garden on that trail, on the same side as all the municipal buildings. There is a deck overlook on the pond. There are modern basketball courts with a strange (maybe polymer?) floor. I have been taking my family here for 10 years and the court still looks new. There is a separate play structure from the other two, between the pavilion and basketball courts. It is a younger child structure. My kids always wanted to go on that one, when we needed to be by the other one at the tennis courts! It is the bigger of the two younger aged structures. There is also a sand volleyball court and a baseball field. It is a busy place during Homecoming and Prom. A lot of the local teens come here to take photographs. Even weddings. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because they have not replaced some playground equipment that was taken out. - 2 bouncy animals. And they have not repaired two parts of the older equipment- the walk-across (one of the plastic pillars’ anchor to the ground was busted so it swings), and the corkscrew slide. It seems like vandals, so maybe cameras would help. They do have rewards if you turn in people who purposely destroy the equipment. Other than that, this is one of my favorite parks!

The water here is super pretty! It was a lovely spot to bring some food and have a picnic, there were tables and benches pretty evenly spread around the water, in the garden and along the walking paths. People kept to themselves and it was clean all around us. The garden area is gorgeous! There are also playgrounds for kids, and we passed basketball and tennis courts full of people as well. Whenever the weather is good, I'd enjoy going here again.

Playground very rundown, grass not cut. Baseball fields, basketball courts and beach volleyball areas all in decent shape though.

A nice clean park. The playground in the trees is well maintained. My 6 and 7 year old boys love coming here.

This park is a great place to take pictures in. Has a walking path, a gazebo, a garden by the pond, a caboose and train engine and other spots to enjoy. Have enjoyed several afternoons with our dog here for a walk on the asphalt path. Enjoy just relaxing from the real world and enjoying time with my family.

I was at this park having a little birthday cake open for my eight year old just the beauty of this park. It’s so unique the love that he has the basketball court. Everybody comes there just like old times in the movie in New York City movies where they all go to the park and play basketball as a team nobody knows nobody but just working together as a team is the part that brings people together as a team strangers together as a team and that is amazing kids play with the Kids. It’s just a blessing and it’s a blessed place to be I can’t wait to get to know him more.

Very relaxing park. Great place to walk or just sit on a park bench and chill. Each bench is dedicated to some one who has passed away. Great playground for the children, watch a summer baseball game or two, play tennis, shoot hoops and in the winter enjoy the man made ice skating ring.

Plenty to do here. This is a little out of the ordinary park. There are many activities available. There are two real sand volleyball courts, two full size basketball courts, 3 tennis courts, two baseball diamonds, a playscape area, paved walking pathways with pet pickup stations, a beautiful lake with fountains with new handicap accessible docks for fishing. A portion of the park is called "Heritage Park" and is maintained very well by the local garden club. There is a lot of parking, and this is an busy park. Parking can get very full during baseball season. There is an additional parking area on the west side of the lake that makes it easy for handicap access to the docks, paved pathways and a pavilion for picnicking.

I love Mae Stecker, it is a wonderful community park. The lively walk around the pond, the athletic facilities, library, bandshell... just a really nice place.
