I originally left a very nice review boasting about being pain free and looking forward to a better quality of life. Unfortunately, I wish every single day I never stepped foot in this office. I was left with more problems than I started with. Sadly my life really isn’t a life, all I do is go to specialists to see if the problems he created can be fixed. His nurse will document as she pleases, even if it didn’t happen, and don’t expect a reply from her. The only person in the office that deserves a star is the PA, he actually tries. Do yourself a favor and get a second or third opinion before you throw your life away like I did.

I had a Cervical Fushion/Disk Replacement on Aug.5th of 2019. By far the best decision ever. I was in a lot of pain(neck,sholder,arm).and just like that the pain is gone!.Dr. Patel is such a caring doctor.I highly recommend him to anyone who would need his services. He explained everything that was going to take place,and how I would feel after,again he was on point. And his PA,Brian Vosko, what a fantastic assistant. Thank you for being a caring,friendly,and sometimes funny PA.You have made me feel important each time I have seen you. Both of you guys are awesome. I had my surgery at, Surgeon's Choice Medical Center in Southfield. SO MUCH BETTER THEN A REGULAR HOSPITAL. All the staff was extremely friendly, like I was a number one priority. Horrible doctor I have ever met . I met him twice both the times I didn’t get any good impression the way he spoke to me . First visit - after waiting for one hour inside doctors room dr.patel visited me and couldn’t have a seat to discuss what I was going through just mentioned that I need to for physio therapy and get mri done and visit him again . Second visit - what ever he spoke to me everything in a sarcastic way that I need to exercise daily like a six pack work out which I can’t do as I’m suffering from herniated bulging disc . When I heard about second option about undergoing surgery for which I was little scared he didn’t spoke to me politely . This is the first time I’m writing a review about a doctor . Please to go other doctor who have some patience to listen to you .

Ok, first let me say that it's very rare that I leave reviews. But here it goes........ I can not stess enough about how glad I am that I chose Dr. Patel and his team. At the beginning of March, right before the pandemic was about to kick in full force, I herniated a disc in my lower back. I was lucky enough to get an MRI by the 2nd week of March and Dr. Patel was able to add me as a new patient soon after that. After speaking with him, I decided to have surgery to get the herniated disc off my nerve. My surgery took about an hour and a half. I woke up shortly after and within 2 hours I was on my way home. It is now June 5th and I feel so much better. The entire experience was very easy and very comfortable. And EVERYONE involved was very careful about the Covid19 issue. I **guarantee** you will NOT regret choosing Dr. Patel. If you need to ask me any questions about my experience send me a message and I'll give you my number. That's how impressed I was with him and his team. Also.....Dr. Patel's assistant, Brian Vosko, was unbelievable. He answered every irritating email I sent and returned every call I made. I was nervous about the surgery and I had so many questions but he really put me at ease. He's very patient and I can not speaking highly enough about him too. I was seen by Dr Patel for a cervical issue. He took his time to explain the anatomy and what going on with my degenerative issue. Went through all the home exercises and very conservative treatment The staff was amazing and very organized I highly recommend Dr Patel

Very well pleased with Dr. Patel. Recently had disc replacement neck surgery, Was recommended by a couple of people who had surgeries with good success,This was a tremendous help for me and would recommend him to anyone who needed spine surgery.Also PA Vosko was a great help during the post surgery process. Very professional and caring staff.

I could not recommend Dr. Patel more. After years of symptoms that no other physician could connect he found that I had a significant compression of my spinal cord at C3. While I waited for imaging he had me do therapy and other conservative measures, but once the issue was found he and his team worked quickly with my insurance and the hospital to get my surgery scheduled. The entire team was informative and worked with me to make a scary, life altering thing more manageable. As a working mother of four I needed to plan for my work absence and care for my children and his office staff quickly handled the disability paperwork. I had a fusion and discectomy at C3-4 and here I am 4 months later, no pain, back to work caring for my own patients, and enjoying my family. No more numbness in my arms, no more loss of balance. Even if I had half the recovery I have had, it would be a home run! Thank you Dr. Patel, Brian and the whole team in the Dearborn office!

Dr. Patel is an excellent doctor along with his P.A. Brian Vosko. Very attentive to your needs and professional. Unfortunately my circumstances have caused me to need two surgeries. Thanks to Dr. Patel and staff, I will not let anyone else perform spinal surgery on me. They did an excellent job with minimal pain post operation.

Amazing. Very professional, compassionate and thorough. Prior to my experience and surgery I was in agonizing pain. Immediately after surgery my pain and discomfort were GONE. I woke up in post op completely pain free, it was an Incredible feeling. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel and his staff. If you are experiencing back or some sort of musculoskeletal pain, this is the place to go. 10,000 stars!

One of the horrible doctor i have ever visited. No respect to patients timing... literally waited for 2hrs to even go inside and then another 1/2hr to be even seen by doctor. He didn’t even teach or shown us any strengthening exercises but in the doctors report he put down as spending 30mins showing all that. Even after waiting for so long we were seen by a resident doctor. If possible please go to a different doctor.

I have been extremely impressed with Dr. Patel, Brian, and all of their staff from day 1. I am now 10 post-op from having a laminectomy and C2 C3 fusion. I have regained full feeling in both of my arms and have no more pain. I pray to never be in the position to need their services again but if I do, I am definitely coming back to Dr Patel!

I could not be happier with my ACDF surgery after exhausting every non surgical method available. I've finally gotten back to living my life the way I did before my injury. Dr. Patel and his P.A. Brian have given me the best care and were always informative and honest about my options what to expect. The entire staff treated me like a family member with every visit. If you are dealing with a spine injury you should see him. He and his staff are very compassionate and knowledgeable.

I was 21 when I had my back surgery and I’m 23 now. I couldn’t be more blessed with any other doctors then them! My back was collapsed in the middle, they fixed it and did such a wonderful job! They saved my life in many ways! It was scary but it was worth it! Excellent, knowledgeable and friendly environment. The complete staff is very helpful and amazing. PA Brain is wonderful he makes you feel that any questions you have are welcomed. Myself, family and friends are amazed how well my surgery and recovery has been.

I had suffered from hip and leg pain for several years. While I was not in constant pain it got to the point where doing certain activities became very painful. After a year and a half of internal debate I decided to have the lumbar fusion Dr. Patel recommended. Almost immediately after the procedure it become clear that I had made to right choice. The pain that I experienced is now gone and I have returned to many of the activities that I stopped doing. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and his team they were great throughout the entire process.

Just had my second discectomy w Dr. Patel. The first was 8.5 years ago. I was very active in my youth and have developed a degenerative spine. I threw it out a while back and this time PT wouldn't help. He is my miracle worker. I can walk for the first time in 10 weeks. (Really tried to avoid surgrry).I would 100% recommend him.

Was supposed to have disc replacement surgery on 6 June 2022. Surgery was canceled on 3 June 2022 but nobody contacted me to let me know. Found out at 515 am on 6 June 2022. Called the MA and left message. She said she was going to find out what our next step is. Called and left messages on 13 June and 15 June. Neither the MA nor Dr. Patel have called me back. Very unprofessional.

Good Dr but the girl who fills out the forms for work is very rude, doesn't follow instructions on forms an makes alot of mistakes an you have to keep on her or you won't get them sent on time or correctly.

Incredibly- This has been a great experience for me. I was apprehensive as most are when dealing with back issues, let alone , back surgery. I am in recovery from major back surgery ( Laminectomy and Fusion ) and I couldn’t be better. What amazes me most is the careful approach Dr. Patel and his team took when I initially came. He took the conventional route initially, then gradually, based on progress or conditions- moved to surgical intervention. It was the best approach and move I could ever have thought. The surgery went very well and I feel I am ahead of the curve for healing. I could not more strongly recommend Dr. Patel and his team for the skill and professionalism they displayed in my care. I was hobbling around on a pinched nerve caused from a herniated disc...Dr. Patel and his crew fixed me up and gave me my mobility back...I pretty much had no pain after surgery, kicking myself in the butt for not having done it sooner. I am a RN, so I am picky when it comes to choosing my providers....I will absolutely recommend Dr. Patel and his team....I am grateful to them all.

I had been experiencing severe back, hip, and leg pain for years. After trying physical therapy and spine injections with no relief, I had back surgery in 2019. We proceeded with a L3-4-5 Laminectomy and L4-5 TLIF fusion. I was so scared to have the surgery, but I am so glad I had it!! I am extremely happy with the results. I can move around pain free. Thank you Dr. Patel and PA Brian for your patience and support. The office staff was great also.

My husband went to the er not being able to walk.Dr Patel was ask to look at his case. We were told that he needed surgery as soon as possible!! We were so scared !! But after talking with Dr Nilesh Patel and his PA Brian Vosko we went ahead with it. Let me tell you these two were the best !! We are beyond happy and pleased that they walked into our life’s !!!! My wife called today to schedule an appointment. She spoke with Ashley (sp?). We found Ashley to be abrupt and officious. We were told that the "doctor's protocol" required that we would have to drive to another Beaumont facility to get hard copies of test results that are available to Dr. Patel and his staff as an electronic medical record (EMR) by simply turning on a computer. Then we were told that the appointment would require 2.5-3 hours. Anyone with experience knows that this time would be spent filling out paper forms with the same information that is already on an EMR and waiting; no doctor is going to spend 2.5-3 hours with a patient on an orthopedic consultation. We never saw Dr. Patel, so cannot comment on him professionally, but his office and their "protocols" obviously have no regard for the time of their patients.

Dr Patel and his PA Brian are the best! I had a neck fusion in July 2017 and it was the best decision i made. My fingers no longer go numb or tingle. The pain is gone in my neck and shoulders as well. The doctors and staff are amazing and very professional and treat you with respect. I highly recommend them if you are thinking about getting surgery on your neck. ~ Cyn

I was skeptical at first but after meeting with Dr. Patel and his assistant Brian, they had calmed my nerves. Both there game plan and approach to my situation was flawless. I needed my S1,S2, and L5 fused. I've heard allot of stories about fusion leaving you disabled so I'll be honest I was scared. But after going through with the surgery I couldn't be happier! I've been recovering for 7 months now it wasn't easy but it was well worth it. I have no more pain in my back whatsoever and am finally cleared to return to work as a Truck driver. I would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone that is in need of an orthopedic surgeon. Thank you so much for everything i really appreciate it! You guys are amazing!

I was in so much pain , I came to see PA Drian Vosko, in dr Patel's office and he took 1 look at me and said it was my hip not my back! He referred me to dr Finch and he preformed hip replacement surgery. I'm pain free ! Glad I went to see Dr Patel and PA Brian Vosko!

Dr. Nilesh Patel is a great doctor he is very informative and attentive to his patience needs and concerns. He also is excellent at the Hands-On surgical procedure part of the his job as well and he has a great staff to assist him. Dr Patel is a doctor you can trust and know your in great hands. Dr Patel and his entire staff are very caring and I feel I have had the best care. My surgery was a success and when I had questions they were right on it and was on top of everything. Would highly recommend him.

This DR knows what he's doing. He saw a spot on an MRI that 3 other Drs did not. He got me an MRI with contrast and saw a small tumor growing on my spine. When I went back he explained about the tumor, and that I would have to go to a Neurosurgeon. He suggested 2 and I pick DR Alsaidi. Everything worked out, I got surgery and after a year of horrible pain, I am 99% back to normal without pain pills.

When I first went to see Dr Patel and was diagnosed with my back problem I was concerned about having the surgery. The day of my surgery I met the doctors and Brian Vosko and the staff of the hospital and was at ease and comfortable with having the operation. Now after 8 months I am pain free I can walk without pain and feeling better than I have in a very long time. I would highly recommend to anyone anticipating surgery to go to see Dr Patel. I am glad that I dId. Thank you Dr Patel and thank you Brian Vosco.

I can't say enough about Dr. Patel and his staff. I just had surgery a few weeks ago. The surgery was a success and I feel better than I have in over a year. His staff at his office and the surgery center were amazing and helped me to feel at ease. Brian was great and answered questions quickly during my recovery. Dr. Patel explained everything clearly to me before my surgery and afterwards at my follow-up appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and his staff.

I am so glad I went with Dr. Patel and also his PA Bryan Vasco was amazing! This team is 5 star all the way!! I had arthritis and severe stenosis between L4 and L5 in my back and they decided to do a laminectomy first which was a minimal surgery. The surgery was successful! I am so excited as the pain was crippling for any day to day activities. Prayer paired with Dr. Patels skill as a surgeon and Brian's expertise as a PA and their awesome communication skills were exemplary! Thank you for giving me my life back! I am 59 years old. If you are living in pain, I highly recommend that you go and check to see if they can help you. They will only do surgery if nothing else has helped and only if they feel they can help you.

Front staff was fantastic. The receptionist juggled 3 people at once (myself and another at the counter, and another on the phone), which was beyond impressive. I eventually get called in, and given the initial "evaluation" check, then my tech (Brian Vosko) asks me to sit tight. He then walks out of the room, leaving the door open (to room #9) and asks his fellow co-worker (which I could clearly hear), "how many more are left... I'm drained". Not ONCE was I asked about anything concerning my history or current lifestyle other than my current job (which he asked twice, cuz he must have forgot?). I booked this appointment a week prior when I was at my worst, but since I showed up feeling good, I was told that we will treat you how you are and not how you were. I totally get that 110%, and I understand. However, when I asked about signing some papers for intermittent leave from work, he refused to sign (I dont know how this works at all, so it is what it is, I wanted this signed as a precautionary matter in case I needed to call off for a flare up since my workplace instructed me to do so). Regardless of the refusal to sign (never planned on taking anymore time off as it is, which I did explain)... when I was trying to explain/understand everything about his refusal, I was verbally and non-verbaly told to stop talking at LEAST 3 times. I've heard great thing about Dr. Patel, hence why I drove so far to his clinic. But this review is not about him at all. Take it for what it is worth

I had a microdiscectomy to alleviate the sciatic pain I had in my leg for several months. The surgery was done by Dr. Nilesh Patel. The entire team did a fantastic job of taking care of me and the surgery was a success. I was really impressed with Brian Vosko, P.A. He has a great personality, making me feel at ease, and explains things in very relatable terms. I would recommend Dr. Patel to anyone who is seeking spinal pain relief.

On June 4th, Dr. Patel performed a laminectomy with Coflex insertion. The minute I opened my eyes, I knew that it had worked! Dr. Patel and his PA Brian Vosko are an amazing team and do an amazing job.

Dr. Patel is amazing. 6 months of pain that included 2 rounds of PT and 2 rounds of epidural steroid shots and was finally referred to Dr Patel. He took the time to talk through what next step was (discectomy) and answered all my questions. Even made sure I could get my surgery done the following week since it was almost the new year. I never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointment and dr Patel never made it seem like he was in a rush to get to his next patient. He took as much time as I needed with me. Highly recommend him

I would highly recommend Dr. Patel and his team! I had a L4/L5 microdiscectomy in August after having sciatic pain for 9 months and low back pain for 4 years before that. I did my research and saw that Dr. Patel was highly recommended. Surgery wasn’t pushed on me and I was able to make my own decision based on the necessity. I’m a 29 year old male and I was worried about having surgery being young but after trying every possible conservative option(PT, injections, rest, etc.) I knew it was time for surgery. My surgery was a breeze and I woke up with no sciatic pain and no surgical pain! My surgical pain was very well controlled and I never experienced sciatic pain again after waking up. I had a little numbness in my big toe after the procedure but that’s gone away now and my foot has returned to full strength. I am back to my normal life and I just passed my 3 month mark from the surgery. I am still very careful with how I move and exercise to avoid re-herniating but having the surgery was the best decision I’ve made. I walk 5-6 miles a day now with no pain and my low back pain that I had for 4 years is gone as well. Everyone’s situation is different but I would highly recommend Dr. Patel and you can determine if surgery is the right option for you based on your situation.

Helped me with my issue. He was very friendly and professional. His staff is very friendly. My only downfall was a visit at 9:30 I was there over 2 hours and was only with the doctor and/or assistant for 10 minutes. I understand doctors are busy but patients also have things to do that are important.
