SHTUFF happens so I needed a small loan. Certainly most friendly and knowledgeable staff. Made my loan process pleasantly painless.

I had a very pleasant experience at the shop today the young lady and young man greeted me and made sure that I found what I was looking for we're very professional very courteous and very helpful. I walked into the store to look at musical instruments, tools, and jewelry. Not a single store employee said nothing to me. The store seemed messy, out of date, and needs a remodel. The store employees definitely need to work on their customer service skills and interaction. I left the Lincoln Park store and went to the Southgate store where I had an awesome experience, plus some great instruments.

Dreama was courteous, honest and up front. While the other "pawn" shops expressed how hard it would be for them to sell my item and all, AJ&L looked at what my item sold for and was willing to put in the work to get out of it what they want so we both end up making out with a good deal. Thank you.

My brother went in today to grab a lawnmower in which him and the sales guy negotiated a price and was ready for purchase and when my brother went to go pick it up, they told him that they sold it. I had a portable air conditioner/ heater and went here to get it out of my garage seeing I only bought it when remodeling my house. When I was their the gentlemen was looking up to see how much eBay was sealing it for. After no luck finding it on eBay the lady behind the glass tried looking it up. They only could find a new one for $1,000.00 which I paid for it from HD The lady said we can’t find it on eBay or one that was used to get a price. So she called her manager and lady never told her about the btu or that’s it’s a heater also and said if you can’t find one then offer him $100. What an insult. Just because they couldn’t find it on eBay they want to low ball it. Before I went to see if they had any to get a rough price for it. They had a cheap 6,000 btu and no heat for $400.00. So I was thinking a 14,000 btu lg model with heat and remote would be priced more then the cheap model they have. I was thinking a $200 would be a fair price to sale it to them. But the lady said no I can’t find it on eBay so I stuck with only $100 for the unit. Word of advice don’t bring an item into their store that’s no on eBay because without eBay they are lost and don’t know how to give fair prices to their customers. The Detroit local is the best don’t use Lincoln Park or Southgate locations. They scam people and give low ball prices. Even Lincoln park jewelry and loan gave a reasonable price even without finding a used one to base their price.

I’ve had two experiences one with the Lincoln Park store and the other at the Southgate. I would recommend them for credit if you need it. Fantastic and everything was simple to do and they call to remind you to make a payment.
