Internet, I just had this pizza and having lived in Jersey City, it’s legitimately NJ. This pizza makes me speechless. There are meals you have that serve their purpose and then there are meals that touch your soul…this is one of those. Tried the Marg and NJ. Can’t wait for trying NY! Great pie SS! Keep it up!

This pizza is real good. I tried both the white pizza and the jersey pizza (sausage and pep combo) and enjoyed them both. The jersey has just enough heat to the pepperoni and white pizza deliciously garlicky, but I didn't love the dobs of ricotta (just a personal preference). Owner was super nice and talkative. Don't judge the store front or the lack of decor inside would rather have them put money into the ingredients. I have them at 4 stars (Pizza 5, Ambience 3, Value 4). Value was lowered to do the slices being smaller than I expected for Jersey style, but 5 for quality)

We used to order a half margherita and half chi-town pizza every once in awhile prior to the new ownership. The pizza was never soggy and the crust was always crispy. This pizza soaked through the pizza box. This is probably due to the amount of liquid in the toppings, but we had no issue previously. The margherita half always had fresh basil too, but this one came with no basil. The pizza had a good outside crust, but the rest of it was very soggy. The service was nice and the restaurant looked more welcoming. The new owners are probably still adjusting, so this may not be a typical experience.

First off, I came in during non-busy hours and was greeted by the owner who was super friendly and welcoming. The inside is fairly large and outdated, but that’s okay. I came for the food. I want to preface by saying I’ve had hundreds if not thousands of slices of pizza from around Chicagoland and can attest to what different styles of pizza should be or need. I had two slices, a margarita and a cheese. Let me tell you that these slices are some of the best east coast thin crust slices I’ve had anywhere in Chicagoland. Made me feel like I was back in New Jersey. The crust was perfect, the pizza sauce had a perfect bite and taste, and the flavors were just all there. I also want to take a second to mention that these slices weren’t even made fresh, these were two slices I picked from the heating trays that were premade earlier. I can only imagine how amazing the fresh stuff is… which really boggles my mind as to how they were this good. If you’re looking for a east coast thin crust, this is your place. Go try it.

Absolutely love me some New Jersey style pizza! I love that they're not trying to be something else! they're straight up east coast! Great pizza, super friendly staff!

What a great pizza joint hidden in the west suburbs of Chicago. This place has tasty, new jersey style pizza. Crust was crisp and the flavors were full. I tried the white pizza with fresh garlic/sausage. Delicious combo. I'll be back again to try more. Edit- came back and tried the sausage/pepperoni slice and it was awesome. 5 stars and a great place to grab lunch with friends.

It's hard to find authentic NY style pizza around the Chicago area, so when I heard such high praise for The Slice Spot I was a bit skeptical. After trying a few different kinds of pizza I can say they really are the real deal, and the pizza is some of the most authentic tasting I've had outside of NYC and NJ. The guy who runs it is super friendly and personable. We are lucky to have this gem of a restaurant nearby and we'll definitely be back!

Been there a few times. Their pies are really good NY style with the crust being just the right amount of crispy. We have tried the cheese, cheese with jalapeño and the white garlic (‘’Bianca”) and all have been really delicious. I tried something new this time around and decided to do the half/half and the quality didn’t disappoint. If he has the Detroit style I would recommend those too. The service is great and the owner is super friendly and always conscious of quality. It’s a nice spacious eating area just like a pizzeria. Nothing fancy but no one goes there for the ambiance just the food. Ha.

Not a fine dining establishment but boy do they know how to make pizza. Reminded me of home (NJ). Had to get the plain (cheese) pie first and it did not disappoint. Cheese, crust, sauce, flop, all on point. Well done. Can't get better pizza than this in the area.

The best service and team! The pizza is our favorite (so much that we drive 40 minutes round trip)! It’s the only thin slice spot around with great options and flavor.

Great spot for NY style pizza. Staff is all super friendly. Looks like the owner is a retired Marine. Stopped in for a snack today and got the Bruschetta. Was really good. Could use a balsamic reduction drizzle on top to really set it off. Had the pizza several times and like it. A great change of pace from all the Chicago stuff.
