Went for a family meet up on Sunday afternoon. We know the restaurant well and go back quite regularly as the staff are great and it’s always decent food in a pleasant atmosphere. One minor gripe, I didn’t have it but personally I thought the Steak and Frites was a bit light of food. Otther than that, superb as always.

Very impressed again with the Veggie Sunday roast. Others in our party had meat and they also enjoyed their meals a lot.

We booked a table for my daughters birthday for 7 of us. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. The staff made so much effort to make my daughters day special. The food was also great and the restaurant has a lovely laid back atmosphere, perfect for a Friday night. We will definitely be back.

Had a kids' meal, 4 oz burger and brownie with ice cream as desert, ABSOLUTELY LOVED BOTH. Size-wise was big enough even for me, so shared them with my boyfriend, who btw had fish and chips and was bananas about the sauce. Even mushy peas for the fish and chips had a nice twist to it. The meat on the burger tasted very nice, reminded of kebab, the ice cream in brownie was super tasty just on its own, and it all looked amazing. Totally worth it.

Managed to get a walk in table on Saturday night , we had cocktails , starters and steaks for our mains and everything was perfect . Will definitely be back soon.

I don't normally have a Sunday roast when we go out, but I'm so happy I did today it was amazing, well worth the 25 mile drive and defo be going back. Thank you.

Lovely atmosphere and food really tasty. Alcohol a little expensive but all in all really enjoyable meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

A very well presented menu with great food and friendly staff. Definitely one to be recommended. A wonderful meal in an obviously very popular restaurant. This beautiful little place is situated in a very pleasant village and was surprisingly very well attended for a weekday evening. The new menu is really varied and extremely well presented by the chefs. All the food was very tasty and the choices were quite varied. The staff were very friendly and attentive when needed. An absolute treasure which is to be highly recommended.

Staff are lovely, just not for me. Food was OK, limited choices. My boyfriend had steak and he said he was disappointed that there was only peppercorn sauce and no other choices.

Had such a wonderful time experience Sunday afternoon. I had the roast Turkey and my husband the roast beef! The food was absolutely stunning, so tasted and meat melted in my mouth ! The atmosphere was vibrant and cosy and the staff were so attentive! Honestly nothing ! Was too much trouble for the well trained, polite and attentive staff! We have travelled a lot lately and have missed this level of service and kindness, they even nipped next door to their cocktail bar to provide special drinks requests! Thank you so much

Amazing! The best roast dinner I've had in a long time. The service and staff are wonderful, the restaurant very reasonably priced and high quality food. Will definitely be back!

Great place. Eat here twice over the course of the weekend. First was evening meal. Steak and chips and the daily special monk fish and pork belly stir fry which was excellent. Nice dessert and service was great throughout. Booked again for Sunday lunch. 4 roast beef dinners. We all eat everything. It was perfect. Bottle of wine, some soft drinks and a couple of desserts. Amazing Sunday lunch. Nice and causal but very high quality food.
