This hotel is three star masquerading as four star. The building is historic and the location is perfect (short stroll to the kanal and lakeside). However the interior layout is a maze, rooms are an eclectic collection of different layouts and some do not meet modern standards. The roof pitch in our room prevented bed access on one side and the mattresses were like a pile of rocks. On the plus side the staff are very obliging, some English is spoken and breakfast of local fare is delicious.

We had 6 nights here. We used it as a base to explore the region. The beds were firm and comfortable. The en-suite was clean and roomy with a good shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot and cold food. The restaurant prices were very reasonable and the food very good. We would definitely stay here again if visiting this area. The hotel is right next to the famous hand cranked swing bridge that is opened 3 times a day to allow bigger boats to pass along the canal. You are a short walk to the lakeside where you can hire boats or just walk along and look out. There are some nice places to eat or have a drink.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to everything one may want to enjoy in Gizycko. Rooms are spacious, have comfortable beds and large bathrooms. The tv was pretty small and appeared tiny when watched while laying in the bed. The breakfast was ok’ish, the selection of cold and hood food could be better. The pool area has a swimming pool with a couple of jacuzzi like areas. One of them unfortunately didnt work. There is one dry sauna. All staff members were very friendly and we had a great stay.

Rooms are very outdated and can be modernized while keeping the historic elements and feel

Had a fantastic stay at Hotel Bruno; very accommodating staff checked us in an hour plus early. No problem. Room was warm and spacious enough for what we needed; very clean and tidy. Pool facilities were great also; very enjoyable. Price was good for October, with free parking and a large breakfast buffet. Good location for walking into the town, plus other sights nearby with the park, lake etc. Highly recommended for a stay in Gizycko; would definitely stay again if in the area.

Loved that the place as I love castles and historical places, great location on the canal and close to heart of Giżycka and Fort Boyen, my only issue was size of the rooms - quite tiny especially with couple of kids in tow.
