We saw this place on Instagram and drove an hr to check it out, the breakfast sandwiches were as delicious as they looked!! While there we opted to try the chicken cheese steak as well. Pics included in this post: Taylor ham, bacon, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser roll - absolutely perfect. Thicker pieces of Taylor ham (places both sides of the roll so no matter what side you took a bite, you tasted the Deliciousness of the sandwich). White American cheese (as it should!!) and eggs were the perfect amount Bacon, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser roll - reminds me of one of my favorite spots in NYC. Like the Taylor ham Sammie (above) - every bite was perfect Chicken cheesesteak - delicious. Chicken tasted slightly seasoned which gave it a nice touch. A little less meat than some other photos here, but can understand why they had so many options on the menu. Can’t wait to go to this place again!

This place is in a mini mall behind another mini mall that ironically looks like a converted chicken coop. Let me tell you. Seek this place out. This is the best Italian sub in the area and we have tried at least half a dozen of the best places. Bread fantastic, cold cuts delicious, portions generous, and the price is unbelievable. No pile of boiled ham between a single layer each of super thin salami and capicola. Nope. You are getting a nice layer of capicola followed by a substantial layer of salami and provolone cut thick enough to see easily. The pictures don't lie you get a perfect ratio of meat bread and toppings and this giant sub was 10 bucks! Never judge a book by its cover or in this case don't judge the Chick's by its coop.

Welp I’m starting off the year right with another hidden gem! If you follow me you know that’s all I find and man let me tell you ! Buffalo chicken sandwich with blue cheese and lettuce! TOP TIER! The sandwich was really good bread is amazing! Lol They have a nice din in set up as well. The place might be hard to find. But I can honestly say this sandwich was the best I had in a min and I’m from Jersey I drive to Philly for my sandwiches lol not anymore thanks chicks deli appreciate the first good impression 5 starts for me! MUST TRY. 2 Buffalo chicken cheese steaks 2 chips 2 sodas= $35.00 lunch time Honestly I would pay it every time!

Been going here for years and getting cheesesteak in wraps - whole wheat wrap, cheesesteak with mushroom and peppers is the best steak sandwich in Philly by far - especially when Gary makes it - beyond phenomenal, even when you take it to go - very attentive staff all around - hard to find, but there is always a bunch of customers to a space that actually has "negative feng shui" - that said, this place is all about the food! Thank me later!!!!! 1/22/23 place is still spectacular- tons of parking - and I suggest eating them there, especially the steaks

Love this deli!!!! I ordered a pizza steak & a side salad. Both were fabulous! Buffalo chicken cheesesteak is up next!!! Staff is so friendly! I highly recommend!

After my favorite local hoagie shop closed a few years ago, I searched for a suitable replacement. I may have found one with Chick's Deli! My Virginia ham and swiss cheese hoagie with lettuce, tomato, oil, and oregano was out of this world!! Absolutely fantastic ingredients on a perfectly fresh roll (a good roll makes any sandwich), made for a phenomenal hoagie! I actually wish I had ordered two, it was that good! I will be back to Chick's for sure!

AC cheese steaks are BETTER!!! I ordered a cheese steak with fried onions. Not much evidence of onions or cheese. The meat was pretty good as well as the bread but i’m not much for the soft role unless its toasted more on the outside. Im Spoiled with Atlantic City bread (Rando & Formica) which just makes it a better sandwich overall. Yeah, call me biased.

Coming in from a morning flight into Philadelphia, I stopped at Chick’s Deli with my family to have lunch. Chick’s has a lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great selection of sandwiches and snacks. I had an amazing Philly Cheesesteak and was very impressed with the delicious taste and the fast service! While some maintenance updates are desired, overall the restaurant has a great energy and I highly recommend it! Will be back any time I come to Philly in the future.

I have scoured Philadelphia proper for the greatest cheesesteak in the world. Imagine my surprise that it in fact lives in New Jersey.

Tiny hole in the wall surprised me with The Best cheese steak sandwich ever. the meat is fragrant, the bread seems barely there to hold it all together. the sandwich is A+++. working men's environment. byob welcome.

Place was legit! I was traveling from NJ to VA and asked to put the steak in a container so the bread didn't get soggy and it was a non-issue for Chick's. I got back to VA three hours later and the cheesesteak was amazing!! thanks so much and hit this place up!

We were visiting the area and planned to do the traditional Philly cheesesteak in downtown Philly. We had a friend tell us to go here instead it was far better! We took her advice, and it was phenomenal!!! We will be back!

Wanted a deli sandwich. Googled best delis near me. Found this one on list. Google was right. No joke best deli sandwich I've had in years. Legit.

We moved away from the area years ago, but when I found myself back in town, I drove well out of my way just to have a sandwich here, and dear God how I miss this place. It's just that good. Everyone is friendly, the sandwiches are executed to perfection. It's local as heck. Just go.

The Italian hoagie with sharp provolone was excellent. You can’t beat a Liscio’s roll, and the meat was folded to hold all of the lettuce inside. A+

Great local hole in the wall sandwich shop. They close early so get it while you can. Best known for their buffalo chicken cheesesteak but we have tried many of the sandwiches and they're all above average

Chicken cheesesteak disappointed A couple bones, fat, or gristle, not really sure but went into napkin Fried onions ruined the sandwich——didn’t like the flavor Went back for a cheese steak and made up for the chicken one. I would have given it 5 stars but bread not as good as Formica in Atlantic City, but meat and flavor were as good as the White House down the shore. Portion size was enough for two, but I managed to finish the sandwich. Now I need a nap.

You gotta be in the know to know where Chick’s Deli is. It’s down a narrow alley in the Cherry Hill business district. It is a wonderful almost New York style deli with great subs and a wide selection. Folks are very friendly and it is just a truly nice experience

What an amazing hidden gem. I had the cheesesteak the other day and it blew me away. The roll was soft and the steak was plentiful, flavorful and not dry. Probably the best cheesesteak ive ever had. The place smelled amazing too...like a delicious fresh deli. Ill be going back to try the menu but its gonna take a few trips as my next few will be to get that cheesesteak again. Glad i work close! Staff was also super friendly. This place is a must try! Dont miss out, your taste buds will thank you!

This place has the best subs around! Super delicious and they have friendly service. I give it 4 stars bc of the location. If you don't know how to get there it is a little tricky. If you want a tasty sub I highly recommend this place.

I'm 41 I love Chick's Deli. I grew up in Cherry Hill. I found this hidden gem when I was 17. Fresh deli meats, cheeses, chips, sodas, water etc. Sandwiches and cheese steaks are 🔥👌🏼 My go to is a cheese steak with Cooper sharp, bacon, eggs and hot sauce. Soft but steady roll caps it off perfectly. Joe thnx for everything over the years.
