The pictures make these rooms seem much nicer than they were. This is a really rough hotel and I do not recommend staying there. The prices are a steal but it comes at the cost of your safety, comfort, and quite frankly health. This place is beyond dirty, there are numerous sketchy people lurking about, and the smell of weed infests your room. The one staff member working at the front desk is protected behind glass and you hand your card through a slot, they don’t trust being safe in the hotel they run and neither should you. The amenities are not as advertised and your room will likely not have a closet as advertised. Be advised this hotel is not what it seems.

I am writing this review for anyone who is thinking of staying here. Just avoid it and stay elsewhere. I had a last minute stop in DC from a road trip. I stayed here for the night because it was cheap ~$80. No microwave, fridge, clean water, or other appliances. Room was dirty, and the whole motel smells like cigarette smoke and musty water. There was hair and dirt in the (tiny) bathroom. Then the room has cockroaches and BED BUGS! When I woke up the next morning I was covered in bed bug bites. Never again.

One of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed at. Me and my wife were visiting the area. And didn’t know the area. Woke up one night with bed bugs all over the body. The front desk acted like it was normal and moved me to a room across the hall that smelled like smoke and the bed bugs were worse in that room. Do not recommend this place at all. The places smells like pee and poop

Horrible experience room had bedbugs on both beds was only there 3 hours and when I went to the front desk to let them know the worker had no concern and when I ask for a manager I was told there wasn't one here. I even showed the worker picture and ask for a refund the worker told me he couldn't do a refund this is unacceptable.

Guest (not me) was taken from the hotel to the hospital, upon arrival back to the hotel, before check out. Belongings had been removed from the room. Most items were missing, phone, clothes, wallet with credit cards and IDs. Staff claimed to not know anything about his belongings. Email sent to corporate, no help. Not a trustworthy hotel. Very frustrating trying to get help!

My daughter stayed here for one night on 6/17/2023. The card machine was not working. First, for the cost $123.00, it was not worth it. Once she got to the room it was such a disappointment. Room smelled of smoke. No microwave or refrigerator, you would think with that price you would have one of those amenities. Especially in these modern times. False advertising. Pictures made the rooms look nice then you get to the room. The bed was very uncomfortable and there was no top cover on the bed, so with the air conditioner on it was very cold and turning it down made too hot. There wasn’t any tissue, or enough soap in the bathroom. She saw cockroaches in the bathroom. Not very personal, had to go to the lobby from the third floor to use one tiny microwave. First and last time any of my family or friends will stay here. Will not recommend this to anyone. Please don’t stay here. It’s not worth the money and time.

Got to this hotel and as soon as we walked in the room we found roaches. Then we left the air conditioner on and went out to the monuments but when we got back to the room the air conditioner had not helped with the heat at all and was blowing HOT air!!! The air was completely broken and did not work the entire time we were here (we ended up having to buy our own fan and still burnt up). We went to the lobby and there were dirty panties in the floor of the lobby. Absolutely the WORST motel we have been to and we will not make this mistake again! Was definitely not worth the money.

Its funny. My wife, dog, and I stayed here in 2017. And a buddy and I just got done texting about DC and it made me remember this hote. Forget all the monuments, and cool stuff we did around town. Anyhow, I ended up finding this place on Google Maps just peep the reviews. It’s hilarious that 5 years later nothing has changed at all. What a trip to come her and look at reviews just to remind myself of the worst hotel / motel experience we’ve ever had. Looking back on it now 5 years later I have nothing else to do but give this place 5 stars because I now have a story to tell the rest of my life about everything we saw go down starting in the parking lot, elevator, and hallways of this place. Then there’s the room! The roaches, the burn marks from crack stems on the dresser, cigarette holes and scuffed walls. It was incredible. Everyone should stay in a hotel this horrifyingly bad at least once in their life. Do it for the stories!

Roaches. Leaking tub faucet with no drain stopper to take a bath. No continental breakfast even though the website advertised this (covid was blamed, but that it no reason to cancel the breakfast). Lack of options in the vending machines. No mini fridge. No extra blankets. No complimentary toiletries other than soap. Not much of anything really. Old rooms with poor quality repairs.

Today is Oct 17, 2021. Today I left my room to go get breakfast and walking around Downtown DC for awhile. After been gone for 2hrs I decided it’s time to head back to my room. Once arriving back to my room I had notice some of my belongings was missing and cash I left on the nightstand. Once I had notice my belongings was missing I went to Notify the staff of the motel she told me it was housekeeping, so I ask her do she have my belongings she no. What the 🤬 you mean no. I called the 1800 number the on the phone told me they shouldn’t be going in your room while you’re still staying there without you knowing. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE THE STAFF AT THIS MOTEL LIKE TO STEAL

Got bedbug bites. the staff is nice and the room looked clean at first. but the bedbug bites were real and my wife needed to take antihistamine for 5 days after the stay to manage the pain and itch from 50 odd bites.

I would say that this is the nicest Motel 6 out of all of the Motel 6’s I’ve ever stayed at and that speaks volumes. It’s only nice because it’s in Washington D.C and you shouldn’t expect much. Apparently they don’t like 3rd party bookings and they did not want to honor mine and tried to make me pay twice after I had already prepaid online and expected to just walk in the door, show ID and get my room key. Check out is at 11am and they sure as hell don’t let you forget it.

Walls under uv light look like a jackson polik painting, got a contact high walking down the hallway, passed out women in the elevator first night, bathtub was yellow from not being scrubed. Nice people but would recommend going anywhere else.

Do not waste your money or sanity at this place. The facility is horrible inside and out. The amount of marijuana smoke inside was atrocious. Our first room had bed bugs that we had to take pictures of to prove to the front clerk; we were offered another room which was also horrible. The amount of people who were not guests hanging around smoking marijuana in front of the doors and drinking made feel very unsafe. Needless to say we caught a nap and were out by sunrise.

One word: Hellen! From the moment we arrived she was friendly, helpful, and understanding. She made our stay a pleasant one. Please give her a raise. Thank you again, Hellen.

Not as bad as the other reviews. Which I wish I had read before renting the room. There where patches in the ceiling that looked like an inept 9th grader had completed. There was hair in the shower. Didn’t see any cockroaches or sign of bedbugs, thankfully. The ac smelled funky as did the hallways. The shower sucked. And the water tasted awful, though I think that’s a dc problem and not a motel 6 problem. Not the worst I’ve stayed in

I will never go there again. No fridge in the room. The floor smells like urine. Homeless people ask for food at the reception area. 🙁

I haven't been a guest at this location 10 plus years. Back in the days It was just another little rundown joint. It may have changed. The one in Camp Springs mmm A few years ago I was a guest. I wished to rate it -1 due to housekeeping & traumatizing noise

I did not stay in the motel for more than 30 minutes. I saw the condition of the room and also the surrounding area and felt completely unsafe and RAN out of the building. There were people lurking in the hallways and around the outside of the building. Would not stay here even if someone paid me. Also, did not receive any refund for not staying in the hotel.

Room smelled, our room was not cleaned any of the 4 days we stayed eventhough we ask for it to be several times! Our trash was running out into the floor our toilet was clogged for 3 days before anyone came to fix it the only way we got clean towels was to go get them!!! Horrible experience!

It was so gross, so dirty and smelly. Heard other people on my floor yelling and slamming doors all night. Group of men outside cat calling myself and my 17 yr old niece. Never again.

I already play five stars, not because of any of the amenities or the quality of the place. But for its discretion, if forever reason you want to find somewhere where you can do whatever you want and not be bothered by the police, then this is your spot

Standard rooms. Some are spacious due to corner locations. Overall good. People are constantly coming to the location but noise is minimal from experience in being a the location.

the rooms are god awful and you can hear any and everything in the surrounding rooms and parking lot staff did their best with what they had it's nice because it's in DC, and not the suburbs. but the part of DC that it's in is still not very close to anything and can be unpleasant.

Very disappointed by our experience. The first room we got was very unclean so we had to switch a room to a non- smoking room which smelled just as much as a smoking room. Generally the whole place was not clean and was very sketchy especially after dark

Me and my boyfriend stayed one night at this location and the beds was horrible the pillows are horrible. The best part there was Roaches in the bathroom and the elevator as well I'm never staying here again. I think should receive a refund for this. You expect to have a ok room but you can't cause there is roaches in the bathroom coming out everywhere you have to have something on your feet cause if the bugs. I think this is very unprofessional for a business to have this problem. There water damage on the ceiling and something looks like blood on the wall Were the beds are. I'm never staying here again

We booked a room with a king size bed. Upon arrival we are told our room is not available and are given a roo. With two twin sized beds. We open the door to the room only to find the room had obviously been occupied, the beds both have been slept in. So we are given another room. This room the beds were made. However the room did not smell clean, there was hair on the lid to the toilet and on the floor along the tub, there were cigarette holes in the shower curtain and the cover on one of the beds, the mattresses were very worn. The place is a disgrace. The only positive thing about it is there is parking. If I could take stars away from this place I would!!!

There’s a first time for everything.. and this is the first and last time I’ll ever stay at a Motel 6. Where do I begin? First and foremost the front desk agent was the best thing about the place. Her spirit and smile is too good to work at a dump like that. The first room I got to smelled like a box of cigarettes. I stood there for less than 5 min and decided that this wasn’t gonna work. I was able to switch rooms with another guest who checked in right after me…being that they hadn’t made it to their room yet. I get to the room - cool. The beds were uncomfortable, walls are thinner than paper, and in the light fixture in the bathroom im just gonna assume the black spots were mold. Also the ceiling in the bathroom is bubbling up. I’ve never stayed in a place as badly as this. I didn’t expect a mansion but I also didn’t expect this travesty. People deserve better since we are spending money to be there. Also, there was a woman who kept harassing people and ultimately fell asleep in the hallway. I believe the police were called but still - management do better.

The employees were not helpful. I think I detected a hint of rudness while checking in just because I asked her to repeat what she had said so I hear her correctly. Also we seen about 5 roaches. If you need somewhere cheap to stay go for it...but if you don't have to, I wouldn't recommend it. P.s. Has a odor through out the hallways.
