A very nice little park. Lots of people roaming around. Lots of special photography going on. Couples, families, children posing. A nice relaxing morning. A lot of steps, if you choose to go that way.

Beautiful park right on the Potomac River in North Old Town. Usually pretty quiet, this park has a great mix of walking paths, open grass, and shady spots to sit. Lined with multiple benches and some picnic tables, you can come for a whole day, or just walk through. Views on the water range from National Harbor all the way up to Navy Yard and the Capitol Building. As locals, we come here all the time and always find it enjoyable and relaxing. During heavy rainstorms, the park does get very wet. So just be aware after rain, it will be muddy or even full on flooded.

My dog and I make frequent trips to this park. It is always beautiful, and we often find something new!

Very nice walking path along Potamax River with a view of Maryland and Washington, DC. Walking path is located on North Virginia side. Contains benches and trees for shade. Nearby is a sailing school. Thus, sailboats were out practicing. Also, within walking is beautiful Old Towne Alexandria with more water sights, restaurants, bars, and other tourists attractions.

A volunteer group called The Riverkeepers is here regularly picking up trash that's washed up on the river's edge. The second picture is a windsurfer on the river.

Wonderful park for taking a walk and enjoying the day. Nice benches by the river and a volleyball net. The water wasn't the greatest next to the boardwalk which dropped one star (1/2 if I'd could).

I'm an absolute fool for a park by the water. This is within walking distance of the Crown Plaza hotel in Old Alexandria. The pictures are from along the North end. Great place to relax and watch the sunset.

There is plenty of space to lounge around. They have benches and a volleyball court. Nice panoramic view of the river. The only caveat about this park is no access to restrooms.

This is a great park to run, walk or have a picnic! Very clean and safe. Only thing be aware of cyclist, many of them are great and will let you know when are passing through, other will go fast.

It's a good space to walk with kids, run or make a little pic nic. Also there are space for bikes and space reserved only for walk.

Nice city park with walking paths, volleyball court, benches, a river view, and plenty of green space. One of alexandria's excellent city parks.

This is the perfect little spot for a nice walk, having lunch by the water and really anything else. It was really a lovely place to just sit. Will come back when I’m in town!
