I've always been told that it's a must try in Boone,NC. That explains why there is always a wait. Loved it! Especially how organic the ingredient where. There's indoor and outdoor seating, the latter gives an amazing view of downtown Boone.

This eatery is now my favorite place in Boone. Our server Carrie was awesome! She made some great suggestions. We were all in the mood for a burger. Considering the most important factor, LOCAL! They source their meats from a farm only 6 miles away. Our decision was made! The boys had the mushroom Gouda burgers & sides of soup & I had the Watauga and a side salad with cilantro dressing. It was exactly what I needed after a long week. I overheard my husband say it was one of the best burgers he has ever had. And he is a picky guy since he is a wonderful cook. The owner Nova took a moment to chat with me. There is a something about her that makes a person feel like they are visiting an old friend. There is no wonder she is running this unique eatery. Even the decor makes me feel happy! Wild Craft Eatery is a gem! Visited again on April 21 & when the boys said where should we go I said, to the best place in Boone where I can trust the ingredients and quality! We were greeted so warmly by Nova and Carrie was once again our server. We truly feel like family when we are in their restaurant! There is creativity & love in their menu. I added a new video and pic for the updated review. PS Thank you for the lovely gift! We will make good use of it and think of you when we do!

Simply delicious! My wife had the biscuits and gravy (savory mushroom flavor), and I had the pork tamales. Make sure you ask for their hot sauce; I tried a pineapple tomatillo sauce and it was sweet and finished with some good heat.

Great local restaurant in Boone, NC. Simple yet great craft cocktail menu. Several dishes sounded amazing so it was hard to make a decision. Knew I couldn't go wrong with either choice. I picked the Havana plate and was not disappointed. Great service. Great food. Even a little extra inspiration for my hiking trip that weekend.

We finally got to eat on the patio of Wild Craft Eatery in Downtown Boone. It is right on Main St. and very cozy! I had one of the best Bloody Mary’s ever! You could tell it was homemade and not from a mix. For dinner I really enjoyed “The Yardbird” which is Fried Chicken Breast on a huge bed of mashed potatoes surrounded by Broccoli Florets! No leftovers on this one! My wife had “The Veganista” salad with grilled Tempe! She really enjoyed it! Can’t wait to go back!

We were visiting Boone for the day to find our Christmas tree and wanted to find an iconic Boone restaurant to eat at... this was it! My wife is vegetarian and usually has limited options on a menu and was overwhelmed with all the choices she had here! I definitely like a protein with all my meals and they had plenty for me to choose from as well. The whole vibe was perfect for the Boone setting and the service was top notch as well. We look forward to going back and trying other options on the menu! Definitely stop in and try them!

Nori Amore was pretty good! Tempeh, grains and avo with great flavors. The La Paz quinoa plate was kind of boring though, basically dressed up sweet potato. Our kid loved the kids menu quesadilla and it was generously portioned. Great environment and waitstaff!!

I went at an odd hour between lunch and dinner so it was uncrowded and service was very quick. The waiter was great and had helpful recommendations when I asked. The hibiscus tea (unsweetened) was delicious and he swapped out my nearly empty glass with a new one before I needed it. Mahi Sammy was delish - great combo of light crispy toast and flavorful fish with cilantro/aioli/coleslaw. It was as savory and satisfying as a pulled pork sandwich for a pescatarian. I also recommend the Gouda tomato bisque - it's bomb. Raspberry white chocolate cheesecake finished off this all around great meal.

Cool local favorite in Boone right on the main drag. Their menu selections are extremely creative and delicious. There are tons of vegan and vegetarian options, with lots of Tempeh (I am a Tempeh lover). There are options for meat eaters as well! We had the Mahi Mahi tacos, absolutely delicious. The fish was moist, grilled, well seasoned, and the accouterments were yummy. We were so tempted by the Tempeh Reubens... next time! They have a nice selection of creative cocktails and craft brews. The atmosphere outside is really nice and covered. Inside is definitely not as nice. Dogs can join you outside (ours did and was fussed over!) Our server was super friendly and took good care of us. They have parking, which is great because it's hard to find parking downtown Boone. It's a popular spot, so you may have to wait. They do offer takeout (you need to call, they don't offer online ordering).

Best food I’ve had in years! Rubeno royal enchilada works very well with their in house sweet and spicy salsa. Interesting decor and option for outdoor dining.

This is our fourth time eating at this restaurant and we continue to love it. The food is healthy-centered without tasting like "health food." Their ingredients are locally sourced when possible. The food is only rivaled by the friendly and knowledgeable service.

Super great staff. Friendly and informative, as we were new to the area. Vegan beyond burger and sweet potato quesadilla were excellent. Casual atmosphere, wet in and outside dining.

A wonderful eating experience. I don’t often rate 5 stars as it has to be a great overall everything and this was deserved. Staff was polite and quick without being overbearing. They have nice outdoor seating although it is a smaller place overall. My only nit pick would be the music was a bit too loud especially inside. But the food is what we’re here for and it did not disappoint. As a newbie, I asked what I should try and was recommended the sweet potato enchilada. Would not even have been on my radar had I not asked given the lack of meat but I gave it a go. It was awesome. The enchilada sauce and walnuts were great together and every time I got a bit of that cojita cheese was a wonderful bite. I would totally get it again if I were able to come back.

A very cozy, accommodating and hospitable place to sit and have a nice lunch with your family or friends. The food was delicious and plating was presentable with all types of diet options. I definitely recommend this place if you ever find yourself in Boone, NC

Friends recommend Wild Craft so we stopped by on a Sunday night and we were seated quickly. Our server, Clayton, did a wonderful job and was very helpful. My Wife loved the ginger-carrot soup. She also had had a margarita and said it was perfect. I ordered the Watauga Burger and it was spectacular. Ordered some chips (just okay) but the salsa was really good. Atmosphere, service and food earned Wild Craft 5 Stars!

My wife is a vegan and wanted to go here. I honestly had no hopes of getting a good burger here but it was absolutely fantastic. I was really impressed with the burger and toppings, excellent meat, cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. I highly recommend this place for vegans and meat eaters as the food is excellent and the staff is wonderful, very attentive and friendly. Overall a great place to eat.

Stopped here on the way to the Alpine Coaster. The food was good, just took a long long long time to come from the kitchen. The chicken burrito was mostly rice and the burger wasn't a favorite for my daughter. She ordered soup but did not tell her it was spicy, so she was unable to eat it and she was supposed to get chips with her burger but they were missing. The special tamale was delicious. Overall, a lackluster experience.

This is a great little place to eat and has many vegan and vegetarian options!! A solid 4.5 because my wife's meal was completely the wrong meal brought to our table. Everything tasted and looked great minus our chicken slightly dry. If you want a peaceful, quiet meal, I suggest you eat inside because of Boone traffic. All in all a good experience here!

I would give this place 5 stars but I simply cannot. I was so excited to try this place, the pictures of the food always looks so amazing on their instagram. I got the Cuban rice and beans. I've made this exact dish myself at home many times so I knew I'd like it. While the ingredients were fresh and I really appreciated that, it was also bland. The rice and beans were dry and not seasoned at all. I got two thin pieces of avocado. I am biased because at home I season my beans and rice , I also make an avocado crema. So maybe I felt let down bc of my own expectations but my friend agreed that her nachos were also bland and her cheese wasn't even melted. We were ready to go home so we didn't bother to have it remade. The prices also don't match the plate to be honest. They tempt you with all of the wonderful ingredients and then barely give you any. I mostly just had a plate of bland rice and beans with a tiny bit of mango salsa and plantain.

Walking through downtown Boone, the wife and I worked up an appetite. After window shopping a few restaurants we decided on Wild Craft Eatery. After walking in, the humble appearance of the restaurant had us second guessing our decision, HOWEVER the food reassured us that our choice was the right one. The wife ordered a grill cheese sandwich with avocado and tomato. She also ordered tomato gouda soup. I ordered a hamburger with the side. Unsure of what my side would be, I became a copycat and also ordered tomato gouda soup. The wait wasn't too long. We chatted and before we knew it, the food was in front of us. A few bites in my better half said her sandwich was delicious. Two spoonfuls of soup later, she commented the soup was even better. In fact, she said this was the best tomato soup she had ever tasted. My burger was no less spectacular. It was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted in NC. And the tomato gouda soup was the best I've ever tasted. The only negative was I thought the burger should have come with a side of fries. But regardless, it was worth the cost. We'll definitely return on our future trip to Boone.

My husband and I don’t normally go to the same restaurant more than once while on vacation as we like to try different spots, but we did here. We got the Habana Plate, the Garam Masala Yellow Curry, and the Nori Amore and they were all amazing. Andrew was our server, and he was so attentive and gave great recommendations. My husband also absolutely loved their apple pie. Wish we had a place like this back home!

It is always so good I hardly thought of getting food pictures. Environment and food are excellent. Times a bit longer but it’s a pandemic issue with everyone being short staffed. Totally understandable. We come to Boone once a year and this is a must every time.

There is something special about Wild Craft. It is truly a unique restaurant that draws the most interesting people through the door. It has everything – excellent location, outdoor seating, intimate space inside… And a new amazing live edge bar - with house-made cocktails that are pieces of art to the eye and palate! My vegan friends can enjoy beautifully plated global fusion cuisine while I devour a juicy locally sourced burger! Take the local tempeh tacos vs mahi tacos challenge and everyone wins!! they're doing it right here… Locally sourced food, vegan, gluten-free options,…environmentally friendly and awesome house-made hot sauces that you can take home! Great staff And a charming space that is so unassuming from the outside… My new favorite place in Boone for sure! Did I mention the killer bar? And the delicious cocktails? Saddle Up for a "Garrpeggio"!! Maybe they'll name a drink after me when they see this review!! Love me some WILD CRAFT!
