I didn’t have high hopes for the vegan food at this place. But I was blown away. All my food was well seasoned and delicious. It was so good that I went back the next day to try their other options. The fries are delicious and the ranch was spot on. The portion sizes are great and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend stopping by if your in the mood for some great vegan junk food. Will stop by here every time I visit Johnson City.

Amazing meal, perfect for the omnivores, vegans, and vegetarians in our group. Service was stellar! Our favorite dish was the vegan garbage fries. Will absolutely be back.

Perhaps the most redeeming trip to a restaurant in a while. A lot of tension formed around Johnson City’s premier after-hours burger place when it changed hands. Jeff had become some kinda downtown icon. Switch to Pepsi, new hours, policies, etc… and I admit, something felt off. My friend group kinda stopped going and my wife and me drifted away from our regular trips. But the other night we decided to go back on a whim. Time changes things, and you know what? That’s okay. It’s charm is still there, the food is still great. They still have great music! And I think that’s what it’s really about. Keep the dream alive guys!🍔 And thanks for hanging in there!

Me and my friend waited at wild Wing cafe for 27 minutes exactly, not even seated even though we were told 5 minutes of a wait. We came in and immediately we received great hospitality. Food is absolutely amazing as well, burgers have a spectacular flavor and the fries are perfectly salted. They also use little indicators of how the Patty's are cooked so there are no mistakes, server gives great attention and timing to customers as well. Thank you for making our day♥️

First time here & definitely coming back . Literally the only restaurant we found open on Christmas Eve as we were walking through Market Square & enjoying the Candy Land Christmas tree displays!

Always a great downtown food place. Is you're vegan, good news! They have a vegan special, DAILY, if I remember correctly and it's always made to perfection. The cooks are great guys and good at their job. The waitresses are nice. If you're hungry and looking for a nice filling meal. Go and try mid city!

The food was great but we had the wrong waitress. We saw another waitress that was being very attentive to her tables and giving excellent service. We want to give it another shot just because the food was good enough for a return visit. But we are going to ask for a different waitress because the one we had must have thought that her looks would get her tips.

The service was wonderful but my food was a little salty for what I ordered, yummy but salty. I would definitely try again and give one of the salad or burgers a try!!

The green chili veggie burger special they had while I was in was so freaking good! Also, the fried mushrooms are on point and I loved that they let me upgrade my fries to them! Add all that to their food presentation being adorable.

My recent visit to Mid City Grill in Johnson City turned out to be a delightful surprise. Despite initial hesitations caused by the exterior appearance, this hidden gem proved to be a fantastic dining destination. With their amazing burgers, friendly service, freshly made fries and potato chips, and cool 80s decor, Mid City Grill exceeded my expectations. The restaurant's efforts to maintain cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere were evident inside. It's true what they say about not judging a book by its cover, as the outside may have appeared sketchy, but inside, it was a completely different story. Mid City Grill truly knows how to create mouthwatering burgers. From the first bite to the last, the patties were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The attention to quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation shone through in every bite. Accompanying the burgers were the freshly made fries and potato chips, and they were simply awesome. The fries were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. The potato chips were even more impressive, offering a homemade taste that elevated the overall dining experience. The friendly service at Mid City Grill added another layer of enjoyment to my visit. Adding to the charm of Mid City Grill was the cool 80s decor.

First time in Johnsonville, group of 13 looking for a place for dinner. I'm not big on burgers, but I don't regret it. Food was great and service same. Prices are decent and serving portions big. French fries are thin and cut and fried upon order. Sweet potatoes and onion rings are also delicious. Excellent choice.

The atmosphere is cozy and the food was amazing! Prices are unmatched for how good the food was and the portions. Special shout out to our server Will B! Your energy is everything! Made us feel at home so thank you!

This was our first visit to Mid City Grill and we look forward to returning! When we saw there was a dedicated vegan menu we knew we had to give it a go. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious and portions were large. The staff were so friendly and genuine. Definitely recommend!

Fiance and I have been here several times and it's always good! Stopped in last night for a couple of burgers and it didn't disappoint. She got the breakfast burger with a side salad and I got the Outlaw burger with the sweet potato fries. Everything hit the spot and was delicious, even the salad! Waitress was new but did good and was very friendly, as is everyone else here. Always a great place to stop downtown with great prices.

If there were more stars I would give them to Mid City Grill. Had dinner there this evening and the server was awesome and he kept the drinks full. I had the Beckinator burger with fries. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the bacon mayonnaise was… the best. The price was great, so much food for the price. For a family of 5, we spent $100 and that is with two appetizers. Support your local business and walk away with a full stomach and needing a nap.

Amazing vegan options the best vegan burger I have ever had in the caliente . I am not vegan but lately have been eating these alternatives for some health issues. So being a meat eater I was very impressed by this option . Also their salad were fresh and their house apricot garlic dressing was amazing. We also got the vegan garbage fries. This place is amazing. Highy recommend !

Love the burgers they make! They ask you how you want your burger prepared which was awesome and considerate! I highly recommend getting their cheese trio which includes cheese bites, fried ravioli, and jalapeños poppers! I can’t recommend this place enough!

Grateful they have a few gluten free vegan options - it’s pretty good for diner food. The gf bun always falls apart and the tofu sandwich could use some more tofu. The vegan garbage fries are alway good and their vegan ranch - perfection!! Really appreciate the delish vegan gf desserts they often have!

This is a gem of a restaurant in downtown Johnson City. The decor is really cool, especially if you're into retro movies and games. The food itself is fantastic, as a vegan I am in love with their full vegan menu offerings, including multiple burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers. They also have some amazing and creative specials every week. The service is always great, can be a bit backed up when they're busy but every server I've had has been great. A fun and delicious spot for food.

The veggie burger was SO GOOD! You wouldn't even know it wasn't meat if no one told you. The bun was crispy and fresh! They also have desserts with vegan options that are 😋

A JC late night classic - all the local musicians know how valuable this place is. Friendly staff and amazing cheesecake!! <3 Please stay around forever! Johnson City nights out and sweaty gigs at The Hideaway wouldn’t be complete without Mid City to finish off the night!

BEST vegan food ever!!! I am also Gluten-Free, and they were so knowledgeable about everything. Replaced my bun with a G-F bun that was delicious!! The nicest staff, and so accommodating. 10/10 highly recommend

I've never had fried banana peppers before. Blew me away. The burger I got was called a heater I think? It was advertised as spicy but did well to balance the flavor of spicy with the spiciness of milk. I've always hated spicy foods that were too spicy to enjoy in flavour.

Was out and about with a friend, and decided to try a new place. We split garbage fries app, she had the outlaw burger & golden, crispy onion rings with a tangy ranch dip, I wanted to try something different, not on every other menu so I opted for the Johnson City pork dip & fried pickles on the side. She enjoyed the burger (even more after reheating), and I also enjoyed my unique pork dip!

I was extremely impressed when we called ahead to inquire about seating for our family of six that they were willing to reserve a table for us. Our waitress was very sociable and made our experience pleasant. Since she was so friendly, I was surprised that she didn't inform us that she was turning our table over to another person during our meal. The food was delicious and I would like to go back when I'm in the area again.

My husband and I had a really good time here. The waitress was very sweet. I will say towards the end of the night she kind of wondered off and didn't quite pay attention to our eating once the food was served. it was very good. The prices are a little high. I think if you go there you will have a good time!

Warmly greeted by the staff at the door. Great menu as well as a complete vegan menu as well! Salad with grilled chicken was very fresh. Probably need a larger plate to hold it all. Even the basic cheeseburger has a savory flavor with a generous side of crispy fries. Definitely a great experience that I’d recommend. Great music and local vibe!

Consistently the best burgers in town. Twice cooked shoestring fries, or perhaps fresh cooked house-made chips? Yup, those rock too! You just can't beat Mid City Grill for the go-to cravings you NEED to satisfy.

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. Definitely the best one in the area. Good portions, good prices, quick service. Sides aren't the best but definitely not the worst. Will be eating here again.

I really like the food here, and they have great vegan options. However, when you order food for pickup, and they give you a time it is supposed to be ready, you don't expect to stand in the restaurant for an extra 30 minutes waiting for your food. If our order is supposed to be ready at 7:08, there is absolutely no reason that we should have to wait until 7:40 to get it, while still paying full price. If you have to order your food for pickup, I would absolutely NOT recommend going here.
