This
is
hard
for
me
to
write
because
the
owner
seems
like
a
nice
person
and
I
like
to
support
local
businesses.
However,
I've
tried
this
place
around
6
times
over
the
past
year
or
two
and
have
never
had
what
I'd
consider
to
be
good
fried
chicken.
My
usual
order
is
the
3
tender
meal
with
hot
spice
level.
Each
time,
the
chicken
is
just
not
very
good
when
compared
to
a
place
like
Rocky's
in
Asheville.
I'm
pretty
sure
most
of
the
problem
is
the
gluten-free
breading.
The
breading
always
comes
out
very
dark,
almost
like
it's
overcooked.
The
actual
flavor
and
texture
of
the
breading
is
a
bit
off
as
well
when
compared
to
a
place
like
Rocky's
-
it
seems
thicker
and
greasier,
and
separates
from
the
chicken
too
easily.
Finally,
the
chicken
has
a
tough
texture
like
the
tenders
have
been
cooked
just
a
bit
too
long.
Nick's
in
Kingsport
has
the
same
problem
with
the
meat
of
the
chicken
tenders
seeming
somewhat
overcooked,
but
the
breading
on
their
chicken
is
WAY
better
-
much
closer
to
how
Rocky's
does
theirs.
The
sides
at
Voodoo
are
usually
great,
and
you
get
a
lot
of
options
to
choose
from,
but
ultimately
I
go
to
a
fried
chicken
place
for
the
fried
chicken.
The
fried
chicken
here
is
just
not
what
I'd
consider
to
be
good
Nashville-style
hot
chicken.
It's
just
OK.
