Took my wife and a few friends here for her birthday and we had a good time! They several recreational attractions here including shuffle board, ski ball, a few arcade games, Yankton"s only snooker table, golf simulator, and of course the main attraction, "Axe Throwing!" Booking reservations was pretty simple through the website, requires small deposit, and check in was quick, easy and pretty much on time. You can just walk in but I would recommend reserving times for axes and golf because they do have live bands and other special events from time to time like the evening we were there. It is only a soda, water, beer and wine bar with a limited food menu so you may want to eat before coming however they are family friendly and kids are welcome so don't expect to get any mixers. For those who haven't thrown, sacred to throw, and or don't know how/don't think they can throw an axe and get it to stick, their super friendly and extremely helpful staff will walk you thru it and have you sticking the an axe in no time. Really like the set-up here, place looks nice, equipment, boards, scoring machines, bar, ect. are all in real nice shape (except snooker table) and modern not to mention that they have ongoing updates in progress! Prices overall were reasonable and on par with norm. All in all, I would recommend checking out the Boat House! Promise, you wont be disappointed!

It is fairly nice here with all the stuff to do. Darts, axe throwing, corn hole, bowling (but wasn't working) and I think pool table and a few other things. We just stopped to meet family there. We had some food which was definitely just bar food. All fried. No grilled or other items. This place would do good by expanding their menu. The service was good. Wasn't very busy. Kids had fun with the stuff to do there. It is definitely worth checking out for some drinks.

We had a fantastic time at The Boathouse. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The whole family had a blast throwing axes, playing Skee Ball, and shooting hoops. The food was really great too. We'll definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

What a great fun place and wow CLEAN! The axe throwing is unlike anything I've seen in the whole country! Super friendly folks. Pizza is crispy and fresh and they have a HUGE beer and wine selection. You need a fun night? Do yourself a favor and go see Chris and the crew down there!

Outstanding facility and staff! We really enjoyed the huge variety of games they had. We played shuffle board, pool, and threw axes…it was a blast!

Kids had a blast with all the different games. Great drink selection including microbrewery drafts!

This is the place to be in Yankton. The service stands above the rest! Everyone that works there is amazing. It doesn't matter the reason, The Boathouse can accommodate. Whether you want to booze it up, play games with the family, or eat tasty food, they will make it a fun time.

To start when got there the environment was great. Me and my group had the golf simulator and hardly got to use it was broken for most of the time and other groups were waiting. The food was pretty good but I was diagnosed with food poisoning after I was not feeling good after and went to the doctor and he told me I had food poisoning. I did not eat anything else that night.
