The place is amazing and the food is wonderful. It was my first time and I strongly recommend it because the price, amount and quality work. They bring a great service. The only thing that they can improve it is have the tables cleaner and that's it. Not enough staff made sense but it should better because nowadays less people can hire and I assumed this was the reason. I love it

Pantano Bar is such a hidden gem!! They specialise in Venezuelan street food such as arepas and tostadas, and they have some very unique vegan options on their menu! 😍 I tried the spectacular El Vegano arepa (a type of bread made from white corn, that is fried to make it crispy on the outside, and then stuffed) (GF, $18). This was absolutely PACKED full of delicious fresh ingredients including eggplant, roast capsicum, coleslaw, vegan cheese, beetroot, crispy French fries, and more! The “Comeflor” burger was also delicious (can be served in an arepa or bun). It contains a black bean burger, chipotle BBQ sauce, onion rings, pickles, vegan cheese, beetroot, coleslaw, and Guasa (a traditional Venezuelan avocado sauce) ($17). Another unique menu item is the Tostones (deep fried green plantain) which are loaded with a HUGE amount of toppings including black beans, avocado, coleslaw and Guasa (GF, $15) - definitely give this one a go! 👌🏻👌🏻 We also tried their vegan tacos which come with 3 different fillings: roasted veggies/vegan cheese, avocado/tomato/lettuce, and black beans/vegan feta - my fave was the roasted veggie one! ($21 for 3). Highly recommend you try their traditional Venezuelan drink Papelon con Limon ($6) made from sugar cane. It is whizzed up in the blender making it creamy and frothy - so refreshing and delicious! Pantano has a lovely shaded outdoor area with plenty of seating, and even a sandpit and toys for the kids.

Fantastic food and drinks, friendly+welcoming service, nice venue. Forgot to take photo of tacos, had beef, black bean and cheese, and chorizo (listed in order of deliciousness) House made sauces very nice too, albeit hot chilli sauce not spicy (I love chilli so probably plenty spicy for average pallet) Smoked rosemary gin cocktail was outstanding, as was the spicy margarita. Had pork arepa, vegan arepa, plantains, and tacos. Plantains very good, soft, but retaining a little firmness a little sweet, a little salty. _reply to owner response Haha thanks for the reply and great food/drinks!!! Honestly, we discussed asking and figured you'd have some, but we were enjoying relaxing too much to get up and trouble you! I sulked that I live so far I couldn't easily bring you in some that I made :) cherrywood smoked habanero sauce, plenty of raw ginger, roast and raw garlic, lime and lemon zest and juice, flame roast cauliflower/tomato/capsicum/zucchini (to dial back chilli heat), and cider vinegar.

My friends brought me here to try out traditional Venezuelan food. Understandably it was my first time and so I let the experts (aka friends) do the ordering. Food was very sweet but delicious. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere here was fun and casual! It was a fantastic night enjoyed by everyone 😀

I went here to try Venezuelan food for the first time, and it was definitely a delightfuly satisfying experience. Monique (or Monic), the gorgeous lady on the counter assisted me in going through the Venezuelan cuisine before I ended up having some of their signature dishes. The Chef too is a very friendly person! Arepas here are to be delighted. Traditional Venezuelan flat corn bread served in burger forms here. I had mine with their home made chorizo pork mince, with their special house made cheese sauce. Matches of potato crisps and fresh shredded lettuce added the freshness and extra crunchy texture to the velvety rich cheese sauce and tangy meaty chorizo. The arepa breads, crispy on the outside and creamy, with a very slim hint of sweetness and richness in flavour, quite reminiscent to Northern Indian style corn or finger milley flat breads. The burger was accompanied with three pieces of tostones; deep fried flattened raw plaintains, that have unique overall texture, very crispy on the outside and slightly chewy and "meaty" almost similar to cassava or taro. These plain tostones were brought to the next level when paired with their four unique house made dipping sauces: the chipotle bbq sauce, bacon mayo, green coriander mayo and the house made chilli sauce. My favourite was the combo of the chipotle bbq sauce with the bacon mayo and chilli sauce that had a hint of corriander and other spices. Another dish being ordered that day was the Loaded Tostones. I had mine with jalapenos, chorizos and fried egg on top. A bit small in portions but to die for! With these top quality of food and great warm friendly service, I will definitely be back here for more exploration of Venezuelan food.

Ordered Australiana and the bbq peri peri sauce was too way spicy for me, wanted to try for first time arepa with beetroot but didn’t feel like is a good mix. The Colombiana was tasty. Loved the papelon flushy. Sadly they didn’t have Malta available:(

Came here for a little birthday celebration and had the most amazing service and meal! Food was fresh and very flavourful and had an extensive drinks menu, will definitely come back to go through more of the food menu! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try South American flavours. The staff were all super lovely and we couldn’t ask for a better ambience and experience. Thank you to the team for a sweet birthday dinner!

We attended for the día de muertos special and it was all we could have hoped for!! Amazing please with kind service, delicious food (never had arepas before) and very good cocktails! Prices are very well balanced, great food for fair prices! As a Mexican, I was looking for all of that but ON TOP of that we also had live music! What a great musician they had! I really had a great time and will be coming back again!

I can honestly say that they serve the most delicious food and cocktails I've had in years. Cocktails rivalling republic of Freo quality. Authentic South American food full of flavour. We will be back for sure.

Nice place for latino fast food. Nice cocktails, maybe a bit expensive, $18 for aperol spritz...burgers were nice and juicy. Staff helpful and very friendly.
