Being new to Perth, I decided to try Dale James and Co. The salon was lovely and so were the staff but I left the salon feeling disappointed and insecure. I was quoted $500 for my balayage at the beginning of the appointment, afraid to back out, I continued with service thinking it would be worth it. At the basin, my knotted hair was yanked at for a long time and I still have a tender scalp from this. My hair already being damaged from bleach at another salon, I cringed as my hair was damaged more with the rough yanking- I have never had my hair brushed like this at any salon or ever in my life. I received a 3 second scalp massage while the stylists chattered loudly across the salon. It wasn’t exactly a relaxing experience liked I had hoped. I walked out with hair that felt dryer than what i walked in with even after paying extra for a treatment. $500 and my hair doesn’t look much different, if anything it has gone more orange. I did ask for natural but I wasn’t pleased to have paid $500 to not really be able to even tell. I was then posted on a stylists instagram page under the wrong name which didn’t make me feel like a very valued customer. I rarely ever speak up and hate giving negative feedback but for what I paid and how I felt walking out, I think some feedback was due.

An absolutely outstanding experience. Dale is fantastic and was able to take charge of what I asked for and really lift my colour which other salons couldn’t (or wouldn’t) do. A stunning salon in a beautiful area and I even received a gift for my birthday ❤️ Ruby-Lee was also a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend 💫

Absolutely, they’ve got a client for life! Everyone works together like a little beehive alongside good music and yummy coffee. I learned the owner schedules team building activities and is constantly reeducating/training his staff with the latest techniques, giving this salon a unique family feel with highly educated and capable artists. I felt so comfortable after a few visits that I finally handed my hair styling (that has not changed in 30 years) over to them and I’m so pleased with my new asymmetrical haircut! I highly recommend this salon to anyone that wants to UP their hair game!
