This is a great place to introduce kids to nature. Lots of places to go hiking and exploring. The center has many activities and tools for learning. The library is a great place to find a book about nature. My kids loved everything here and we can't wait to go back.

Very relaxing walk. Lots of flowers out in May. Got stared at by some deer, lots of squirrels running around, and many birds singing. They are reworking some of the trail So you do have to go down by the main area with the sugar shack to get to most trails.

This nature reserve was really nice. We had a large group and the staff was great. We got to see and learn about some of the animals up close. Very clean. Went for a hike on one of the trails and we saw a deer. Highly recommend checking this place out if you have kids or need an inexpensive activity!

I cannot believe this place exists in the middle of Cedar Valley! It's so serene and dense inside. I just visited yesterday and most trees had turned to yellow and oh my, was it a sight! It has beautiful streams running, a cute little bridge over it and trails amidst the tall trees, it's everything I had hoped for and more. I regret not visiting it before. And I plan to visit it much more. I can't say enough about this place.

Wow, the exhibits inside include live and stuffed (taxidermy) animals, even a Buffalo. An indoor tree house and handmade maple syrup for sale. Attention to detail and creativity of the space amazing. Trail walks are a lil dull for viewing but wow! What an amazing FREE place!

Came here for a class field trip. Staff was very nice and were able to keep the attention and control of a bunch of crazy 1st graders! Lots of trails. Nice nature center.

Many secrets and trails wait to be discovered here. The nature center is beautiful and has activitiesfor kids and adults. Plenty of water and bathrooms are available for hikers.

Went to this park for the first time to take a walk. Saw some wildlife: some deer, birds, etc. The trails are either paved or have gravel, which is nice--although some of the gravel ones could use some care. There is a very nice (for Iowa) bike trail. It's a nice place to go to get out of the daily grind of town. Will definitely go again.

I went to a seminar on “How to attract Butterflies” at Hartman Reserve Nature Center. The speaker was very well informed and assisted in the varieties to attract, especially for the Monarch butterfly. It was awesome! It was free!

Great place to hike. I enjoy winter hikes because you can see the lady of the land without the tree leaves to obscure the view. The flowers in the spring and summer are beautiful. The nature center is pretty good. They have some animals (live and stuffed) on display.

Hartman Reserve is a beautiful gem of Nature in the middle of the Cedar Falls community. It has very well kept trails that include small bridges and stairways. You will often see wildlife in their natural habitat. I have encountered deer, squirrels, mink, raccoons, and multitudes of birds. Turkeys are ofter viewed with there young in the spring... and it is one area that you can view the Pileated Woodpecker. In the Autumn it is simply gorgeous and is often used by photographers for family photos.

The best place to relax in nature. Good to have walk in nature trail. Should improve on placing the directions.
