The church is very nice without question. However, the man there who is serving the public made us feel unwanted and NOT worthy of the Holy communion. Never expected that!! We travelled a long way to visit that church and pray only to be treated like Unworthy!!

Attended Liturgy on a Sunday, would definitely recommend to avoid this Church if you are Christian Orthodox for a number of reasons. They have a chorus and you are feeling like being in a Catholic or Protestant place, it reminded me of Mr Bean's entrance song and not the usual and proper Byzantine psalms that you will see in an Orthodox Church. They have "reserved" seats which is clearly unacceptable, they are not for people who are in need, but they are for people that just arrive late and want to show up for 10 minutes. The place got full in the last 10 minutes of the liturgy which proves a lot. It looks like many free-masons attend as well. In the picture attached one can see the famous eye being next to our Holy Icons and Cross. Just go to another Orthodox Church brothers/sisters, not this one. I am not without sins, but I can tell the wrongfullness in this anglo-influenced place.

One of the most beautiful churches I have been in. Celebrating a wedding was a pleasure to see all the ornate beauty inside.

All Orthodox Christians in London must come and visit. It is an eastern oasis within the clutches of homesickness. The fragrance of incense, sparkle of the candles and friendless of the priests are like a magnet to this sanctuary.

SHOCKED. MAJESTIC. Never expected to witness real art in London. Absolutely fantastic. Basilica of Milano, Estrela, Cathedral of Belém, Fatima and Santiago.. this one is the one of a kind, personally.

An amazing Cathedral, in true Orthodox style. Beautiful design with icons and mosaics, with a visit for that alone. Wonderful place to worship, or just to listen and lose yourself to old song. The illuminated mosaic of Christ inside the dome is just incredible.

Beautiful cathedral. On the inside, it has a square shape. Unexpected. Lots of mosaics. Must see.

There was a mass when we visited (11:15 on Sunday). If you're a tourist like me then you won't be able to appreciate the magnificent building

Truly incredible. And the best time to visit I believe is in the evening. We went around 8/9pm ish, there was no queue. A must-visit for Istanbul.

I went to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Sunday and loved it! The building is beautiful, and inside, its so peaceful. The people there are really friendly. It's great place to learn about Greek traditions. Definitely recommend it!

So, I went with my friend on Easter Saturday to Agia Sophia for the holy liturgy. At the end we queued up for the communion only to be asked whether we were Orthodox. My friend is Catholic and although my mother was Greek and Greek orthodox I am Protestant. Anyway we're were obviously not pious and Christian enough to receive communion. Shame on you st Sophia for not allowing all Christians to share in the blood and body of Christ during the holy weekend.
